    Conservation laws for dispersive optical solitons with Radhakrishnan–Kundu–Lakshmanan model having quadrupled power-law of self-phase modulation

    This paper obtains conservation laws for the newest version of Radhakrishnan–Kundu–Lakshmanan model that comes with quadrupled form of nonlinearity. The multiplier approach makes this retrieval possible. The conserved quantities are derived from the bright 1-soliton that has been recently reported. The results are in terms of special functions

    Abstract The breather wave and lump periodic wave solutions for the (2 + 1)-dimensional Caudrey–Dodd– Gibbon–Kotera–Sawada system are established in this paper. To achieve such novel solutions, we employ the Hirota bilinear approach. The novel breather and lump periodic solutions have been researched to explain unique physical challenges. These breakthroughs have been demonstrated to be advantageous in the transmission of long-wave and high-power communications networks.     The relations between career adaptability, career engagement and Life satisfaction

    Based on the Career Construction Model of Adaptation (CCMA), this study aimed to examine the relations between career adaptability, career engagement, and life satisfaction in Turkish young adults. Participants were university students, 410 Turkish young adults (75.9% females and 24.1% males), aged 18-26 years (M = 20.80, SD = 1.50). Structural equation modeling was used to test the hypotheses of the present study. After controlling the perceived socioeconomic status, career adaptability was found to be associated with career engagement and life satisfaction. Moreover, career engagement was related to life satisfaction. The result of the structural equation model and bootstrapping analyses showed that career engagement fully mediated the relationship between career adaptability and life satisfaction. The results of the study indicated that engagement in proactive career behaviors explains how career adaptability and life satisfaction are related. The results of this study improve our understanding of the link between career adaptability and life satisfaction, with particular emphasis on the role of career engagement as a mediator. The result was discussed regarding the relevant literature and the implications were provided

    The comparative report on dynamical analysis about fractional nonlinear drinfeld-sokolov-wilson system

    The new extended direct algebraic technique is used to attain the new exact solitary wave solutions of the nonlinear fractional couple Drinfeld–Sokolov–Wilson system (DSWS). This DSWS has a lot of applications in water waves, fluid mechanics, quantum mechanics, chemistry, and biology. This system is developed in the perspective of fractional theory of calculus, for this purpose Riemann–Liouville fractional derivative (RLFD), β-fractional differential operator and Atangana–Baleanu fractional derivative (ABFD) are utilized. The attained solutions contain some new families such as trigonometric functions, hyperbolic functions, rational functions, logarithmic functions, and exponential functions. The graphically analysis and comparison of solutions are plotted by taking appropriate values of the constant parameters to enhance the understanding of physical real-life phenomena. The approach is said to be compatible and effective as a scientific approach for the examination of the various spacetime fractional models in engineering and physics concerning real-life issues

