Öz Dentigerous cysts constitute 20% of all odontogenic cysts and are often located in the mandible and maxilla. They are often seen at young ages and in men. Patients are usually asymptomatic, and the diagnosis is established by dental radiographs in routine scans. Surgery is recommended for dentigerous cysts because ameloblastoma, intraosseous mucoepidermoid carcinoma, or intraosseous squamous cell carcinoma may develop from them. Generally the transoral route is preferred over the endoscopic route for dentigerous cysts located in the maxilla. In addition to the question of the transnasal versus oral approach to dentigerous cysts, another controversy is the removal or marsupialization of the entire cyst. In our 10-year-old male patient, a cyst that completely filled the right maxillary sinus and eroded the lateral and anterior wall of the maxillary sinus was treated with transnasal endoscopic surgery. The cyst wall and 3 permanent teeth were removed endoscopically. No post-operative complications were observed. The patient’s age and the location and size of the cyst play an important role in the choice of treatment. Furthermore, the most accurate way to choose the appropriate treatment is to make the treatment decision with a multidisciplinary approac

Abstract Aim: This study investigated the effect of neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) on stromal tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (sTILs) and their treatment response. Materials & methods: 115 patients with pre-NAC core biopsies and post-NAC surgical resection specimens were reviewed. Results: There was no significant change between pre- and post-treatment sTILs. Both pre- and post-NAC sTILs were significantly lower in patients with luminal A subtype. An increase in sTILs was observed in 21 (25.9%) patients after NAC, a decrease in 29 (35.8%) and no change in 31 (38.3%; p = 0.07). Pretreatment sTIL density was independent predictor of pathological complete response in multivariate analyses (odds ratio: 1.025, 95% CI: 1.003-1.047; p = 0.023). Conclusion: High sTIL density in core biopsies was independently related to pathological complete response. In addition, ER appears to be the most crucial factor determining the rate of sTIL. New studies have shown that the tumor microenvironment is critical in tumor behavior. Immune cells surrounding tumor cells are the main components of the tumor microenvironment. Our study aimed to investigate the change in immune cells before and after chemotherapy in breast cancer patients. Our study included 115 patients. All patients underwent chemotherapy before surgery to shrink the tumor. Tru-cut biopsy pieces and the breast tissue obtained after surgery were examined. The presence of estrogen or progesterone receptors on tumor cells decreased the number of immune cells surrounding the tumor cells. The number of immune cells did not decrease after chemotherapy. Another finding was that the greater the number of immune cells around the tumor, the more likely that the tumor would disappear after chemotherapy

Abstract In this paper, we have investigated the perturbed Chen–Lee–Liu equation which describes the pulse propagation in the optical fbers, under the impact of the inter-modal dispersion, self-steepening and nonlinear dispersion terms. By using the enhanced modifed extended tanh expansion method, bright, singular, periodic singular and periodic bright solitons have been obtained and the efects of the coefcients of the inter-modal dispersion, self-steepening and nonlinear dispersion terms on the soliton’s dynamics have been examined in each case. In this respect, the review in the article has not been studied and reported before. The computations throughout this paper have been fulflled by Maple and also the graphical simulations are demonstrated via Matlab

Sürdürülebilir beslenme konusunda atılacak her adım, gıda üretiminde harcanan kaynakların en aza indirilmesini, biyoçeşitliliğin korunmasını, sera gazı emisyonlarının önlenmesini, ambalajlı ve yoğun enerji içeren besinlerin tüketiminin azalmasını ve en önemlisi gıda israfının son bulmasını sağlayacaktır.ABSTRACT Rapid population growth, technological advances, and urbanization in the world have led to environmental corruption, leaving the ecological balance seriously threatened. This is why for many years the concept of “sustainability” has been studied to develop a more environmentally conscious attitude. It is aimed at the efficient use of resources that exist with sustainability and to meet the needs of future generations. Like all events in the world, diet at the center of human life is an important part of sustainability. The environmental impacts nutrients have created throughout the life cycle have led to the emergence of the concept of “sustainable nutrition”. In all processes that take nutrients from field to table, the emissions of greenhouse gases released into the atmosphere, water, soil energy use, production, storage, packing, transport, and the waste and losses that occur in phases are of great importance to sustainability. Sustainable nutrition covers nutrition models that recommend the consumption of fruits, vegetables, full cereals, legumes, oily seeds and olive oil, which include herbal-based nutrients, and restrict the intake of animal food, saturated fat and sugar. Examples of these diet include Mediterranean, Barilla Double Pyramid, DASH, New Nordic, Vegetarian, Vegan, and Flexitarian dieting. Each step in sustainable nutrition will ensure that the resources spent in food production are minimized, biodiversity is maintained, greenhouse gas emissions are prevented, food consumption is reduced and, most importantly, food waste is ended

