Unveiling Compensatory Mechanisms of Muslim Minority Groups in Hungary

Published online 30 April 2025.The growing population of Muslim consumers and their increasing economic influence have driven the expansion of Islamic goods and services across Europe. However, it is essential to examine how the scarcity of Islamic products and services—or the lack of an Islamfriendly environment, particularly for those living abroad—shapes the behaviors and preferences of Muslim minority groups. In an era of increasing secularization, understanding the complexities of religious practices is crucial, especially for business practitioners seeking to meet the diverse needs of Muslim consumers. This phenomenological study explores the underlying motivations behind compensatory mechanisms among Muslim minorities. Using a qualitative approach, 20 participants from Muslim communities in Hungary took part in in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, and observational studies to examine their compensatory behaviors while living abroad. The analysis identified ten key themes, offering valuable insights into the diverse dimensions of compensatory mechanisms in the Islamic context and their implications for businesses and policymakers in evolving societies
Factors Contributing to the Relatively Low Gender Gap in Entrepreneurship in Russia

Published online 30 April 2025.Entrepreneurship is notably characterized by gender disparities, adversely impacting aggregate income and productivity. Accordingly, this study investigates the determinants of gender gaps in entrepreneurship in Russia, where the entrepreneurship gender gap, which is defined as the difference in entrepreneurial participation rates between men and women, is approximately 2%. Since the 2000s, this gap has remained relatively stable and is notably smaller than in many developed and developing countries. As such, the article highlights Russia’s relatively strong performance in fostering inclusive entrepreneurship using data from the Russian Longitudinal Monitoring Survey, encompassing 197,699 observations from 33,889 individuals (55% women) between 2000 and 2019. Based on panel data regression models and incorporating a comprehensive set of independent variables, including age, education, health status, marital status, number of children, religious participation, physical exercise, trust, migration background, ethnicity, and residence in Moscow and Saint Petersburg. The findings reveal that participation in physical exercise and religious events significantly predicts entrepreneurial activity by gender, offering insights for reducing gender disparities in entrepreneurship. In contrast, traditional variables such as education, marital status, and number of children exhibit negligible effects. These results remain robust across different measures of entrepreneurship and hold when differentiating between necessity-driven and opportunity-driven entrepreneurship. Therefore, the findings suggest that Russia’s experience in narrowing gender gaps in entrepreneurship may serve as a model for other countries

В данной статье представлены результаты исследования структур данных, образованных приложением Telegram в устройствах под управлением операционной системы Android. Из данных приложения Telegram можно получить информацию из обычных и секретных чатов, групп, каналов, атрибуты пользователей, номера телефонов и иную информацию, которая может представлять интерес для компьютерной криминалистики.Devices running the Android operating system are widely used by everyday users. These devices allow for the recording, saving, and processing of various types of information, including data from messaging applications. The data from these messengers may include user correspondence, exchange of media files, voice messages, and other types of information. This article presents the results of a study on data generated by the Telegram app on Android devices. Telegram is a cross-platform messaging app that allows users to send and receive messages. The data collected from Telegram can provide access to information from regular chats, secret chats, group chats, channels, and user attributes. This information is of interest to computer forensics experts who need to analyze the data for various purposes
