    ANALISIS SISTEM PENGEREMAN PADA MOBIL MITSUBISHI L300 JENIS PICK-UP

    This research aims to analyze the parameters affecting the approach of analyzing both drum and disc brakes on Mitsubishi L300 vehicle of pick-up type. Supporting data was procured by measuring intensively the car brakes component in the Automotive engineering laboratory of Tadulako University and in the Duty Communication of District in Palu. Result of calculation indicates that rotation drum brake both CW and CCW affects the braking force (F). They are 643 and 2.828 kg, respectively. Associating with disc brakes, the tread of pedal brake influences oil pressure on brakes leading to force brakes on the axle. Permitting pedal force is about 19 kg. To pursue brakes analysis on the vehicle, simulation should be taken

    This study aimed to obtain the influence of the average steam quality of heat transfer coefficient on average that occurs in the capillary tube and the relationship between average steam qualities with heat transfer coefficient on average in the capillary tube. This research was conducted at the University Engineering Laboratory Cooling Tadulako. Test methods used in the study is testing them experimentally. Data were collected by taking a direct test data on test equipment. Data were analyzed theoretically based on the experimental test data. The results of this study, namely that the refrigerant mass flow rate affect the heat transfer coefficient on average that occurs in the capillary tube is in the form of equation is hcm = 59569.78 xm^1.5

    The study aims to find out how to get start in fabricating Banki turbine of 200 watt in electical power capacity and determine the influence of fixed blade opening and dynamometer loading variation. This study was performed and examined directly in the laboratory of University of Muslim Indonesia Makassar, turbine rotation velocity, water capacity, were measured using hand tachometer, and manometer respectively. The fixed blade valve setting also performed during the test.The result of study show that fixed blade opening with load variation at constant rotation turbine produced maximum power as follows: fixed blade opening of 12o with 2 kg load in 550 rpm produced 72 watt of electrical power and maximum fixed blade opening of 20o with 5.2 kg load in 550 rpm produced 186 watt of electrical power

    This research is aimed to understand the effect of length-embedded fibres to interfacial shear strength on epoxy resin composite reinforced “melinjo” stem fibres. Pull-out testing was performed with variation of length-embedded fibres including 1 mm, 3mm, and 5mm. Prior to pull-out testing, fibres were treated with boiling with water media and 5% NaOH media. The results showed that fibres with surface treatment using boiling of 5%NaoH have higher interfacial fibre shear strength, but fibres without surface treatment have lower interfacial fibre shear strength. For length - embedded fibre, the highest  interfacial fibre shear strength were obtained on the length-embedded fibre respectively from 1 mm, then 3 mm and 5mm

    Research on the effect of temperature and silicon content cast on the value of Al-Si alloy violence done by re-casting of the alloy Al-0.24% Si. The temperature variation with temperature castings made ​​71, 760 and 810oC. The addition of silicon content is done by adding alloys Al-0.24% Si alloy ADC 12. From the results of the study concluded that the temperature did not cast a significant influence on increasing the value of violence. Effect of the addition of silicon content increases the value of the product of violence cast Al-0, 24Si at 33.67 to 56.06 BHN on silicon content of 2.66% for a temperature of 710oC cast. Hardness value at a temperature of 760OC castings for silicon content of 0.24% by 34.59 BHN also experienced an increase in the silicon content of 2.66% to 50.81 BHN hardness value. BHN hardness value of 36.55 at a temperature of 810 OC cast for the silicon content of 0.24% increased to 54.24 BHN on silicon content of 2.66%

    This study aims to determine the effect of strain (vertical and horizontal directions) in analyzing the static loading stress on the aluminum rod. Research use aluminum rod with dimensions of 110 cm long and 30 cm, height 32.8 mm and 1.2 mm thick, two strain gage to the vertical direction and two for the horizontal direction. Giving the load from 500 grams to 10,000 grams is done. Results show that areas closed to vertical support (T2 = 26647375.311) has very high voltage compared to area in the middle (T1 = 2628679.465). Whereas, for the horizontal direction shows that the area near the support (T2 = 2629098.313) is much greater than in the middle pedestal (T1 =2659709.133)

    This study aims to analyze the influence of rotation and temperature on the strength of welded joints (tensile strength and strain stress) from the result of friction welding using low carbon steel (St.42). The Friction welding process was carried out by varying the rotation (550 rpm, 1020 rpm and 1800 rpm) and temperature (750oC, 800oC and 850oC). The results of the friction welding were then examined to find out their connections strength. The initial data of this research were obtained through the testing of tensile stress and strain stress by using the tensile testing machine and the torsion testing machine. The data obtained from the tests were analyzed by using statistical methods of regression and ANOVA. The results reveal that the maximum tensile strength value ​​and the highest maximum strain stress occur at the rotation of 1800 rpm  and the temperature of 850oC. The values were: σmax = 403.80 N/mm2 and ד max = 365.89 N/mm2.
