    Abstract: Effectiveness of a guide reading teaching model with the directed reading thinking activities technique in elementary schools. The purpose of the research was to describe an effectiveness of a guide reading teaching model with the directed reading thinking activities technique (DRTA) in elementary schools which was tried in extended scale in Blitar city and regent.The data were a description of effectiveness of a sylaby and effectiveness of teaching implementation. The subjects were Indonesia language teachers in four grade elementary schools. The collected data were analysed by the following procedures: (1) check the data validity, (2) data identification and classification, and (3) data analysis conducted by counting procentage, and also determining results and discussion.The mean of effectiveness of an effectiveness of a guide reading teaching model with the directed reading thinking activities technique (DRTA) was 40 (90,90%) elementary schools categorised very effective.  It means teaching Indonesia Language can be imprved by implemention of an effectiveness of a guide reading teaching model with the directed reading thinking activities technique (DRTA).Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan keefektifan model pembelajaran guided reading dengan teknik Directed Reading Thinking Activities (DRTA) di SD yang diujicobakan dalam skala luas di Wilayah Kota dan Kabupaten Blitar. Data berupa deskripsi keefektifan silabus/RPP dan keefektifan pelaksanaan pembelajaran. Subjek penelitian  adalah guru bahasa Indonesia di kelas IV SD. Data dianalisis dengan rancangan deskriptif melalui prosedur: (1) pengecekan keabsahan data, (2) mengidetifikasikan dan pengklasifikasian data, dan (3) analisis data dilakukan dengan menghitung persentase, serta menentukan hasil dan pembahasannya. Berdasarkan analisis data diperoleh temuan penelitian keefektifan RPP/Silabus nilai rata-rata 60,50 (89,23%) kategori sangat efektif. Keefektifan pembelajaran model guided reading dengan teknik DRTA diperoleh nilai rata-rata 40 (90,90%) kategori sangat efektif. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SD dapat ditingkatkan melalui penerapan model guided reading dengan teknik DRTA

The results revealed that the quality of morality is family education which is accepted since childhood. Quality of morality knowledge must be introduced first to children in the family. As such, the family role is very important in giving quality of morality to children.     Abstract: Based on our observation to students and discussion with the principal and the science teacher of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Wahid Hasyim III (MIWH III) on June, 2, 2006, known that there were complicated problems in science class V. The core of those problems was the most of the student ability to think was still lower, therefore, in this research we want to try to solve the problems by classroom action research (CAR). Some studies shown that applying inquiry-based and reciprocal teaching methods have many advantages to solve the problems like at MIWH III Malang, therefore these methods was applied in this school. The research was conducted during 10 months, start at April until November 2007. This research design was Kemmis and of Taggart model, which consist of four phases. The result of this research showed that implementation of inquiry-based and reciprocal teaching methods improved the student ability to think and learning activities at science class V MIWH III Malang

    Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan aktivitas guru dan siswa, pengelolaan pembelajaran, keterampilan afektif siswa, respon siswa, dan keterampilan kognitif siswa. Metode penelitian mengacu pada model Kemmis dan Mc.Taggart dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw. Pelaksanaannya mencakup langkah penyusunan rencana, pelaksanaan tindakan,  observasi tindakan, dan refleksi atas tindakan yang dilaksanakan dengan dua siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan kognitif siswa. Nilai rata-rata pretes 30,5 dan nilai postes 70,5. Persentase aktivitas guru yang dominan adalah membimbing siswa membahas LKS selama diskusi kelompok asal 37,5%, aktivitas siswa yang dominan membahas LKS dalam kelompok asal (18,9%). Aktivitas guru dan siswa lainnya mencerminkan pelaksanaan model kooperatif tipe Jigsaw terlaksana dengan baik. Pengelolaan pembelajaran terlihat bahwa guru cukup baik dan terampil menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif. Begitu juga dengan respon siswa terhadap proses pembelajaran bahwa mereka merasa senang dengan diterapkannya model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw

    Abstrack: The main objective of this research is to investigate the change of students science attitude using constructivist approach on teaching science at elementary school. The research done by adopted Classroom Action Research (CAR) design on three cycles activities. The results showed that science attitude that consist of curiosity, persistence, open minded/ cooperation with other, and critical / creativity are increased significantly both the field independent and field dependent students. However, the change on specific aspect of students science attitude is different between field independent and field dependent. Field independent students increased significantly their science attitude on persistence and critical/creativity but not on open minded/ cooperation with other. On the other hand, field dependent students increased significantly their science attitude on open minded/ cooperation with other, but not on persistence and critical / creativity.Abstrak: Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk meneliti perubahan sikap siswa ilmu pengetahuan alam menggunakan pendekatan konstruktivistik pada mata pelajaran ilmu pengetahuan alam di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan 3 siklus.Hasil menunjukkan sikap terhadap ilmu alam yang terdiri dari  ketertarikan, konsisten, keterbukaan/kerja sama dengan orang lain, kritis/kreativitas  meningkat secara signifikan, baik pada siswa bebas lapangan maupun bergantung lapangan. Namun demikian, perubahan pada aspek spesifik sikap ilmu alam berbeda pada bebas lapangan maupun bergantung lapangan. Siswa bebas lapangan meningkat sikap ilmu alamnya pada konsisten dan kritis/ kreativitas tapi tidak pada keterbukaan/ kerja sama dengan yang lain.  Di lain pihak, siswa bergantung lapanganmeningkat sikap ilmu alamnya pada keterbukaan/ kerja sama dengan yang lain tapi tidak pada konsisten dan kritis/ kreativitas

