Positive Feedback Improves Students’ Psychological and Physical Learning Outcomes
Abstract. Positive feedback is one of the core strategies used to make educational environment and students’ learning outcomes better. This review aims at revealing the role of positive feedback in improving students’ psychological and physical learning outcomes. Meanwhile, it questions the efficiency of combining positive and negative feedbacks in order to provide better educational experience for students. The findings of the analysis reveal that there is positive relationship between positive feedback and students’ physical and psychological learning outcomes. More specifically, positive feedback is advantageous in increasing students’ motivation, confidence, self-efficacy and academic skills. Furthermore, the study also confirms the benefits of combining positive and negative feedbacks in order to improve students’ learning outcomes and advance their academic skills
Pengembangan E-book Biologi Berbasis Konstruktivistik untuk Meningkatkan Motivasi Belajar Siswa SMA Kelas XI
Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan e-book biologi berbasis konstruktivistik untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa SMA kelas XI. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan model ADDIE. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa SMAN 3 makassar kelas XI dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 22 orang. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Agustus 2019. Instrumen yang dikembangkan berupa instrumen validitas e-book biologi berbasis konstruktivistik, Instrumen motivasi belajar siswa, Instrumen respon guru dan siswa. E-book biologi dikembangkan berdasarkan prinsip konstruktivistik : (1) learning personalization, (2) reflective thinking, (3) problem solving and investigation, (4) relevance to daily-life, (5) collaborative learning, (6) discussion, dan (7) teacher scaffolding. E-book yang dikembangkan menggunakan software flipcreator dengan menambahkan media berupa gambar, video dan animasi. E-book yang dikembangkan kemudian diuji validitas hingga dinyatakan valid oleh validator lalu diimplementasikan untuk mengetahui respon siswa dan guru serta efektifitas dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa e-book biologi konstruktivistik yang dikembangkan memenuhi kriteria kevalidan (4,3), kepraktisan (66,67 %) dan efektif dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa hal ini ditandai dengan meningkatnya aspek perhatian, relevansi, keyakinan dan kepuasan sebagai faktor persepsional motivasi.
PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN MENULIS PARAGRAF DESKRIPSI MELALUI MEDIA VISUAL PADA SISWA
Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan keterampilan menulis paragraf deskripsi dengan menggunakan media visual. Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang dilaksanakan sebanyak dua siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan dalam hal proses pembelajaran dapat dilihat dari meningkatnya aktivitas siswa selama proses pembelajaran. Peningkatan hasil pembelajaran dapat dilihat dari skor rata-rata yang diperoleh. Pada tahap prasiklus diperoleh skor rata-rata 63,2, tahap siklus I meningkat menjadi 78,8, dan tahap siklus II meningkat lagi menjadi 88,75. Hal tersebut menunjukkan adanya peningkatan dari setiap tahap. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media visual dinilai berhasil dan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis paragraf deskripsi pada siswa kelas X SMA Negeri I Wonomulyo Polewali Mandar
PENERAPAN STRATEGI SURVEY QUESTION READING RECITE REVIEW (SQ3R) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MEMBACA PEMAHAMAN SISWA
This study aims to describe the application of learning strategy of SQ3R to improve reading comprehension ability of the fourte grade student of SDN Mapala Kec. Rappocini Makassar. Type of this research is class room action research wich overwhelm planning step, action, observation and reflection. This research is focus on student n teacher. Result of the research shows that teacher’s teaching activity in cycle is in category cukup while in cycle II is in category baik. In cycle of frequency of ketuntasan categoried tidak tuntas and of the name some time in cycle II categoried as tuntas.The conclusion is applying of SQ3R can improve reading comprehension ability of fourt grade student of SDN Mapala Kec Rappocini Makassa
PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA PADA MATERI DIMENSI TIGA BERBASIS APLIKASI ANDROID
This study aims to determine the process and the development of mathematics learning media on three dimensional materials based on valid and practical, effective android applications. This research is a development of mathematics learning media on three dimensional material. The trial is limited to teachers and students intended to obtain a response, feedback on the learning media that has been developed. The results show that (1) The result of teacher response get the average score of 3.63 with very high category, (2) The result of the student response get the average score of 3.14 with high category, (3) classical reached 82.86%, (4) Results of students' motivation scores get 3.39 with high category. So based on the criteria, the learning media on the three dimensional materials based on android applications that have been developed declared valid, practical, and effective
