Model Pengorganisasian Sistem Informasi Instalasi Gigi Mulut sebagai Sub Sistem Informasi Rumah Sakit
The focus of this dissertation is about obligation organization processes data at organization, department, and end user level in administration, billing, clinical and non clinical patients management when Indonesian Police Hospital Raden Said Sukanto developing dental instalation information system as part of hospital information system to produce a model. This research use qualitative with case study methodology. As a conclution of this study suggest that Model can be use by hospital to collect organization processes data that can be use to plan or guide dental instalation information system development with better performance and more user satisfaction
KEBOCORAN TEPI RESTORASI SEMEN IONOMER KACA DENGAN BAHAN FUJI® II, FUJI®VII (WHITE) DAN FUJI® VII (PINK)
Glass Ionomer Cement (GIC) is restoration material commonly used in dental practice.One of GIC strengths is its low level of microleakage. GIC is applied on the cavity with low mastication weight like Fuji® II, Fuji® VII (white), Fuji® VII ( pink). The aim of this study was to observe the microleakage level of cervical restoratin edge with Fuji® II, Fuji® VII ( white), and Fuji® VII ( pink).Each group contained of 6 samples of GIC filling of cervical third buccal surface , immersed in methylene blue solution, cut across linguo-buccal and subsequently observed on its edge microleakage using binoculer microscope indicated with the depth of methylene blue penetration.The result showed that edge microleakage from the lowest up to the highest were Fuji® VII pink, Fuji® VII white and Fuji® II. Anova statistical analysis showed no significant differences among the three groups

Hydroxyapatite, as a popular bone substitute material, can be synthesized from nature. Recently, ceramic materials like hydroxyapatite have received much attention from both researchers and surgeons because of their biocompatibility, good mechanical properties and easy handling. Moreover, many have shown bio-absorbable properties compatible with those of various surgical applications permitting the complete bone regeneration and avoiding further interventions to remove the device. UJI KEMANFAATAN KLINIS LIDOKAIN 2%+ ADRENALIN 1:80.000 ANTARA GENERIK DIBANDINGKAN BRENDED
Lidocain is widely used in dentistry especially in treatment as local anaesthetic is commonly used as a 2 % solution containing 1:80.000 adrenalin. Lidocain has two types of generic name and brand names (e.g. elokain, extracaine, ikacain, Xylestesin, pehacaine, and lidonest, etc). Government’s rules (Permenkes No 085/Menkes/Per/I/1989 and Permenkes No HK.02.02/Menkes/068/I/2010) must use Generic drugs in public health services, but professional dentists commonly use lidocain branded. Aim of study is to compare the efficacy of Lidocain adrenalin generic vs.Lidocain adrenalin branded in clinical use. Material and Methods: A total of 60 students of dentistry Faculty Jember Unversity was divided into two groups, consisting of 30 patients Generic lidocain and 30 branded lidocain. They were locally injected as block anaesthesia. The onset of the drugs was determined by sensation paraesthesia of the lower lip. The duration of the drugs was determined from onset until sensation of paraesthesia disappeared. Result: Mean of onset Generic lidocain adrenalin was 174 seconds, and that of branded lidocain adrenalin was 220 seconds. Mean of duration Generic lidocain adrenalin was 137,61 minutes, while that of branded lidocain adrenalin was 130 minutes. Conclusion : There was no difference in the efficacy between Generic lidocain adrenalin and branded lidocain adrenalin (p > 0,05)

Cyclooxygenase-2 is part of the cyclooxygenase enzyme that plays a role in the inflammatory process has produce of prostaglandins (PG) such as PGE2. Prostaglandin E2 plays an important role in the pathogenesis of periodontal disease because it leads to increased vascular permeability, vasodilatory, edema. This review intends to give an overview the role of COX-2Â in oral diseases likely periodontitis to be better understood and the future of our research that may facilitate the development of diagnosis and therapies. Cyclooxygenase is enzyme that plays of catalyze biosynthesis of prostaglandins and contained in two forms of COX-1 and COX-2. Cyclooxygenase-2 activity has increased in inflammation especially wound formation and periodontitis. In periodontitis, invasion of lipopolysacharide can Increase COX-2 activity in smooth blood muscle that can lead atherosclerosis. COX-2 inhibition can lead healing process that characterized fibroblast formation.it is concluded that the presence COX-2 in gingival tissue and gingival crevicular fluid can be used as biomarkers about the severity of periodontal disease, healing process and risk of atherosclerosis

Nowadays HIV/AIDS infection was increase to children in the world. In development countries include Indonesia, it was caused fourth killer to children. Oral manifestation to the children who has infected HIV have a different been compared with adult. Discussion.Candidiasis and necrotizing ulcerative gingivitis is oral lesion who was found in the children. Linear gingival erythema leukoplakia, caries and kaposis sarcoma can be an indicator of moderate and hard immunosupression. Parotis swollen, herpes simplex virus infection and recurrent aphtous stomatitis not special connected with immunosupression grade. The best of management patients was consider immunology status andexamined oral continuity. Conclusion. Oral manifestation in the childen very important to known because it was often first indication clinical so that someone had been infected of HIV
ALGINATE IMPRESSION VS ALGINATE IMPRESSION PLUS CASSAVA STARCH: ANALISIS GAMBARAN MIKROSKOPIK
Backgrounds. Alginate impression material is a material to make impression of teeth and oral cavity. Theresult will be reproduced by gypsum type III. Alginate impression material can modify with cassava starch with ratio 1:1.The major composition is algin or alginat acid and cassava starch composition are amylose 25 % andamylopectine 75 %. Material and methods. Alginate impression type normal setting, cassava starch, aquadestilata,light microscope and polarization microscope. Result. Microscopic structure alginate impression with light microscope showed that birefringence structure less than birefringence structure alginate impression with cassaca starch. When the structure is changed, the crystallite of cassava starch will be changed. Conclusions. The added cassava starch to alginate impression microscopically will not form a new chemical compound, will not change the molecule structure of alginate impression, without any chemical reaction between alginate impression with cassava starch and only produce the physical bond

Gene therapy is a method to repair damaged or defective genes that responsible for the onset of certain diseases. Now, numerous prototypes of DNA can control the progress of the disease through induction or inhibition of genes, but the bad cellular uptake and the rapid in vivo degradation of DNA-based therapy require the use of delivery system that can facilitate the cellular internalization and keep its activity. Cationic polymers are commonly used as gene carrier because it is easy to form complexes and it has higher stability compared with lipoplexes. Cationic polymer chitosan is the most widely used in gene delivery system because of the low toxicity andbiocompatible. Gene delivery system using viruses shows high transfection result but it has many disadvantages, such as oncogenic effects and immunogenicity. However, cationic polymers, such as chitosan have the potential for complexation of DNA that can be used as a non-viral vector for gene therapy. Chitosan provides a strongelectrostatic interaction with negative charge of DNA to form nanoparticles and effectively protect from nuclease degradation. Those properties make chitosan become a good candidate from non viral gene delivery
