Translation of culture-specific concepts in F. M. Dostoevsky's story «Notes from Underground» when translating from Russian into English
No full textThis dissertation is devoted the problem of translating Russian culture-specific concepts into English from the perspective of the cognitive anthropocentric paradigm. It considers translation strategies and approaches to conveying the cultural and social specificity of culture-specific concepts. It also examines the dynamics in the methods of conveying culture-specific concepts from Russian into English during the 20th century, using the example of translations of Fyodor Dostoyevsky's novel Notes from Underground by K. Garnett, R. Pevear and L. Volokhonsky. The introduction describes the relevance of the study, sets the goal and defines the objectives of the study, as well as its object and subject. In addition, the introduction puts forward a hypothesis of the study, substantiates the scientific novelty, theoretical and practical significance, as well as the practical value of the study. The first chapter examines the main aspects of the culture-specific concepts, existing classifications, and the peculiarities of translating culture-specific concepts in relation to the cultural and social components. The methods for effectively conveying meaning and structure in translation are being discussed as well. In addition, a term of culture-specific concepts is formulated and a classification based on the concepts contained in realities is provided. The term of culture-specific concepts and the classification are going to be used in the course of the study. The second chapter is devoted to examining the approaches of different translators to conveying culture-specific concepts into the target language and the dynamics in the methods of conveying culture-specific concepts from Russian into English throughout the 20th century. In addition, the culture-specific concepts are identified in the research materials, as well as analysed and classified. The concluding section formulates the foundation for ensuring the most accurate transmission of meaning and expression of cultural characteristics when translating culture-specific concepts from one language to another. In conclusion, implications are formulated, and the research hypothesis is confirmed.Данная диссертация посвящена рассмотрению проблемы перевода реалий с русского языка на английский с точки зрения когнитивной антропоцентрической парадигмы. В ней рассматриваются переводческие стратегии и подходы в передаче культурно-социальной специфики концептов, заключенных в переводимых реалиях. Также рассматривается динамика в способах передачи реалий с русского языка на английский в течение XX века на примере переводов повести Ф. М. Достоевского «Записки из подполья» за авторством К. Гарнетт, Р. Пивира и Л. Волохонской. Во введении описывается актуальность исследования, ставится цель и определяются задачи исследования, а также его объект и предмет. Кроме того, во введение выдвигается гипотеза исследования, обосновывается научная новизна, теоретическая и практическая значимость, а также практическая ценность исследования. В первой главе рассматриваются основные аспекты понятия реалия, существующие классификация, а также особенности перевода реалий в отношении культурно-социальной составляющей переводимых реалий, и обсуждаются методы эффективной передачи смысла и структуры при переводе. В дополнение формулируется понятие реалии и классификация, основанная на концептах, заключенных в реалиях, которые будут использоваться в ходе исследования. Вторая глава посвящена рассмотрению подходов разных переводчиков в передаче реалии на переводящий язык и динамики в способах передачи реалий с русского языка на английский в течение XX века. Кроме того, проводится анализ и классификация реалий, выявленных в материалах исследования. В завершающем разделе формулируются выводы для обеспечения наиболее точной передачи смысла и выражения культурных особенностей при переводе реалий с одного языка на другой. В заключении формулируются выводы, а также подтверждается гипотеза исследования
Ecological and economic assessment of the activities of a nuclear power plant
No full textThe purpose of the study is to improve the methodical tools for environmental and economic assessment of the activities of a nuclear power enterprise. A methodical approach to environmental and economic assessment of activities based on data coverage analysis is proposed, which differs from the known ones by using a combination of indicators of incoming resources and the results obtained, considering the specifics of nuclear energy, such as radioactive contamination and the volume of loaded nuclear fuel. The approach allows for a comprehensive assessment of activities based on several performance indicators of a power enterprise and to determine deviations in resource use from optimal values based on slack analysis.Цель исследования в совершенствовании методического инструментария эколого-экономической оценки деятельности предприятия атомной энергетики. Предложен методический подход к эколого-экономической оценке деятельности на основе анализа охвата данных, которая отличается от известных использованием сочетания индикаторов входящих ресурсов и полученных результатов, учитывающих особенности атомной энергетики, такие как радиоактивное загрязнение и объем загруженного ядерного топлива. Подход позволяет комплексно оценить деятельность на основе нескольких показателей работы энергетического предприятия и определить отклонения в использовании ресурсов от оптимальных значений на основе слэк-анализа
