Brand Equity In NGO: A Case Study Of Public Perceptions Towards GOPIO Malaysia
Branding helps to broaden reach, gain recognition, connect people and supports to advance the mission of an organisation. Although branding is important, many Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) are unable to focus on branding and to evaluate their brand, often due to limited expertise, facilities and financial capacity. This research paper studies the Brand Equity of NGOs by evaluating Public Perceptions towards NGOs in Malaysia. The research has engaged three variables from Aaker’s Brand Equity Theory namely Brand Awareness, Brand Loyalty and Brand Association. The research case study sample was GOPIO (Global Organisations of People of Indian Origin), a diaspora-networking organisation in Malaysia. The research conducted a quantitative survey on the Malaysian Indian Community, namely members, associates and friends of GOPIO in Malaysia. The research found that Brand Awareness, Brand Loyalty, Brand Association and Brand Trust are all positively related, and confirmed that Brand Loyalty and Brand Association have a strong relationship. The research also found the level of trust in GOPIO to be very high. The research concluded that Brand Awareness, Brand Loyalty and Brand Associations together, do not qualify as the best predictors for Brand Trust, while Brand Association emerged as the best predictor for Brand Trust. The research rejected Brand Awareness as a predictor for Brand Trust as most of the respondents were well aware of GOPIO. The findings of this research shall benefit organisations and researchers, particularly involving Brand Equity, NGO branding and Malaysian Indian NGOs
Sokongan sosial dan kesihatan mental dan pengaruhnya terhadap kerentanan penglibatan penagih dadah serta pelencongan sosial dalam kalangan remaja. Alternate Title: Social Support and Mental Health in Influencing the Vulnerability of Involvement in Drug Addiction and Social Deviance among Adolescents.
Adolescents currently face various challenges such as school dropout, deviant behaviour, communication and conflict with family and negative exposure to media social. Apart from that, adolescents are also influenced by family and school environment and relationship with peer groups during their developmental process. Negative environment and peer influence may cause adolescents to be involved in drug abuse and social deviance. Therefore, the objectives of this article are to: (1) identify the relationship between social support, general mental health, vulnerability of involvement in drug addiction and social deviance, (2) assess the roles of social support and general mental health as predictors towards vulnerability of involvement in drug addiction, and (3) assess the roles of social support and general mental health as predictors towards social deviance. This study employed a survey design by distributing questionnaires to 604 adolescents in areas identified by the National Anti-Drug Agency as having high drug statistics. The questionnaire comprised of items measuring social support, general mental health, vulnerability of involvement in drug addiction and social deviance. Results showed that there were negative and significant correlations between social support, general mental health, vulnerability of involvement in drug addiction and social deviance. Social support and general mental health were also found to significantly predict vulnerability of involvement in drug addiction. Findings of this study imply the importance of increasing the role of protective factors in combating the problem of drug abuse among adolescents. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR
A Systematic Review of the Influence of Teacher Self-Efficacy on the Use of Assistive Technology
Assistive technologies are essential in narrowing down the achievement gap
between students with learning disabilities and able peers. Higher levels of selfefficacy
in teachers have consistently shown to correlate with the use of
assistive technologies in teaching. This study aimed to review the impact of
self-efficacy among elementary and secondary school teachers with their use
of assistive technologies. This review intended to summarise the context of
self-efficacy in the domain of general inclusive education and explored the
instrument used, sample selection, validity and reliability as reported in the
selected studies. The electronic databases Education Source, ERIC
(Educational Resource Index and Abstracts), EBSCOhost by Elton B.
Stephens Company, and Scopus were systematically searched. This study
also reviewed published studies from January 2011 to January 2021 with the
inclusion criteria selecting studies that focused on self-efficacy and their use of
assistive technologies with special educational needs students in inclusive
education. Of the 17 reviewed published studies, teacher self-efficacy reported
a positive influence and can be used as a predictor for their use of assistive
technologies in teaching in inclusive education. Recommendations for future
studies include professional development on facilitating changes in teacher
self-efficacy to further enhance their use of assistive technologies. (aAbstract by author

Penyelesaian terhadap konflik ketidakseragaman undang-undang jenayah Syariah di Malaysia: Suatu analisis bagi kesalahan tatasusila
The jurisdiction of Syariah Court is very limited which causes the development of the
implementation of Syariah criminal laws since the colonial period until now to be very
slow. The conflict of legislation between civil law and Islamic law are remains until now.