Introduction: Child abuse combines emotional, physical, sexual, and neglect aspects of violence, thus diversifying the trauma for a child. Publications about child abuse had been discussed in academia for long years and evaluated by bibliometric analysis, frequently. This study aims to evaluate the most discussed/disseminated scientific publications about child abuse in electronic media such as social media accounts, blogs, podcasts, and media news sites using a new analysis method called altmetric analysis. Methods: The data were obtained from the Altmetric Explorer database using the phrase “child abuse,” in 2021. After being ranked by altmetric attention score (AAS), descriptive statistics for all publications as well as detailed analyses for the first-100 publications were performed. Variables evaluated were AAS, dimensions-badge value, distribution of web sources, demographic/geographic-breakdown type distributions, main subject categories, and mesh terms. Kruskal Wallis test was used for AAS and dimensions-badge value comparisons while Spearman correlations and regression analysis were also performed. Analyses were performed by SPSS 23.0 (IBM SPSS, Inc., Chicago, IL, USA) and p<0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: Publications about child abuse were shared extensively on social media, mostly on Twitter. In terms of the main subject, sexual abuse was the trending topic, followed by physical abuse and maltreatment. Psychology, studies in human society, health sciences, and law/legal issues were the four main science categories about the subject. The United States was the major disseminator of publications while Child Abuse and Neglect was the most productive journal. There was a weak but significant (p<0.05) positive correlation between AAS and dimensions-badge values. Conclusion: Child abuse is a multidimensional subject in social media. As the number of publications increases, the possibility of articles to be shared on different social media platforms also increases. The majority of the top-100 publications are the ones emphasizing the importance of child abuse in terms of the prevalence, individual/social burden, and negative consequences

Purpose This study aimed to identify and describe the outcomes of diferent endoscopic treatments and the predictive factors afecting success in the treatment of symptomatic vesicoureteral refux (VUR) after kidney transplantation. Methods Patients who had undergone endoscopic injection treatment for symptomatic VUR detected by VCUG with at least 1-year follow-up were included in the study. Patients with dysfunctional and/or obstructive voiding patterns were excluded from the study. We retrospectively evaluated the patient’s characteristics, operative information about the type of injection (one, two, or four-point) and the bulking agent (DX-HA, PPC), and perioperative data. Clinical success was defned as no febrile UTI, and radiological success was defned as the absence of VUR in VCUG 3 months after the operation. Clinical success, radiological success, and encountered complications were statistically analyzed. Results A total of 76 patients were included in this study. The one-point, two-point, and four-point injection technique was applied to 32 (42.1%), 13 (17.1%), and 31 (40.7%) of patients, respectively. PPC and DX-HA were used as bulking agents in 54 (71.1%) and 22 (28.9%) patients, respectively. The clinical success rate was 73.7% (n=56). In logistic regression analysis, a signifcant efcacy of the four-point technique was observed in the univariate analysis of clinical success (p=0.042). The radiological success rate was 40.8% (n=31). In the logistic regression analysis, DX-HA and PPC radiological success was attained in 4 (18.1%) and 27 (50%) patients, respectively (p=0.01). Ureterovesical junction (UV) stricture developed in 5 (6.5%) patients. There was no diference between injection techniques and bulking agents in terms of the development of UV stricture (p=0.32; p=0.08). Conclusion The success of endoscopic treatment in patients with VUR after kidney transplantation can be increased by multiple injections. Furthermore, PPC can be used to obtain a higher radiological success
