The Implementation of Gamification Method in Blended Learning
The study aims to describe the implementation of gamification method in blended learning which is carried out during one semester in the Educational Technology study program. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The research population consisted of 82 students of Education Technology class of 2021. Data was collected using the documentation method, and a questionnaire through Google Forms. The data were analyzed and interpreted in a descriptive qualitative manner by referring to the formulation of the problem set. The result showed the following; blended learning that applies the gamification method is considered more fun, facilitates learning and increases student engagement during the learning process. The learning stages that need to be done to apply the gamification method in learning are determining the characteristics of the learner, determining the learning objectives to be achieved, creating gamification-based learning content and activities, and adding game elements and mechanisms
Development of the Learning System of Flipped-Guided Inquiry-Based Learning (FGIL) Using Moodle on Chemical Equilibrium material
Abstract. The Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia has impacted the education sector, requiring learning activities to be shifted online. So that it becomes a new challenge for teachers and students to be able to carry out learning according to this situation and with the demands of the digitalization revolution 4.0. This study aimed to develop and determine the validity and practicality the Learning System of Flipped-Guided Inquiry-Based Learning (FGIL) using Moodle on chemical equilibrium material. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) with a Plomp development model. The subjects of this research are students of class XI SMAN 8 Padang, chemistry teachers, and lecturers in the chemistry department of FMIPA UNP. The research instruments used were validity sheets for validity testing and teacher and student response questionnaires for practicality tests. The average value obtained from 5 validators is 0.90 with a valid category. The average value obtained from the practicality test is 85%, with a very practical category. The results of the validity and practicality show that the learning system of Flipped-Guided Inquiry-Based Learning (FGIL) using Moodle on chemical equilibrium material developed is valid and practical
Psychometric Proporties Analysis of IST (Intelligenz Structur Test)
This study aims to examine the characteristics of the intelligence test on the Intelligentz Structure Test (IST) version 70. The study processes were carried out to examine the psychometric characteristics of each subtest on the IST, including: item difficulty index, item discrimination index, distractor effectiveness, tool reliability measuring, and construct validity. The data sources in this study are 1112 people with undergraduate educational backgrounds from several cities in Eastern Indonesia. The results of the analysis of psychometric characteristics show that in the SE subtest there are 11 items accepted, in the WA subtest there are 13 items accepted, the AN subtest shows that 17 items are acceptable, in the GE subtest shows that all the items contained in it are still eligible to be used. In the RA subtest, 18 items are eligible to be accepted, in the ZR subtest, all items are still suitable for use, in the FA subtest, which shows 18 items are acceptable. in the WU and ME subtests, it can be seen that all items contained in them are acceptable. The reliability of the IST construct shows the omega coefficient (ώ) is 0.845 and the construct validity shows that the nine subtests contained in the IST fit are based on three criteria of goodness, namely RMSEA, CFI, and TLI
The Implementation of Online Learning at The Faculty of Engineering, State University of Makassar in Response To Covid-19
Abstract. This study aims to analyze online learning activities during the Covid-19 pandemic at the Faculty of Engineering, State University of Makassar, including the supporting and inhibiting factors. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The population of this study were students who were attending online lectures during the Covid-19 pandemic at the Faculty of Engineering, UNM, with a sample of 400 students. Data collection was carried out online using a questionnaire via Google Form and interviews. The data were analyzed and interpreted in a descriptive qualitative manner by referring to the formulation of the problem set. The results showed the following; The quality of online learning activities at the Faculty of Engineering UNM during Covid-19 situation was effective. However, some lecturers and students felt the activities were less ideal compared to conventional face-to-face learning; The level of students' understanding of course material was quite good, with varying student learning outcomes. The evaluation of learning outcomes conducted by lecturers is quite varied, including giving independent assignments, structured assignments, formative and summative tests; During the Covid-19 response period at the Faculty of Engineering UNM, institutional support from both the Ministry of Education and the university was quite adequate in the form of providing free internet quotas. The obstacles faced by students and lecturers in online learning include the availability of internet quota, the network is sometimes unstable / bad connection because internet access is not the same in every place. Effectiveness of Using Textbooks Based on Metacoginitive Skills on Student’s Learning Outcomes
Metacognition skills are related to planning skills, prediction skills, monitoring skills, and evaluation skills. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using textbooks based on metacognition skills on learning outcomes. This research is a quasy-experimental research with The Nonequivalent Control Group Design. This research was conducted at SMAN 9 Makassar. The research samples were students of class XI IPA 2 as the experimental class and XI IPA 3 as the control class. Data collection techniques were carried out using tests in the form of pretest-posttest. The data analysis used is descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results of the study showed α < 0.05 (0.00 < 0.05) which means that there is a significant effect of the use of textbooks based on metacognition skills on learning outcomes. School Well Being (SWB) and Learning Motivation of Psychology Students in the State University of Makassar