Creation of a multilingual educational dictionary for secondary vocational education students specializing in “Ferrous Metallurgy”, “Metal Forming”, “Mechanical Engineering Technology”
No full textThis master's thesis presents an application of contrastive componential analysis to metallurgical and mechanical engineering terminology in Russian, German, and English. The research aims to develop a multilingual educational dictionary for secondary vocational education students specializing in “Ferrous Metallurgy”, “Metal Forming”, and “Mechanical Engineering Technology”. The relevance of this study stems from the pressing need for a multilingual specialized dictionary to support secondary vocational education students in metallurgy and mechanical engineering programs within the context of international collaboration. In the Theoretical Chapter: terminology studies are examined as an independent linguistic discipline with an analysis of its key branches. The concepts of “terminology” and “term system” are delineated, while the principal term formation patterns in German and English specific to metallurgy and mechanical engineering are identified. In the Practical Chapter: the applicability of componential analysis for contrastive terminology research is substantiated; terminological units undergo componential analysis with cross-linguistic comparison; terminological equivalences and discrepancies across the three languages are systematically categorized.В данной магистерской диссертации представлен опыт применения сопоставительного компонентного анализа металлургических и машиностроительных терминов в русском, немецком и английском языках. Цель исследования – создание многоязычного учебного словаря для студентов среднего профессионального образования (СПО) по специальностям «Металлургия черных металлов», «Обработка металлов давлением» и «Технология машиностроения». Актуальность исследования обусловлена необходимостью многоязычного учебного словаря для студентов металлургических и машиностроительных специальностей СПО в условиях международного сотрудничества. В теоретической главе терминоведение рассмотрено как самостоятельная лингвистическая дисциплина с анализом её направлений. Разграничены понятия «терминология» и «терминосистема», а также выявлены основные модели терминообразования в немецком и английском языках применительно к металлургии и машиностроению. В практической главе обоснована применимость компонентного анализа для сопоставительного исследования терминов; выполнен компонентный анализ терминологических единиц с межъязыковым сопоставлением; систематизированы терминологические соответствия и расхождения в трех языках
Psychophysiological mechanisms of stress and body-oriented practices
No full textThe final qualifying work is devoted to the study of the influence of body-oriented practices on the psychophysiological state of students under exam stress. Body practices are considered as a set of exercises aimed at restoring balance between body and mind through breathing, movement and awareness of the body. The aim of the study is to identify the effectiveness of body-oriented practices stress reduction in students. The work provides a theoretical justification of the neuropsychological mechanisms of stress and an experimental study of the effect of body-oriented practices on the level of perceived stress (PSS-10 scale) and cognitive functions (Stroop test). In conclusion, the generalized results confirming the effectiveness of body-oriented practices in reducing stress levels and improving cognitive control in students are presented. The prospects for further research in the field of integrating methods of bodily self-regulation into the educational environment are also outlined.Выпускная квалификационная работа посвящена исследованию влияния телесно-ориентированных практик на психофизиологическое состояние студентов в условиях экзаменационного стресса. Телесные практики рассматриваются как комплекс упражнений, направленных на восстановление баланса между телом и психикой через дыхание, движение и осознанность тела. Целью исследования является выявление эффективности телесно-ориентированных техник как средства саморегуляции и снижения стрессовых состояний у студентов. В рамках работы проведено теоретическое обоснование нейропсихологических механизмов стресса и экспериментальное изучение влияния телесно-ориентированных практик на уровень воспринимаемого стресса (шкала PSS-10) и когнитивные функции (тест Струпа). В заключении представлены обобщенные результаты, подтверждающие эффективность телесно-ориентированных практик в снижении уровня стресса и улучшении когнитивного контроля у студентов. Также обозначены перспективы дальнейших исследований в области интеграции методов телесной саморегуляции в образовательную среду