MODEL PEMBELAJARAN COOPERATIVE INTEGRATED READING AND COMPOSITION (CIRC) DALAM MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MEMBACA MEMAHAMI BAHASA JERMAN SISWA
This study aims to obtain data and information about the effectiveness of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model in reading comprehension in German. The population of this study is students of class XI IPA with a total of 146 students. The research sample was chosen randomly, namely students of class XI IPA 1, amounting to 30 students as an experimental class and class XI science 2 students totaling 30 students as a control class. Data is analyzed using t-test analysis. The results of data analysis showed that th (2.72)> tt (2.002) at the significance level of 0.05. PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN MENYELESAIKAN SOAL CERITA MATEMATIKA MELALUI KELOMPOK BELAJAR BERDASAR SOSIOMETRI
This research is a classroom action research (classroom action research). This study uses instruments of observation sheets, cycle tests, and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed using qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques, namely: reducing data, presenting data, drawing conclusions and verification. The ability to solve students' math story problems in cycle I is an average of 66.56, students who complete learning are 21 students or around 65.63% and those who have not completed learning are 11 students or about 33.38%. Whereas in cycle II that is an average of 76.09, students who complete learning as many as 23 people or about 71.88% of people and those who have not completed 10 people or about 31.25%
PENGARUH KEPEMIMPINAN KEPALA SEKOLAH, IKLIM ORGANISASI DAN MOTIVASI KERJA TERHADAP KINERJA GURU SEKOLAH MENENGAH KEJURUAN SE-KABUPATEN HALMAHERA UTARA
The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of the principal's leadership, organizational climate and work motivation on teacher performance in Vocational Schools in North Halmahera Regency both partially and simultaneously. Data from the analysis in this study shows that the Principal Leadership is in the good category in the implementation task. Besides that, the organizational climate shows good creation of a safe, comfortable atmosphere and hangs up the fun learning process. While work motivation both internal and external encouragement reaches the desired expectations. Based on multiple regression tests partially shows that the leadership of the principal, organizational climate does not have a positive influence on teacher performance. While work motivation has a positive and partial effect on the performance and simultaneously leadership of the principal, organizational climate, work motivation of this variable together have a positive effect on teacher performance
PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN APRESIASI CERPEN SISWA MELALUI TEKNIK ANALISIS UNSUR-UNSUR INTRINSIK
The purpose of this study is to increase students' appreciation of literary works. One technique that can be used is the analysis of intrinsic elements. Based on the results of data analysis during cycles I, II, and III it can be concluded that the results of the study are as follows: (1) the number of students who have a short reading interest increases (60% - 70%), (2) the number of students who have the ability to identify elements intrinsic increases (40% - 64%), (3) the number of students who have the ability to analyze intrinsic elements increases (40% - 60%). The results of the study also showed that there was a change in teachers becoming more concerned about the classroom atmospher
COBOY (ECO BOARD PLAY): INOVASI MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN ALTERNATIF BERBASIS PENDIDIKAN LINGKUNGAN DENGAN METODE KASMARAN
This educational program was conducted in Kampung Bojong, Pamagersari Village with the target are children aged 5-14 years. The methods are socialization, education, action, and advocacy activities equipped with COBOY learning media. In cognitive aspect, the results have showed an increase understanding and positive changes towards mindset of participants in managing environment based on the four aspects of assessment from the lowest 36.7% to 83.3% which can be seen from the results of pretest and posttest. Affectively, there has been an increase in skills and positive attitude of participants in maintaining the environment especially managing the waste. As effort to expand the benefits has also been carried out the socialization of Training of Trainer (ToT) in SDN 01 Jasinga and has cooperated with Bureau of HUMAS Ministry of Forestry and Environment (KLHK) RI in disseminating environmental education to schools
