    Abstract: Role-play strategy can be applied in the Indonesia language speaking skills learning Indonesia language at elementary schools. Contribution of the application is to actively involve students in speaking training with enjoyment condition. The role play gives chance students exploring their competency in verbal communication intensive training. Student strain speaking individually or collectively with concern language aspects used as communication instruments; character and social identity of role person; attitude and value in a dialogue; and improve self-confidence. The competencies developed in role-play strategy were cooperation, responsibility, tolerance, event’ interpretation, communication through speaking activities fluently and spontaneously. Abstrak: Strategi bermain peran dapat diterapkan pada pembelajaran keterampilan berbicara Bahasa Indonesia di Sekolah Dasar. Keuntungan penerapan strategi ini yakni pelibatan siswa secara aktif dalam latihan berbicara dengan suasana yang menyenangkan. Bermain peran memberi kesempatan siswa mengeksplorasi kemampuan dalam latihan berkomunikasi lisan secara intensif. Siswa berlatih berbicara secara perseorangan maupun berkelompok dengan memperhatikan aspek-aspek kebahasaan yang digunakan sebagai sarana komunikasi; karakter dan identitas sosial tokoh yang diperankannya; sikap dan tatanilai yang terkandung dalam dialog yang diucapkannya, serta ekspresi wajah dan gerak-gerik yang menyertainya. Selain itu, melalui tokoh yang diperankannya, sekaligus akan tumbuh rasa percaya diri. Kompetensi yang dikembangkan melalui strategi bermain peran antara lain, kompetensi bekerjasama, tanggung jawab, toleransi, menginterprestasikan suatu kejadian, dan berkomunikasi melalui aktivitas berbicara secara lancar dan spontan.

    Abstract: This research is developmental research using Four D Model and it is applied to 40 elementary school students at Samarinda. The research developed learning material, included learning planning, worksheet, achievement test for science materials. The learning instrument were collected three times. The collected data were analyzed with descriptive analysis. Results found that students achievement individually were increase and students achievement classically got 89% in the first research and got 80% in the second research.     Abstract: The purpose of this research was to describe increase inequity acces, improving quality and relevance of elementary school, improving governance and accountability of elementary school education in Kota Metro. This research based on qualitative programming and data collection implemented in various way such as field observation, documentation, and Focused Discussion Group (FGD). The result showed that equity in access, quality, relevance, governance and accountability of elementary school education in Kota Metro was not reach optimum level. Local Government recommended to having a cooperation with colleges in order to analyzing, mentoring, counseling, and evaluating an educational activity.   Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan peningkatan akses yang tidak merata, peningkatan kualitas dan relevansi, peningkatan tata kelola dan akuntabilitas pendidikan sekolah dasar di Kota Metro. Penelitian ini didasarkan pada pemrograman kualitatif, pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi lapangan, dokumentasi, dan Focused Discussion Group (FGD). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemerataan akses, kualitas, relevansi, tata kelola, dan akuntabilitas pendidikan sekolah dasar di Kota Metro belum mencapai tingkat  optimum. Pemerintah lokal direkomendasi  untuk memiliki kerja sama dengan perguruan tingi dalam usaha menganalisis, mentoring, konseling, dan evaluasi aktivitas kependidikan

    Abstract: The objective of this research was to examine the implementation of the policy of proffesional guidance system for elementary schools’ teachers through schools force. The population were schools’ beurocracy, eductional practitioners, managers of schools force, and builders of schools force. The subjects were selected through porpusive sampling techniques. The data collection instruments were questionnaire, focus discussion group, interview, documentation study, and observation. The research results were: (1) in general school cluster performances in developing professionalism of elementary teachers were in moderate (enough) category, (2) the professionalism level of teachers who involved in school cluster-based teacher professional development was in less or low category, (3) teacher competencies in teacher learning processes in general were only in moderate category, which have not reached ideal quality, (4) student achievements were in good enough level in line with the quality of teaching learning process that was in moderate category