An investigation into the relationship between oral health and cognitive function in older adults
No full textThis paper examines the relationship between oral health and cognitive impairment in older adults, as well as the impact of mental disorders on oral health. It focuses on dental problems such as dental caries, periodontitis, tooth loss, and masticatory dysfunction and their role in the development of cognitive disorders, including Alzheimer's disease and dementia. Particular attention is paid to the psychological and social aspects of aging, including stress, depression, and social isolation, which can exacerbate both dental problems and cognitive impairment. Chapter 2 examines the mechanisms linking chronic oral inflammation to neurodegenerative processes, as well as the influence of the oral microbiome on cognitive function. Chapter 3 examines the mechanisms linking chronic oral inflammation to neurodegenerative processes, as well as the influence of the oral microbiome on cognitive function. The conclusion summarizes the results obtained, the conclusions on the hypothesis put forward, substantiates the practical significance and describes the prospects for further research. The results of this work can be especially useful for medical practice and dental diagnostics.В данной работе исследуется взаимосвязь между состоянием полости рта и когнитивными нарушениями у пожилых людей, а также влияние психических расстройств на здоровье полости рта. Основное внимание уделяется таким стоматологическим проблемам, как кариес, пародонтит, потеря зубов и дисфункция жевания, и их роли в развитии когнитивных расстройств, включая болезнь Альцгеймера и деменцию. Особое внимание уделяется психологическим и социальным аспектам старения, включая стресс, депрессию и социальную изоляцию, которые могут усугублять как стоматологические проблемы, так и когнитивные нарушения. Во второй главе рассматриваются механизмы, связывающие хроническое воспаление полости рта с нейродегенеративными процессами, а также влияние микробиома полости рта на когнитивные функции В третьей главе рассматриваются механизмы, связывающие хроническое воспаление полости рта с нейродегенеративными процессами, а также влияние микробиома полости рта на когнитивные функции. No full textThe purpose of this work is to develop a script for automating the unloading of areas in machine-readable tabular form (for example, Microsoft Excel format), from Revit software. Based on the described goal, the following tasks were set: description of the main indicators included in the TEI of capital construction facilities; study of existing ways of calculating TEI in Revit software; description of the requirements for the fields of the final file; writing a script and checking its operation; analyzing the results of the work and forming instructions for users.Целью данной работы является разработка скрипта для автоматизации выгрузки площадей в машиночитаемой табличной форме (например, формат Microsoft Excel), из ПО Revit. Основываясь на описанной цели, были поставлены следующие задачи: описание основных показателей, входящих в ТЭП объектов капитального строительства; изучение существующих способов подсчета ТЭП в ПО Revit; описание требований к полям итогового файла; написание скрипта и проверка его работы; проведение анализа результатов работы и формирование инструкции для пользователей
Automation of placement of fire protection couplings in interfloor overlaps on sewer risers using a visual programming environment Dynamo
No full textThe purpose of this study is to write a technical specification for the development of a script, create a script for the placement of fire couplings on sewer risers in interfloor ceilings in the Dynamo visual programming environment, test it on a digital information model in Autodesk Revit 2022, and develop instructions for BIM specialists and users. The object of the study is the analysis of information on fire couplings, a review of similar developments on the market, and an analysis of regulatory documents governing the writing of technical specifications for software development. The scientific novelty lies in the automation of the placement of fire couplings in interfloor overlaps and the ability to download a report on the script's operation in order to determine the correctness of the algorithm.Цели данного исследования – написание технического задания на разработку скрипта, создание скрипта по расстановке противопожарных муфт на канализационных стояках в межэтажных перекрытиях в среде визуального программирования Dynamo, тестирование на цифровой информационной модели в Autodesk Revit 2022, разработка инструкций для BIM-специалистов и для пользователей. Объектом исследования является анализ информации о противопожарных муфтах, обзор аналогичных разработок на рынке, анализ нормативных документов, регламентирующих написание ТЗ на разработку программного обеспечения. Научная новизна состоит в автоматизации расстановки противопожарных муфт в межэтажных перекрытиях и в возможности выгрузки отчета по работе скрипта с целью определения правильности работы алгоритма
