Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Зі збільшенням кількості фосфоліпідів авермектинсинтезуюча активність підвищується. Особливістю жирнокислотного складу S. аvermitilis УКМ Ас 2161 є наявність низькомолекулярних кислот, які є попередниками при синтезі авермектину.Авермектинсинтезующий штамм S. аvermіtіlіs УКМ Ас 2161 может образовывать до 12 % липидов. В сумме общих липидов преобладают фосфолипиды (до 23 %), стерины (до 18 %) и триглицериды (до 16 %). С увеличением количества фосфолипидов наблюдается увеличение авермектинсинтезирующей активности. Особенностью жирнокислотного состава S. аvermіtіlіs УКМ Ас 2161 есть присутствие низкомолекулярных кислот, которые являются предшественниками при синтезе авермектина.Avermectin synthesized strain of Streptomyces avermitilis UCM Ac 2161 capable to form up to 12 % of lipids. In the sum of the general lipids prevailed phosphotides (up to 23 %), sterols (up to 18 %) and triglycerides (up to 16 %). Increasing of avermectin synthesized activity was observed with increasing of phosphotides amount. Peculiarity of fatty acid structure of S. avermitilis UCM Ac 2161 was presence of low-molecular acids that are predecessors by avermectins synthesis
