Nivel del consumo de comidas chatarras en escolares de 6 a 12 años de la institución educativa 21573 – Cerro Blanco, 2021
El objetivo principal del estudio fue identificar el nivel de consumo de comidas chatarra de los estudiantes de 6 a 12 años de la institución educativa 21573 – Cerro Blanco. Asi mismo, los objetivos específicos fueron: Describir los tipos de comidas chatarra que consumen los escolares de 6 a 12 años de la institución educativa 21573 – Cerro Blanco. Identificar los componentes de la comida chatarra que consumen los escolares de 6 a 12 años de la institución educativa 21573 – Cerro Blanco. Describir las enfermedades relacionadas con el consumo de comida chatarra de los estudiantes de 6 a 12 años de la institución educativa 21573 – Cerro Blanco. Analizar la influencia comercial para el consumo de comida chatarra en los escolares de 6 a 12 años de la institución educativa 21573 – Cerro Blanco. La metodología se caracterizó por ser de tipo básica, enfoque cuantitativo, diseño no experimental de nivel descriptivo. La población estuvo conformada por 130 alumnos y la muestra por 120 alumnos. Se uso la técnica de la encuesta y un cuestionario de 13 preguntas validado por Vargas y Solorzano (2019). El procesamiento de información se realizó en SPSS versión 25 y el Excel 2019. Los resultados hallados evidencian que el 59,2% de los alumnos de la institución educativa 21573 – Cerro Blanco tiene un nivel moderado de consumo de comida chatarra. Entre los alimentos de mayor consumo esta los snacks (60%) y las galletas (54.2%). El 56.7% de los alumnos consumen alimentos con grasas trans. El 49,2% considera que el consumo de comida chatarra provoca obesidad, sobrepeso y otras enfermedades. Asimismo, se encontró que el 58,3% refiere que la publicidad (TV) influye en el consumo comidas chatarra. En conclusión, se encontró un consumo moderado de comidas chatarras en los alumnos, con una mayor disposición por consumir snacks, galletas y el consumo de alimentos con grasas trans, dichos comportamientos están influenciado en gran medida por publicidad en los medios de comunicaciones tradicionale
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more

Can Genome Sequencing Coupled to Flux Balance Analyses Offer Precision Guidance for Industrial Strain Development? The Lessons from Carbon Trafficking in Corynebacterium glutamicum ATCC 21573

OMICS: A Journal of Integrative Biology. 2023;27(9):434-443.Systems biology tools offer new prospects for industrial strain selection. For bacteria that are significant for industrial applications, whole-genome sequencing coupled to flux balance analysis (FBA) can help unpack the complex relationships between genome mutations and carbon trafficking. This work investigates the l-tyrosine (l-Tyr) overproducing model system Corynebacterium glutamicum ATCC 21573 with an eye to more rational and precision strain development. Using genome-wide mutational analysis of C. glutamicum, we identified 27,611 single nucleotide polymorphisms and 479 insertion/deletion mutations. Mutations in the carbon uptake machinery have led to phosphotransferase system-independent routes as corroborated with FBA. Mutations within the central carbon metabolism of C. glutamicum impaired the carbon flux, as evidenced by the lower growth rate. The entry to and flow through the tricarboxylic acid cycle was affected by mutations in pyruvate and α-ketoglutarate dehydrogenase complexes, citrate synthase, and isocitrate dehydrogenase. FBA indicated that the estimated flux through the shikimate pathway became larger as the l-Tyr production rate increased. In addition, protocatechuate export was probabilistically impossible, which could have contributed to the l-Tyr accumulation. Interestingly, aroG and cg0975, which have received previous attention for aromatic amino acid overproduction, were not mutated. From the branch point molecule, prephenate, the change in the promoter region of pheA could be an influential contributor. In summary, we suggest that genome sequencing coupled with FBA is well poised to offer rational guidance for industrial strain development, as evidenced by these findings on carbon trafficking in C. glutamicum ATCC 21573