In fact, shariah criminal law also faces a variety of problems due to the diversity of
policies and provisions of the law, shapes and the number of punishments set by the state's
government. Hence, the objectives of this study are to clarify the framework of shariah
criminal law in Malaysia regarding disciplinary offences, to analyse the conflict of its
inconsistency and to propose the solution methods towards the conflict of inconsistencies
of such laws. In summary, disciplinary offences are offences related to moral and sexual.
The provisions of laws relating to these offences can be found in the The State Syariah
Criminal Offences Act/ Enactment. The findings indicate that The Enforcement and
Prosecution Divisions needs to be improved so that the enforcement of syariah criminal
law can be empowered. Various parties should work hand-in-hand in order to standardise
the law of these disciplinary offences so that they can be enforced and implemented in a
more orderly manner. Moreover, the existing laws need to be amended from time to time
to ensure that they are in line with local current needs and fulfilling the Islamic law
requirements. Hence, the Act 355 needs to be amended in advance to enable The Stat
Performance Levels and Perspective of Graduate Learners’ on Fully Online Learning During Covid-19
Open University Malaysia (OUM) is a leading open and distance learning
institution in Malaysia that offers its programs in blended mode. The blended
mode of learning comprises self-managed learning, face-to-face tutorials, and
online forum. Through its learning platform, named ‘myINSPIRE’, OUM has
successfully offered some of its programmes fully online. The outbreak
COVID-19 in early 2020 has pushed OUM to offer all its programmes fully
online, including programmes for graduates. Measures were taken to improve
teaching and learning support online. Part of the efforts included having weekly
e-lessons and e-tutorials, as well as online exams. Learners have been
exposed to new learning experiences where they faced many challenges. This
study is conducted with the aim to investigate how these changes have affected
learners’ performance and their perspective towards fully online learning.
A total of 143 post graduate learners enrolled in OUM under the Cluster of
Applied Sciences participated in this study. The readiness for change model
used in the study is based on Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The model
applies perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use to measure user
acceptance of technology. The findings indicate that overall, the graduate
learners have an acceptable level of readiness for change and are able to adapt
and continue learning online despite facing some issues and challenges. It was
found that the performance of the learners pre- and post- lockdown seemed to
be comparable. Nevertheless, there is a need to find ways to improve and
better tailor the online learning environment for our adult learners so as to make
their fully online learning experience more rewarding

Transparency in the Financial and Administrative Control Authority in the Sultanate of Oman: Pillars and Dimensions
The study aims to identify transparency in the Financial and Administrative Control Authority in the Sultanate of Oman. The
problem of the study lies in the low status of Omani institutions in the Global Corruption Perceptions Index, which reflects the
spread of financial and administrative corruption in the Financial and Administrative Control Authority in the Sultanate of Oman.
The study highlights the importance of shedding light on transparency in the Financial and Administrative Control Authority in the
Sultanate of Oman. The study followed the descriptive analytical approach to describe and analyze transparency in the Financial
and Administrative Control Authority in the Sultanate of Oman. The study reached many results, including that the Financial and
Administrative Control Authority is trying to apply governance standards in accordance with the instructions issued in this regard.
The results showed that one of the most important dimensions of transparency is the possibility of separation of powers, the
practice of transparency in the areas of public life, and the enforcement of the law. The results also showed that the pillars of
transparency are clarity of work rules in institutions, the dimensions of suspicious personalities from financial and administrative
work, rationalization of consumption, and ensuring access to information by the Financial and Administrative Control Authority in
the Sultanate of Oman. The results concluded that the application of transparency greatly contributed to enhancing the freedom of
access to information, and the reports of the supervisory bodies on the situation inside the institutions were given a lot of attention
by the public, which indicates the importance of the prominent media role played by the supervisory institutions in order to
enhance the role of transparency. The study recommended the need to expand the application of transparency elements in the
Financial and Administrative Control Authority in the Sultanate of Oman. The study also recommended that the practice of
transparency contributes to the spread of more freedoms in society, but it is of the opinion that the application of transparency
should not be limited to the public employee in institutions only without looking at the higher leaders, as these leaders may be one
of the causes of financial and administrative corruption. The study also recommended that the supervisory authorities have many
foundations and standards in the matter of punishment and accountability without prejudice to the rights of the employee, as well
as researching the reasons for his fraud and obtaining illegal funds from the institution in which he works. (Abstract by authors