    Danışman: Prof. Dr. Fatma ÇelikKanser oluştuğu bölgeyi doğrudan etkileyen ve metastaz yapabilen, ilerleyen zamanlarda ise organ kaybına yol açabilen sistemik bir hastalıktır. Kanser hastalarının sağ kalım ve yaşam kalitelerini etkileyen tedavilerin yan etkileri, beslenme bozukluğuna yol açabilmektedir. Yapılan bu araştırmada, kanser tanısı almış, farklı evrelerde olan bireylerin, Malnütrisyon Konusunda Küresel Liderlik Girişimi (GLİM) kriterlerine göre değerlendirilip, malnütrisyon varlığının saptanması amaçlanmıştır. Bu araştırma İstanbul Avrasya Hastanesine Onkoloji Bölümüne başvuran ve tedavi gören, gönüllü 40 bireye (13 Erkek, 27 Kadın) ait veriler ile gerçekleştirilmiş olup, bireylerin demografik özellikleri, beslenme durumları sorgulanmış, Nutritionday, Nutrition Risk Screening-2002 (NRS-2002) tarama testleri ve yöntemleri uygulanmış, antropometrik ölçümleri alınmış ve bazı biyokimyasal bulguları saptanmıştır. Ortalama yaş kadınlarda 55,5±13,4 yıl ve erkeklerde 58,2±9,8 yıldır. Kadınlarda gözlenen kanser türleri açısından, %44,4 ‘ü meme, %18,5’u akciğer ve over, %7,4’ü rektum, %3,7’si kolon, mide ve pankreas kanseridir. Erkek bireylerde ise, %53,8’i akciğer, %15,4’ü rektum ve %15,4 ‘ü kolon kanseri, %7,7 ‘si mide ve meme kanseri görülmektedir. GLİM kriterlerine göre, en düşük malnütrisyon riski %6,3 ile kanserin 1’nci evresinde görüldüğü, en yüksek risk ise evre 3 %32,3 ile ve %29,15 ile metastazı olan kanserli bireylerde görülmüştür. Ayrıca, NRS-2002 skor ortalaması 2,12±0,33 bulunmuştur. Bu dağılımlar gruplar arasında önemli farklılık göstermektedir (p<0,05). Bu sonuçlar ışığında; literatür ile uyumlu bu grup, tedavi esnasında beslenme bozukluğu yaşamaktadır. Bu nedenle kanser hastaları tedavi başlangıcından itibaren malnütrisyona yakalanma riski ile karşı karşıya kalabilecekleri için, sıklıkla taranma testleri doğrultusunda taranmalı ve gerektiği takdirde beslenme desteği almalıdır.Cancer is a systemic disease that directly affects the area where it occurs, can metastasize, and can lead to organ loss in the future. The side effects of treatments that affect the survival and quality of life of cancer patients can lead to malnutrition. In this study, it was aimed to determine the presence of malnutrition by evaluating individuals diagnosed with cancer and at different stages according to the criteria of the Global Leadership Initiative on Malnutrition (GLIM). This research was carried out with the data of 40 volunteers (13 Male, 27 Female) who applied to the Oncology Department of Istanbul Avrasya Hospital and were treated, and the demographic characteristics and nutritional status of the individuals were questioned. Nutritionday, Nutrition Risk Screening-2002 (NRS-2002) screening tests were carried out. And methods were applied, anthropometric measurements were taken and some biochemical findings were determined.The mean age was 55.5±13.4years for women and 58.2±9.8 years for men. In terms of cancer types observed in women, 44.4% breast, 18.5% lung and ovary, 7.4% rectum, %3,7 of them are colon, stomach and pancreatic cancers. In male individuals, 53.8% lung cancer, 15.4% rectum and 15.4% colon cancer, % 7.7 of them are stomach and breast cancer.According to the GLIM criteria, the lowest risk of malnutrition is 6.3% in the 1st stage of cancer, the highest risk is stage 3 with 32.3% and 29.15% have been observed in individuals with cancer with metastases.n addition, the mean NRS-2002 level was found to be 2.12±0.33. These distributions differed significantly between groups (p<0.05). In the light of these results; Consistent with the literature, this group suffers from malnutrition during treatment. For this reason, since cancer patients may face the risk of developing malnutrition from the beginning of treatment, they should be screened frequently in line with screening tests and should receive nutritional support if necessary

We obtain three types of optical wave patterns with the help of the trial equation approach and the complete discriminant system for a polynomial.     Abstract: Modelling microwave assisted extraction (MAE) of phenolics from dandelion (Taraxacum officinale) was carried out via response surface methodology in this study. Face-centered composite design was used to optimize the MAE factors as temperature and time of extraction, concentration of solvent and ratio between solid and solvent. Process factors of the MAE were optimized for maximum total phenolic content (TPC) of the dandelion extract.     Abstract This paper carries out the analytical optical soliton solutions of perturbed Radhakrishnan– Kundu–Lakshmanan (pRKL) equation with Kerr law nonlinearity using an efcient modifed extended tanh expansion method, enhanced with the new Riccati solutions (eMETEM). In this study, we have established robust solutions for the pRKL by using the eMETEM method for the frst time. We have focused to construct the efective scheme for the solution of governing model. Bright, dark, combined bright-dark, singular, multiple singular, fat kink-like, breather-like, periodic, diferent periodic optical solitons have been successfully obtained and confrmed with the help of Maple and Matlab symbolic computation packages. The physical properties of the data have been discussed and presented in 3D, 2D and contour graphics. The results have also been interpreted in the relevant sections

    Abstract. This study investigates various analytic soliton solutions of the generalized (2+1)-dimensional Calogero-Bogoyavlenskii-Schiff (CBS) equation in fluid dynamics and plasma physics using a recently introduced technique which is the New Kudryashov method. Moreover, it is examined how the wave propagation in both directions represented by the CBS equation occurs. The considered equation describes the interaction of the long propagating wave in the x axis with the Riemann propagating wave along the y axis. To get traveling wave solutions of the CBS equation, it is transformed into a nonlinear ordinary differential equation (NLODE) using a proper wave transformation. Supposing that the NLODE has some solutions in the form provided by the method, one can obtain a nonlinear system of algebraic equations. The unknowns in the system can be found by solving the system via computer algebraic systems such as Mathematica and Maple, etc. Substituting the unknowns into the trial solutions provided by the method, we get the solutions of the NLODE. Then, putting wave transformations back into the solutions of NLODE, we get the solutions of the considered CBS equation. We present the 2D, 3D and contour plots to illustrate the physical behavior of the obtained solutions using the appropriate parameters. Besides, the schematic representation of wave motion of the soliton along both spatial axes and its interpretation are given. The used novel technique can be used for a wide range of partial differential equations (PDEs) in the real world. It is expected that the derived soliton solutions might be helpful for better understanding the wave behavior and so, it might contribute to future studies in various disciplines