    Abstract: The objective of this research is to produce a model of course materials of Rejang language as the Mulok in Elementary School. This research was carried out in Elementary School   Bengkulu Province. The method used in this research is  R and D  (research and development)  by Borg and Gall. In conducting the research, the model of Borg and Gall has been simplified by the writer from ten steps into three steps  based on the characteristics of the research. The three steps are: (1) the preparation   of constructing the model; (2) the development of the model; and (3) the evaluation of the model. Instruments used to collect the data  were questionnaire, interview, and test. The data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The finding of the research yields   the model of course materials Rejang language in Elementary School. This research concludes that the product of the development of material Rejang language is effective to be applied in Indonesia Elementary School, especially in Bengkulu Province.Abtrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan suatru model materi mata pelajaran Bahasa Rejang sebagai muatan lokal  di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini dilakukan di sekolah dasar Provinsi Bengkulu. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian R dan D (penelitian dan pengembangan) Borg dan Gall. Dalam melaksanakan penelitian ini model Borg dan Gall ini disederhanakan oleh peneliti dari sepuluh langkah menjadi tiga langkah berdasar pada karakteristik penelitian. Tiga langkah itu adalah:  (1) persiapan pengembangan model; (2) pengembangan model; dan (3) evaluation model. Instrumen untuk mengumpulkan data adalah kuesioner, wawancara, dan tes. Data dianalisis secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif.  Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa hasil pengembangan materi Bahasa Rejang efektif apabila diterapkan dalam sekolah dasar Indonesia, khususnya di Provinsi Bengkulu

    This research is intended to find out the forms of discourse, which are relevant to the develop¬ment of thinking abilities of the elementary school children of the third, fourth, fifth and sixth grades. For this purpose, experiment has been conducted in 8 (eight) elementary schools, covering 4 urban elemen¬tary schools and 4 city elementary schools. As a whole, there are 160 samples involved in this study. These samples are determined by making use of stratified random sampling technique. The data being collected in this first stage of research are in the forms of the ability in comprehending the content of reading text. These data were collected by means of test which were administered 48 times for every subject, within 24 weeks of experimentation. The data of the test were collected in the forms of interval data rates. For the purpose of completing the data, an interview as to the development of the children’s thinking ability in relation to the forms of discourse, in this case reading texts, was also carried out. The data were analyzed by using univariant statistical analysis and variant analysis. The result of the analysis shows that: (1) the forms of discourse (reading text) relevant to the development of thinking ability of the third grade of elementary school are narration; (2) the forms of discourse relevant to the fourth grade are narration and exposition; (3) for the fifth grade are exposition, description, and argumentation; (4) and for the sixth grade are a mixture of all forms of discourse or texts

    Abstract: This study aims to describe and explain education of  character intelligence of learner in speech acts among (governence) substance. The use of the among substance in the speech act in teaching is a natural phenomenon in the context of the classroom. In effort to explain the phenomena, the research used a naturalistic qualitative research with pragmatic design. Based on data analysis there were three groups research results, ie. ineducationg learners' character intelligence, aspects of intellectual, emotional, conational embodied in cipta (creating), rasa (sensing), karsa (initiating) speech acts.   Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan penanaman kecerdasan budi pekerti siswa dalam tindak tutur substansi among. Penggunaan tindak tutur substansi among dalam pembelajaran merupakan fenomena alamiah dalam konteks kelas. Untuk menjelaskan itu, digunakan penelitian kualitatif naturalistik dengan ancangan pragmatik.     Abstract: The purpose of this research and development was to product a draft of  elementary school mathematic teaching model. Steps of the research were preeliminary study; planning, realization, validation, and test. The test result found ROM model dan its intrumentations was efective for elementary schools. A product was a draft of  realistic outdoor mathematicsmodel (ROM) suplemented with instructional intrumentation, ie./ instructional program design, worksheet, and achievement test.Validation results found all products of development can be used for supporting teaching mathematic with PAKEM orientation. Abstrak: penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan menghasilkan draft model pembelajaran matematika di SD. Tahapan penelitian meliputi investigasi awal, perancangan, realisasi, danvalidasi serta uji coba. Hasil uji coba menunjukkan bahwa Model ROM dan perangkatnya terbukti efektif untuk diterapkan di SD. Produknya berupa draf model ralistic outdoor matematics (ROM), yang dilengkapi perangkat pembelajarannya, meliputi RPP, LKS, dan THB.  Hasil validasi prototipe menunjukkan semua produk pengembangan layak digunakan untuk menunjang pembelajaran matematika yang berorientasi PAKEM.