Students of the Faculty of Psychology in the State University of Makassar during online learning perceived the learning activities not effective due to internet cost, burdening course work, colliding lecture schedule, and inadequate learning facilities. To complete the program, students need supports on the school's well - being improvement. School well - being has an important role in supporting students' learning development and motivation in receiving materials from the teachers. The study aimed to describe students' learning motivation and school well - being in the Faculty of Psychology, The State University of Makassar. The research subjects were 201 students of the Faculty of Psychology, The State University of Makassar. The research instrument was the learning motivation and school well - being scale. Data were analyzed descriptively. Findings show that: 1) internal learning motivation was stronger than external learning motivation; 2) highest scores given to the campus facilities/ condition aspects were from students' batches 2019 and 2017, while many of students batch 2018 criticized the point. In terms of Social relationships, students batch 2019 experienced strong interaction with their friends and lecturers, while students batch 2017 perceived it weaker, and students batch 2018 thought that they had very rare interaction. 3) Students feel that the school's well - being was inadequate, but their learning motivation is still in the medium category, and even the internal motivation was higher than the external on
Career Self-Management Scale (CEDLE scale) In The Indonesian Version of The Social Cognitive Model
Abstract. This study aimed to measure the adaptability of the Indonesian version of the Career Self-Management Scale (CEDLE Scale) and obtain a model fit from that scale. The CEDLE Scale was developed by Lent, et al in 2017. The process of adapting the CEDLE scale using the backward-translation technique method is translating the original scale into the Indonesian version, consulting with linguists, and translating back to the original language version. The population in this study were students in the province of South Sulawesi who registered in the 2021/2022 academic year. The sampling technique used stratified random sampling. The sample of this research is 320 students; 170 females and 150 males. This research instrument uses the CEDLE scale, which consists of 3 (three) indicators, namely Personal mastery (PM), Verbal persuasion (VP), and Vicarious learning (VL). The CEDLE scale consists of 12 items, and 8 items related to the emotions felt when conducting career exploration. The data analysis technique used a validity test concerning the corrected correlation item value and item reliability concerning Cronbach and McDonald's alpha values. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). The results showed that the adaptation of the CEDLE scale was in the Fit Index category with values of chi-square (90.263/51), RMSEA (0.053), GFI (0.950), CFI (0.963), GFI (0.952).
WhatsApp Application in Texts Agricultural for Students of Universitas Negeri Makassar: analysis litotes
Abstract. Abstract. This research has an impact on the field of language, especially scientific development in the structure of the figure of speech as part of semantics. The research problem is how is the basis of the structure of agricultural text-based litotes for students at the Faculty of Languages and Literature, Universitas Negeri Makassar. This research is different from the others because its main point is the base of the litotes structure with an emphasis on agricultural texts with whatsapp application. The content analysis method is used to reveal the data. The research sample was 120 students with data in the form of words and phrases in agricultural texts. The findings are that the root of the litotes structure in the form of nouns (11%), numerals (5%), adverbs (47%), adjectives (37%) have an unstable position in the text. Including noun phrases (20%), numerals phrases (10%), adjective phrases (70%) sometimes appear sequentially and especially the structure of adjective phrases occupies the smallest scope; the role as action (40%), experience (40%), luck (20%) in the text there is an imbalance
Personality Traits of High School Students in Makassar
Abstract. The sample in this study were 404 students, consisting of 116 boys (28.7%) and 288 girls (71.3%). The students involved in this study were aged between 15 and 18 years (M = 16.6; SD = 0.741), and the majority were from the Bugis ethnic group (76.5%). The selection of the sample in this study is related to the research objective, which is to focus on adolescents (high school students), so that the age range taken represents adolescence, using a multistage cluster random sampling technique. The measuring instrument used in this study is the Big-Five Inventory (BFI) which has been adapted by Ramdhani (2012). This scale consists of 44 statement items which are divided into five personality traits, namely extraversion (8 items), agreeableness (9 items), conscientiousness (9 items), neuroticism (8 items), and openness (10 items). Data analysis used in this research is descriptive and inferential analysis (Anova and crosstabulation). The results of this study indicate that there are 119 (29.5%) students showing a tendency of neuroticism, there are 64 (15.8%) students showing an openness tendency, there are 70 (17.3%) students showing a tendency to agreeableness, there are 69 (17.1%) %) students showed a tendency of extraversion, and there were 82 (20.3%) students showing a tendency of conscientiousness
Project Based Learning in Tourism Subjects to Increase Student’s Academic Motivation and Life Skills
Abstract This study aims to determine the effect of the project-based learning model that is integrated into tourism courses in increasing student academic motivation and life skills. This study used a quasi-experimental approach involving 1 experimental class and 1 control class. The intervention process was carried out for 6 meetings, where the duration of each meeting was 2 hours. The participants in this study were 41 students majoring in German Education which were divided into a control class (20 students) and an experimental class (21 people). Students' academic motivation was measured using a scale developed by Vallerand et al. (1992) consisting of 28 items that had been translated into Indonesian and tested by Natalya & Purwanto (2018). The learning outcome variable was developed by the researcher in the form of a multiple choice test consisting of 25 questions. This learning outcome test has been validated by 2 lecturers who are experts in learning evaluation. The life skill variable was measured using students' perceptions regarding the extent to which the influence of the Project Based learning model could improve their life skills. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. Research findings indicate that the integration of the Project Based learning model in learning tourism courses can increase students' academic motivation. Increased academic motivation directly has an impact on improving student learning outcomes. In addition, the Project Based learning model can have a positive influence on students' life skills