    Abstract: The purpose of this classroom action research was to improve narration writing skills through constructionism approach in the fifth grade elementary schools' students. The classroom action conducted in three cycles. The subjects were fifth grade elementary schools' students of SD Laboratorium PGSD FIP UNJ. Data was collected using observation, and narration writing test. The analized data was qualitative data, enhanced with narration writing test evaluation, in the context of measuring effect of implemented action to narration writing skills. Result found that application of the constructionism approach with variety methods and relevant complimentary instruments improved narration writing skills of fifth grade elementary schools' students. Abstrak: Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis narasi melalui pendekatan konstruktivisme siswa kelas V SD. Tindakan kelas dilakukan sebanyak tiga siklus. Subjek penelitian siswa kelas V SD Laboratorium PGSD FIP UNJ. Pengumpulan data melalui observasi, tes menulis narasi. Data yang dianalisis adalah data kualitatif, yang diperkuat dengan penilaian tes menulis narasi, guna membuktikan seberapa jauh dampak dari tindakan yang telah diimplementasikan terhadap keterampilan menulis narasi siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan konstruktivisme dengan variasi metode dan alat bantu yang tepat dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis narasi siswa kelas V SD

    Abstract: The objective of this research was to determine the effects of quantum teaching method on the student’s writing ability by considering the learner’s cognitive style. The study was conducted at the PGSD Study Program of FIP Jakarta State University. The study employed the experimental method with 2 x 2 factorial designs. The sample of the study was one-hundred and four-semester IV students, selected from both study programs by employing the multi-stage random sampling technique. The data were analyzed by using a two way ANOVA. Further analysis carried out by employing the Tuckey test shows that the field dependent cognitive style students that were taught by using quantum teaching method gained higher learning results in writing than the learning results of the students who followed the expository teaching method. Furthermore, The writing ability of the students with field independent cognitive style  that were taught by the quantum teaching method was insignificantly different from that of the students that followed the expository teaching  method. Both teaching method and cognitive style affect students’ writing ability and that there is an interaction effect of the teaching methods and the student’s cognitive style on the students’ writing ability

    Abstract: Information of reading profile and readers’ interaction with text in learning activity can be useful in understanding the factors that influence in determining course text book readability. The purpose of this research is to describe elementary schools’ students reading profile and their interaction with national standarized  course text-books. This research was using descriptive-analytic method. The subjects were elementary school’s students and national standarized  course text-books which were sampled by purposive technique. The results found reading activities and intensities outside learning hour was very view. The quality of text book readability was depend on vocabulary comprehension, students’ intimacy, main point students’ comprehension, the chosen discourse, attraction of the book contents, and easiness of material structure

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) peningkatan pemerolehan konsep dalam pengunaan pendekatan keterampilan proses; (2) keterlibatan siswa terhadap pelaksanaan pembelajaran IPA dengan menerapkan keterampilan proses untuk pemerolehan konsep; (3) kendala guru terhadap pelaksanaan pembelajaran IPA dengan menggunakan pendekatan keterampilan proses untuk pemerolehan konsep. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan rancangan penelitian tindakan yang memiliki 4 komponen yaitu tersebut terdiri dari rencana, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Teknik yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis data kualitatif melalui tiga tahap, yaitu reduksi data, paparan data dan penyimpulan. Sumber data dalam penelitian adalah siswa kelas III Sekolah Dasar Laboratorium Universitas Negeri Malang tahun ajaran 2002/2003. Jumlah anak didik yang diambil sebagai subyek penelitian adalah satu kelas berjumlah 44 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan pendekatan keterampilan proses dapat meningkatkan pemerolehan konsep dan meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa

    Abstract: This survey research was conducted to elicit data of special education teachers understanding in the field related to application of behavior analysis principles. i.e. reinforcement and punishment. Subjects of the research were one class to Diklat Pendidikan dan Latihan Profesi Guru (PLPG) Tahap II (Education and training Teacher Profession) part II. Results of data analysis found teachers’ understanding and skills were low.Abstrak: Penelitian survey ini dilakukan untuk menjaring data yang berupa pemahaman guru-guru SDLB/SLB di lapangan berkenaan penerapan prinsip-prinsip analisis tingkah laku, yakni reinforcement dan punishment. Subjek penelitian diambil satu kelas Diklat Pendidikan dan Latihan Profesi Guru (PLPG) Tahap II Rombel 20 tahun 2010 Universitas Negeri Malang. Pengumpulan data menggunakan questionnaire dua pilihan, reinforcement atau punishment. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan pemahaman dan ketrampilan guru-guru masih minim.
