KAJI NUMERIK DAN EKSPERIMENTAL LENDUTAN BALOK BAJA KARBON ST 60 DENGAN TUMPUAN ENGSEL - ROL
The aim of this study is to analyze the deflection phenomena of ST 60 steel with numerically and experimentally placed on the hinge-roller support. The study applies the integration method for numerical analysis and testing method for experimental ones. The supports use a hinge-roller with the material of carbon steel of ST 60 with length 0.8 m, width 0.01 m and thickness 0.01 m. The result shows that the maximum deflection occurs at x = 0.4 m with a loading of 2.5 kg for each location of loading. The value of deflection obtained experimentally was greater than of numerically
KINERJA REFRIGERAN HCR-22 SEBAGAI PENGGANTI REFRIGERAN R-22 PADA SISTEM PENYEGARAN UDARA DOMESTIK KINERJA REFRIGERAN HCR-22 SEBAGAI PENGGANTI REFRIGERAN R-22 PADA SISTEM PENYEGARAN UDARA DOMESTIK
The purpose of this study is to analyze the performance of HCR-22 refrigerant as a subtitute matter to R-22 refrigerant. The research methods is to test the influence of the usage of different refrigerant to the cooling length of the room, cooling effect, compressor work, the COP and refrigerant mass flow rate. The results show that HCR-22 refrigerant more quickly cool the room compared to R-22 refrigerant. Average cooling effect of HCR-22 refrigerant = 256,606 kJ/kg and R-22 refrigerant = 159.927 kJ / kg. Average working compressor of HCR-22 refrigerant = 60,334 kJ/kg and R-22 refrigerant= 25.361 kJ / kg; COP of HCR-22 refrigerant = 4,141 and R-22 refrigerant = 6.306; Mass flow rate of HCR-22 refrigerant = 0,039kg / s and R-22 refrigerant = 0.062 kg / s
PENENTUAN FREKUENSI PRIBADI PADA GETARAN BALOK KOMPOSIT DENGAN PENGUAT FIBERGLASS
This aim of the study was to experimentally analyze the natural frequency (wn) of fiberglass reinforced polymer composite beam. The study used the spectrum method for experimental analysis. The spectrum method for experimental analysis was done by various position of 5 exciters. The supports used were a fixed-free (cantilever) with the material of fiberglass reinforced polymer composite in the form of beam with length 50 cm, width 3 cm, and thickness 2 cm. Composite material consisted of two compositions that was 5 % of fiberglass and 20 % of fiberglass. The devices used in the study was testing machine, IRD mechanalysis comprising vibration sensor, speed regulation unit, tachometer, and vibrator engine. The measurement was done on deflection, frequency response function, and spectrum. The results of the study obtained : For experimental analysis, at percentage of fiberglass 5 %, value wnmax = 13125 rpm, wnmin = 12600 rpm, whereas the percentage of fiberglass 20 %, value wnmax = 13230 rpm, wnmin = 12990 rpm
KARAKTERISTIK TERMAL BRIKET ARANG SEKAM PADI DENGAN VARIASI BAHAN PEREKAT
The aim of this research is to find out of thermal characteristics of husk briquette with glue materials that is made of tapioca powder with content variations; 7%, 10% and 15%.This research used experiment method to find out of thermal characteristic consists of: High Heating Value HHV, Moisture content M, Ash content A, Volatile Matters content VM, Fixed Carbon Content FC and combustions efficiency. The result of investigations are; HHV = 2789 cal/g, M = 2.67%, A = 39.06 %, VM = 42.92%, FC= 15.53% and combustions efficiency 59.07%. All of them are find out from 7% of glue content materials
RANCANG BANGUN OMNI WHEELS ROBOT DENGAN RODA PENGGERAK INDEPENDENT
Omniwheels robot is a kind of mobile robot that can be moved to any direction, different cases than non-holonomic mobile robot. The advantage of omniwheels is shape of the wheel. Control method of this research is kinematic control. The derivation of such method is matrices velocities of omniwheels robot.Than, the control system was implemented to tracking trajectory problem. Still in the control system, it was choosing closed loop control for auto navigation problem. Finally, the robot also was used ultrasonic sensors for obstacle avoidance problem

This study aimed to obtain the influence of the mass flow rate of heat transfer coefficient on average that occurs in the capillary tube and the relationship between mass flow with heat transfer coefficient on average in the capillary tube. This research was conducted at the University Engineering Laboratory Cooling Tadulako. Test methods used in the study is testing them experimentally. Data were collected by taking a direct test data on test equipment. Data were analyzed theoretically based on the experimental test data. STUDI KARAKTERISTIK TERMAL BRIKET ARANG KULIT BUAH KAKAO
