learning environments have reached maturity as evidenced by the fact that most institutions of higher learning are either using them or considering making them one of
the leading modes of teaching and learning. Learners today are becoming open minded due to the technology that provides communication channels with different
features and functionality. This study aims to observe the level of interaction between
the facilitator-student and student-student in the Reflective Online Learning Environment (ROLE) and the progress of the learner's reflection and the facilitator’s feedback. Based on a case study and literature review, this study seeks to determine the
components of Experiential Learning Theory to be visualized into the learning
process to create an effective instructional strategy for effective lesson design. The
study reveals that the reflective activity plays a vital role in the transformation of

of nanoparticles are considered; copper Cu, alumina Al2
O3
and titania TiO2
with water as the base fluid. The governing
equations are simplified using similarity transformations. The resulting coupled nonlinear differential equations are solved
by the Homotopy Analysis Method (HAM). The analytical series solutions are presented and the numerical results obtained
are tabulated. In particular, it shows that the heat transfer rate decreases when nanoparticles volume fraction increases

Get PDFResearchers and practitioners often pay less attention to service recovery
research compared to service quality or customer satisfaction, particularly in
the context of Open and Distance Learning. Moreover, the antecedents and
outcomes of service recovery satisfaction are frequently given less emphasis
by Open and Distance Learning institutions in their efforts to gain advantages
in the current higher education business environment. Service organisations
such as Open and Distance Learning institutions are often focused on
delivering services with the approach of getting it right the first time. Service
failure is inevitable and when service delivery fails at some point, the whole
process will be disrupted and the students will be dissatisfied and
disappointed. This is where service recovery satisfaction through justice
dimensions plays its role. This study explores the relationship between justice
dimensions (Distributive, Procedural, Interpersonal and Informational Justice)
and Service Recovery Satisfaction, in addition to examining the moderating
effects of University Image. In order to regain lost customer support, service
providers must overcome the negative impact of poorly performed service.
Previous studies have attempted to identify the impact of service recovery
satisfaction by analysing the variation in post-recovery customer outcomes.
The present study explores four customer outcomes: Repurchase Intention,

Challenges and Achievements of Senior Citizen Pursuing Open and Distance Learning
Get PDFIn the era of technology and borderless world, open and distance learning has
become a choice for many adults who wish to pursue tertiary education. In
responding to this development, many higher education institutions, including
Open University Malaysia, have designed various academic programmes to
meet the needs of adult learners. Senior citizens naturally experience a
decline in their physical, cognitive, motor and memory abilities. Despite having
to face such challenges, many senior citizens have enrolled at the Open
University Malaysia. The objective of this study is to examine their academic
performance, analyse it by gender, age and zone of learning centres; and
identify the issues and challenges they faced. Senior citizens who graduated
from two schools, the Faculty of Applied Social Sciences (now known as
Cluster of Education and Social Sciences) and OUM Business School (now
known as Cluster of Business and Management), were included in this study.
Secondary data was used to analyse learners’ academic performance while
interviews were conducted to identify the challenges they faced. The findings
indicated that they had faced difficulties in relation to their health and
information technology skills but still performed well. (Abstract by authors