    Danışman: Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Ayşe YıldızDünya genelinde ölümlere yol açan COVID-19 ve virüsün sebep olduğu kısıtlamalar nedeniyle insanlarda korku ve paniğe yol açmaktadır. Pandemi sürecinin psikolojik etkileri ruh sağlığı açısından bakıldığında, bireylerde yüksek kaygı ve strese neden olduğu ve bireylerin mutluluğunu, yaşam niteliğini ve doyumunu içeren iyi oluşu olumsuz etkilediği görülmüştür. Süreçten olumsuz yönde en çok etkilenen gruplardan biri de üniversite öğrencileri olmuştur. Araştırmanın amacı, bu süreçte üniversite öğrencilerinin COVID-19 korkusu ile psikolojik iyi oluş arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemektir. Araştırmanın evrenini bir vakıf üniversitesi Meslek Yüksek Okulunda öğrenim gören öğrenciler oluşturmaktadır (N=3297). Veri toplama araçları olarak öğrencilerin demografik bilgilerinin yer aldığı Kişisel Bilgi Formu, COVID-19 Korkusu Ölçeği ve Psikolojik İyi Oluş Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın istatistiksel analizleri için Statistical Package for the Social Sciences v.24.0 (SPSS- IBM Corporation, New York, NY, ABD) programı kullanılmıştır. Analizler için frekans, yüzdelik dağılım, ortalama, minimum-maksimum değerleri, Shapiro Wilk, Mann-Whitney U, Kruskal Wallis H, Levene varyans homojenite, One-Way ANOVA Post Hoc (Dunn Testi) testleri kullanılmıştır. Katılımcıların yaş ortalaması 21.05±4.31 şeklinde olup, kadın katılımcı sayısı 321 (%80,5)tir. Katılımcıların %74,7sinin (n=298) COVID-19 hastalığına yakalanmadığı ve yakalanmayanların %59,1'inin (n=176) COVID-19 bulaşacağından korktuğu belirlendi. Katılımcılara ait değişkenlerin COVID-19 Korkusu ölçeği puan ortalamalarına bakıldığında kadın cinsiyetteki katılımcıların erkek cinsiyetteki katılımcılara ve çalışmayan katılımcıların çalışan katılımcılara kıyasla anlamlı düzeyde COVID-19 korkusu yaşadığı belirlendi. COVID-19 Korkusu Ölçeği toplam puan ortalaması ile Psikolojik İyi oluş Ölçeği puan ortalaması arasında negatif yönde düşük düzeyde ve istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir ilişki saptandı.This virus, which causes deaths worldwide, and the restrictions caused by the virus cause fear and panic in people. When the psychological effects of the pandemic process are examined in terms of mental health, it has been seen that it causes high anxiety and stress in individuals and negatively affects well-being, including happiness, quality of life and satisfaction of individuals. One of the groups most negatively affected by the process was university students. The aim of the study is to examine the relationship between the fear of COVID-19 and psychological well-being of university students in this process. The population of the research consists of students studying at Biruni University Vocational School (N=3297). Personal Information Form including students' demographic information, COVID-19 Fear Scale and Psychological Well-Being Scale were used as data collection tools. Statistical Package for the Social Sciences v.24.0 program was used for the statistical analysis of the research. Frequency, percentile distribution, mean, minimum-maximum values, Shapiro Wilk, Mann-Whitney U, Kruskal Wallis H, Levene variance homogeneity, One-Way ANOVA Post Hoc (Dunn Test) tests were used for analysis. The mean age of the participants was 21.05±4.31 and the number of female participants was 321 (80.5%). It was determined that 74.7% (298) of the participants did not get COVID-19 disease and 59.1% (176) of those who did not were afraid of contracting COVID-19. When the mean of the COVID-19 Fear scale scores of the variables of the participants was examined, it was determined that the female participants had more fear of COVID-19 compared to the male participants and the non-working participants compared to the working participants. A low negative and statistically significant correlation were found between the total mean score of the COVID-19 Fear Scale and the mean score of the Psychological Well-Being Scale
