    Abstract: This objective of this developmental research in the first year was to describe vision, practice, value internalization, and student’s character. The research also described problems of practices of value learning and character in the elementary schools. The subjects were Daarut-tauhied Bandung education and Malang. The results found that (1) vision of Daarut-tauhied Bandung was closeness to God; (2) educational practices balanced between thinking and  affective through contrustivistik learning method; (3) there were some positive value and  characters internalized in Daarut-tauhied Bandung students, such as pro-social behaviour and positive thinking; (4) value and character learning in the elementaru education tended in the low management. Elementary education can adopt some of value and character learning principles of Daarut-tauhied Bandung education based on the contextual condition

    Abstract:  Improving students' competency in arranging science practices' report through PAKEM approach at sixth grade students state elementary schools in Blitar city. The purpose of this classroom action research was to improve students' competency in arranging science practices' report.  The subjects were 46 students and 4 teachers at four state elementary schools in Blitar city. The collected data was through observation and interview technique. Research results found a PAKEM approach improvedthe science practices' report competency. The competency includes (1) a competency in responding order sentence in students' worksheet becomes a statements' sentence, (2) a competency in collecting and descripting data, and (3) a competency in drawing conclusions.   Abstrak: Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam menyusun laporan praktikum IPA. Subyek penelitian terdiri atas 46 siswa dan 4 guru di empat SDN di Kota Blitar. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui teknik observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pendekatan PAKEM dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa menyusun laporan praktikum IPA. Kemampuan tersebut meliputi (1) kemampuan merespons kalimat perintah dalam LKS menjadi kalimat pernyataan, (2) kemampuan mengumpulkan dan mendeskripsikan data, dan (3) kemampuan menarik kesimpulan

    Abstract: The basic problem of monitoring practices in elementary school is intention and socialization of good competition. This study tried to describe monitoring concepts based on quality process reformation and learning outcomes orientation. The research location is in the State Elementary School Kecamatan Lengkong, Bandung City. The data were collected by observation, in-depth interview, filling list, documentation study, and audio and tape recorder. The collected data were analyzed by members check, triangulation, and laboratory analysis. The result found that a principal stated 35 % to 40 % of the all times should be used for improving learning quality. The rest of the principal time can be allocated to leadership tasks. The result can be seen as a change of supervision function

    Abstract: PPKn is a course which emphasize on value and moral education. The effort to improving learning quality of PPKn learning it can be located on organizational strategy, management strategy, and delivering strategy. The purpose of this study is to improve PPKn learning quality in the SDS Pawyatan Daha, Kediri. The learning improvement includes empowerment of learning resource in delivering content of learning and factors influenced. The instruments of this research were participation observation, questionnaire, in depth interview, documentation, field notes, and recorded using a photo camera. The collected data were analyzed by Miles and Huberman model, i.e. data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results were: description of research location, strategy of empowerment of learning resource in delivering content of learning, and factors that is influence empowerment of learning resource in delivering content of learning. The recommendations of this research are: PPKn learning should apply learning strategy comprehensively, empowerment of learning resource comprehensively, and apply learning format using multimedia

The effort of local governments to help solving the problems proved to be unsuccessful. This article tries to identify the Elementary School problems and to find some strategies to cope with those problems. In conclusion, the role of Elementary School master is so important to have some smart strategies to develop their school environment and strengthen their team work. For this tough job, they should master the art of management, so that they will able to cope with solving those complicated problems in their each schools

    Abstract: The objective of this research and development (R & D) is to develop a management guide of reading corner, exhibition, parents' participation for improving quality of reading-writing in elementary schools. The characteristic of this research were procedural-conceptual. Procedure in achieving the purpose was conducted through steps: preliminary study, development study, and evaluation; conceptually, the results of the development study was examined through focus group discussion (FGD) and an expert validation. Results of preliminary step through literature study, field study, input from FGD, and also validation from media expert and Indonesia language expert, was management guide draft. The draft contents were: (1) introduction (background, purpose, assumption, contribution, and definition; (2) management of reading corner; (3) management of exhibition; (4) collaboration schools and parents; (5) evaluation instruments; and (6) conclusions. Abstrak: Research and Development (R & D) ini bertujuan mengembangkan pedoman pengelolaan sudut baca, pajangan, dan partisipasi orang tua siswa untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran membaca dan menulis di sekolah dasar. Sifatnya prosedural-konseptual. Secara prosedural pencapaian tujuan dilakukan melalui tahap studi pendahuluan, studi pengembangan, dan evaluasi; secara konseptual perkembangan hasilnya dikaji melalui focus group discussion (FGD) dan validasi ahli. Hasil penelitian tahap pendahuluan melalui studi literatur, studi lapangan, masukan dari FGD, serta validasi ahli media dan pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia, diperoleh model factual berupa draf pedoman. Isinya (1) pendahuluan, meliputi latar belakang, tujuan, asumsi, manfaat, dan pengertian; (2) pengelolaan sudut baca; (3) pengelolaan pajangan; (4) kemitraan sekolah dan orang tua siswa; (5) instrument penilaian; dan (6) penutup.

    Pembelajaran terpadu merupakan salah satu pendekatan yang dirancang untuk satu pelajaran atau melibatkan beberapa mata pelajaran dalam rangka memberikan pengalaman bermakna kepada anak. Model keterpaduan merupakan model pembelajaran terpadu yang menggunakan pendekatan antar bidang studi. Model ini dilaksanakan dengan cara menggabungkan bidang studi dengan cara menetapkan prioritas kurikuler dan menemukan keterampilan, konsep, dan sikap yang saling tumpang-tindih di dalam beberapa bidang studi. Dalam kurikulum 2004 dan KTSP dimungkinkan adanya pengembangan silabus tematis. Pengembangan silabus ini disusun berdasarkan jaringan hasil belajar atau jaringan indikator. Salah satu mata pelajaran di sekolah dasar adalah Pendidikan Agama Islam. Mata pelajaran ini dapat dipadukan dengan mata pelajaran lain di sekolah dasar, seperti Sain, Bahasa Indonesia, dan Kertakes. Dalam kurikulum Pendidikan Agama Islam terdapat tema-tema yang dapat dipadukan dengan mata pelajaran lain. Dengan demikian dapat dikatakan bahwa pendidikan agama dapat dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan pendekatan keterpaduan

    PERSEPSI GURU SD TENTANG BERBAGAI PENDEKATAN, METODE, DAN PENILAIAN SERTA IMPLEMENTASINYA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN IPA

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengetahuan guru tentang pendekatan dan metode dan penilaian proses dan hasil belajar IPA. Sampel penelitian adalah 35 guru kelas 5 atau sebanyak 44,87% dari 78 SD. Pengumpulan data dengan angket atau kuesioner terbuka. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah: (1) masih banyak guru SD yang belum memahami tentang berbagai pendekatan yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran IPA; (2) sudah banyak guru yang sudah memahami tentang berbagai metode yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran IPA; (3) kemampuan berpikir siswa kelas 5 SD rendah dan siswa malas berpikir; (4) sudah ada guru yang berusaha melakukan penilaian berpikir melalui pemberian tugas atau PR dalam bentuk soal subjektif; dan (5) masih banyak guru-guru yang belum mengerti dengan benar cara melakukan penilaian aspek afektif. Saran yang diberikan yaitu: (1) pihak Diknas lebih mengoptimalkan forum KKG dan (2) pihak Diknas lebih membuka peluang untuk berkolaborasi dengan pihak LPTK terdekat untuk melaksanakan PTK sebagai sarana meningkatkan kompetensi siswa, guru, dan semua pihak yang terkait