Background of this investigation is reasoned by fuel consumptions focusing on oil and gas which they are limited resource energy and its cost rising any time. On the other side, available of biomass energy is still overflow and within renewable resources. This research investigates thermal characteristic’s of cacao char briquette that consists of High Heating Value (HHV), Volatile Matters (VM), Moisture (M), Ash (A), thermal efficiency and emission gas of real combustions on briquette stove. The result of investigations are; HHV=6308.207 kcal/kg, VM=58,75%, M=3.27%,A=23.53%, FC= 25.55%, maximum thermal efficiency is 35.67% and emissions gas consist of CO and CO2 are safe of human being according to WHO Standard
EFEK TEMPERATUR PIPA KAPILER TERHADAP KINERJA MESIN PENDINGIN
The aims of this research are to obtain (1) the effect of the capillary tube temperature on the refrigerant condition and the refrigerating capacity in the refrigeration system and (2) the optimum temperature condition for obtain better system performance.This research was done in the Refrigeration System Laboratory at Tadulako University in Palu. The method applied in this research is an experimental method, with various temperature at capillary tube. Various temperature is obtained by placing capillary tube in freezer from other refrigeration system (refrigerator), through arrangement of thermostat.The result of this research indicates that decreasing cooling temperature of capillary tube causes refrigerating capacity and Coefficient of Performance of refrigeration system increases. Optimum performance of this examination during 30 minutes, obtained on the lowest thermostat temperature position that is –20°C ( position 7) with Coefficient of Performance (COP) of 2.71
RANCANG BANGUN KURSI RODA ELEKTRIK UNTUK KONDISI NAIK TURUN TANJAKAN
This study aims to find out/design and electronic wheelchair that can go up and down a slope, as an aid facility for people with disabilities and elderly people. The wheelchair uses a relay motor control program applied in a microcontroller controlling a DC Motor. This study is intended to inprove the writer’s skills in designing electric wheelchairs that can go up and down a slope. In terms of academic purpose, it is expected that this research can provide additional knowledge for students, especially the students of Mechanical Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, Hasanuddin University about wheelchair design that can be beneficial in increasing production through automation in the field of science and technology. The electric wheelchair is equipped with a microcontroller that can receive instructions from a mover stick. It also has a visual equipment that can facilitate the wheelchair user. The instruction from the mover stick will be directly sent because it is connected to the microcontroller by using a serial cable. The results reveal that the manual wheelchair stick / drive shaft driven directly by the user sends instructions to the microcontroller in accordance with the desired wheelchair movement.The signal will be forwarded to the driver that will drive the motor. In this system, the mover stick functions as a user interface connected to the control system. The control system consists of several electronic chains that function to control the electric wheelchair equipped with components of interface input/output and a driver as the actuator
KONFIGURASI SISTEM KEMUDI DAN PENGGERAK KENDARAAN TRAKTOR PERTANIAN DALAM BERBAGAI ARAH GERAK
This study aims to describe and show the configuration of the integration between the steering system on both front wheel drive system and the controller at the rear wheels on the vehicle type agricultural tractors. The system comprises four tractor steering wheel. Model analysis of the movement of the system displayed good mathematical equation model moves toward forward, rewind and play with various configurations. Further analysis was performed in Mathlab program that makes it easy to see variations of the steering angle, wheel speed drive and motion of different models using the specific parameters that correspond to the size of one type of agricultural tractors. The ability to move the steering wheel in different directions and the steering wheel angle greatly affect the ability of the tractor to resist external forces that occur when the through road, especially elevation and slippery. This analytical model can be developed for other types of agricultural vehicles, such as lawn mowers and off-road vehicles
