    Abstract: Based on preelimenary observation it can found early reading competencies of first class students of SDN Leminggir I were low. Based on the facts, researcher conducted improvement through Mueller method, i.e. using concrete things around children in the game activities context. The purpose of the research was to improve early reading competencies of first class students of I SDN Leminggir I. Results found there were improvement early reading competencies of first class students with mean 12,5%. Compared with school’s standard (85%), evaluation results of second cycle, mastery learning achievement 90%

    Abstract: The purpose of this classroom action research was to describe teaching media types, students’ creativity improvement, and teachers’ capability improvement in teaching illustration drawing. Location of the research was   State Elementary School 02 Malang city. The data was collected by participation observation and documentation  (design, media, process, and teaching achievement). The collected data was analysed by descriptive qualitative. Results found: improvement of teaching quality; students skills and creativity increased; teachers capabilities in planning, implementation, reflection technique in teaching with picture media also increased

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan rancangan deskriptif komparatif. Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik pengamatan, wawancara, dan studi dokumen. Analisis data menggunakan model induktif-interaktif dengan alur kerja reduksi data, paparan data, dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan mahasiswa Program D-II PGSD FIP UM, baik reguler maupun nonreguler, cenderung memiliki kebiasaan belajar cukup baik; dan itu berdampak positif pada peningkatan prestasi belajar

    Abstract: Efforts of improving quality of work life of elementary schools' teachers. A quality of education can be more determined by a quality of educator than amount of educational fund and completeness of facilities. Results of the research on 363 sample of state elementary teachers  and private elementary teachers in Jakarta showed that self confidency, commitment towards career as teachers, and competencies of class management given direct effect on quality of work life of  elementary schools'teachers. The efforts of improving quality of work life, specifically of  elementary schools' teachers can be conducted through a variety of activities, such as conducting an activity quality task force (eg. KKG, MGMP) continually so they can improve their  that self confidency, conducting enrichment of competencies through action research so they can improve their class management competencies, and improving their profesional competencies by following teachers profession education program. Efforts that is needed conducting by government is activating Institution of Educational Quality Assurance so teachers can be monitored dan evaluated programed dan responsible.   Abstrak: Kualitas pendidikan lebih ditentukan oleh kualitas pendidiknya dan bukan oleh besarnya dana pendidikan dan juga bukan oleh kelengkapan sarana. Hasil penelitian pada 363 sampel guru SD negeri dan swasta di Jakarta menunjukkan bahwa kepercayaan diri, komitmen terhadap karir sebagai guru, dan kemampuan mengelola kelas memberikan efek langsung terhadap kualitas kehidupan kerja guru SD. Usaha meningkatkan kualitas kehidupan kerja, khususnya guru SD, dapat dilakukan dengan berbagai kegiatan, antara lain melakukan aktivitas gugus kualitas (misalnya: KKG, MGMP) secara kontinu agar dapat meningkatkan kemampuan dan kepercayaan dirinya, melaksanakan pemerkayaan kompetensi melalui penelitian tindakan kelas sehingga kemampuan mengelola kelasnya dapat lebih baik, dan menambah kompetensi profesional dengan mengikuti program Pendidikan Profesi Guru. Usaha yang perlu dilakukan dari pihak pemerintah adalah mengaktifkan Lembaga Penjaminan Mutu Pendidikan (LPMP) agar melakukan monitoring dan evaluasi secara terprogram dan bertanggungjawab

    Abstract: The purpose of this classroom action research was to describe a process of scaffolding and students' performance development in finishing story problem. The subjects of the research were third grade SDN (state elementary school) Sutojayan Pakisaji Malang. Analysis of the research used qualitative descriptive. This type of analysis emphasized on aspects of meaning towards events than quantitative data. The results of the research revealed students' performance in each of the zone of proximal development (ZPD) could be developed constitently. The development can be seen as effects  of: (1) instruction which gives students exhibit their actual performance, (2) Precision of students' actual  performance  identification by teachers, (3) Precision of directive questions and meaning' negotiation towards students performance, and (4) direct positive and negative reinforcement.   Abstrak: penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses scaffolding bagi perkembangan performansi siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita. Subyek penelitian kelas III SDN Sutojayan Pakisaji Malang. Analisis data deskriptif kualitatif, lebih menekankan pada aspek makna suatu peristiwa daripada kuantitas data yang diperoleh. Hasil penelitian tentang strategi scaffolding menunjukkan performansi siswa pada setiap zone of proximal development (ZPD) dapat berkembang secara konsisten. Perkembangan itu diyakini sebagai akibat dari (1) pembelajaran yang menyediakan kesempatan siswa menunjukkan performansi aktualnya, (2) ketepatan pengidentifikasian performansi aktual siswa oleh guru, (3)ketepatan pertanyaan pengarah dan negosiasi makna atas performansi siswa, dan (4) pemberian penguatan positif mau pun negatif dengan segera.

    Abstract: This action research has an objective to describe process of implementing a task assigned method and improvement of social studies – geography with natural phenomena at SDN (state elementary school) Penanggungan Kota Malang. The data collection were using observation, interview, questionnaire, and test. The results of the research, up to third cycle, found that there were improvement of learning process implementation, students’ learning activities, and groups’ task reports. Through the task assigned method, studets will involve directly in identifying problems, finishing group tasks, discussing with other members, arranging and reporting group tasks outcomes
