    Exploring the Influence of Self-Control, Subjective Well-Being, Happiness, and Life Satisfaction on Prosocial Behavior among Muslim Students in Indonesia

    Prosocial behavior voluntary actions intended to benefit others plays a vital role in adolescents’ social skills, emotional well being, and constructive interpersonal relationships. Adolescents with high prosociality tend to exhibit lower negative emotions and stronger social development. However, limited research has examined this phenomenon among Muslim university students. Guided by Domain Theory, this study investigates the influence of self-control, subjective well-being, happiness, and life satisfaction on prosocial behavior in Indonesian Muslim students. A cross-sectional design with convenience sampling recruited 300 Muslim university students (84 males, 28%; 216 females, 72%) aged 17–24 years (M = 19, SD = 1.23). Participants completed the Prosocial Tendencies Measure (PTM), Brief Self-Control Scale (BSCS), BBC Subjective Well-being Scale (BBC SWB), Orientation to Happiness Scale (OTH), and Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS), all adapted to the Indonesian context with acceptable reliability. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. Results showed that subjective well-being (β = -0.169, p = 0.031) and happiness (β = 0.498, p = 0.000) significantly influenced prosocial behavior. Self-control (β = 0.058, p = 0.333) and life satisfaction (β = 0.119, p = 0.081) showed no significant effect. Indonesian Muslim students who reported higher levels of subjective well-being and happiness were more likely to engage in prosocial behavior.     Mathematical model for detecting diabetes in blood cells with the influence of cortisol

    Diabetes is a disease that occurs when the body is unable to produce enough insulin or cannot use insulin effectively, causing an increase in blood glucose. One of the factors that affect the stability of glucose and insulin is the hormone cortisol, which is produced when the body experiences stress. The purpose of this study is to develop a mathematical model of diabetes detection in blood cells by considering the influence of cortisol. The model is formulated as a system of linear differential equations and analyzed through equilibrium points and eigenvalue analysis. The results show that two eigenvalues form asymptotically stable spirals, while the other two are asymptotically stable nodes, indicating system stability. The novelty of this study lies in the inclusion of cortisol, which delays stabilization of glucose–insulin dynamics and provides a more realistic representation of physiological conditions under stress. A limitation of this study is that the model relies on simplifying assumptions without clinical validation. This research is expected to serve as a foundation for further model development by considering other regulatory factors, with implications for improving diabetes prevention and intervention strategies in stress-related conditions

    Integrating Computational Thinking and Spirituality in Developing Students’ Critical Thinking: A Comparative Study of Indonesia and Malaysia

    Global educational challenges demand the development of critical thinking through approaches that integrate cognitive and ethical dimensions. This study examines how computational thinking and spirituality contribute to the development of students’ critical thinking skills in Indonesia and Malaysia. Using a quantitative design, data were collected from university students in both countries and analyzed through Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The analysis reveals that computational thinking plays a more influential role in shaping students’ critical thinking in Malaysia, reflecting the strong emphasis on analytical and digital reasoning in instructional practices. In contrast, spirituality makes a stronger contribution in the Indonesian context, underscoring the importance of moral and spiritual values in supporting reflective and ethical reasoning. These differences highlight the role of cultural and pedagogical contexts in shaping cognitive development. Ultimately, the study demonstrates that integrating computational thinking and spirituality provides a holistic framework for strengthening students’ critical thinking, offering relevant implications for curriculum design and educational policy in higher education

    Readiness Of Students' Intelligence Quotient In Learning Nahwu Material

    This research aims to determine the level of student Intelligence Quotient in the Nahwu learning process at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. The approach used in this research is a quantitative approach that measures students' Intelligence Quotient level regarding their mastery of Nahwu material. The data in this research are the results of tests on students' Intelligence Quotient in Nahwu learning. The data sources are students from the Arabic Language Education Study Program and students from the Humanities Study Program. Data collection techniques is questionnaires. The results of this research show that the intelligence quotient level of students in the Nahwu learning process at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim is good, with an average of 75.31, where students can absorb Nahwu material well and develop according to optimal potential. The percentage is 7% have superior intelligence, 13% have high intelligence (standard), 53% have average intelligence (normal), 17% have low intelligence (standard), and 10% have below average intelligence. Thus, the intelligence possessed by the majority of students is relatively standard and tends to be able to follow the Nahwu learning process

    Implementing the PEEC Technique through Classroom Action Research: A Strategy to Mitigate Adad–Ma‘dūd Errors in Beginner-Level Arabic Writing

    Mastering writing skills is a fundamental yet challenging aspect of beginner- level Arabic language acquisition, particularly in applying complex grammatical constructs such as adad–ma‘dūd (numeral-noun agreement). Conventional teacher-centered correction methods often fail to facilitate the deep processing required for rule internalization. This classroom action research (CAR) proposes the PEEC (Peer Editing and Error Correction) technique, a novel collaborative strategy integrating peer discussion with immediate corrective feedback to address this pedagogical gap. Conducted over two cycles with 36 first-year students in an intensive Arabic program at a state Islamic university in Malang, the study employed observation, writing tests, and document analysis of student drafts. Results demonstrated significant improvement in writing accuracy. The number of students achieving the mastery criterion rose from 12 (33.33%; average score: 61) in the pre-cycle, to 23 (63.89%; average: 73) in cycle I, and to 32 (88.89%; average: 84) in cycle II. This represents a 55.56% increase in completion rate and a 23-point average score gain, with marked enhancement in adad–ma‘dūd application. The findings confirm PEEC as an effective intervention for developing beginner Arabic writing proficiency, warranting further exploration in diverse instructional contexts

    Emotional labor of early childhood educators: Relationships with students and parents

    This study examines the emotional labor of early childhood educators and its relationship with interactions involving children and parents, with a focus on emotional regulation and demographic influences. This study aimed to investigate the impact of emotional regulation strategies and demographic variables on educators’ emotional well-being during professional interactions. A quantitative approach was adopted, with data collected through structured questionnaires. The analysis concentrated on emotion suppression and surface acting in relation to well-being. Results indicated that teachers experienced considerable emotional burden, with emotion suppression being more prevalent than surface acting, particularly in interactions with parents. Fifty-three percent of educators reported a high emotional burden in parent-related suppression, compared to 38% in interactions with children. Additionally, 38% reported high suppression in self-regulation, while 29% experienced no burden from surface acting. Emotion suppression in parent interactions had the most significant impact on well-being (standardized coefficient = 0.4044, p < .001), followed by education level (coefficient = 0.1646, p < .001). Factors such as generation, teaching experience, salary, and certification were not statistically significant. The model explained 18.7% of the variance in emotional well-being. These findings align with existing literature that highlights the emotional burden of teaching and the psychological toll of unaddressed regulation challenges. Therefore, culturally and contextually appropriate suppression-management training, together with enhanced institutional support, is essential to reduce the emotional burden on Indonesian early childhood educators

    The influence of green banking, credit risk, and operational efficiency on the financial performance of conventional banks in 2020-2023

    This research endeavor is directed toward assessing the impact of Green Banking, Credit Risk, and Operational Efficiency on the Financial Performance of conventional banks in Indonesia in 2020-2023. Green banking was evaluated through the Green Banking Disclosure Index (GBDI), credit risk was represented by the Non-Performing Loan (NPL) ratio, the BOPO ratio indicated operational efficiency, and financial performance was assessed using Return on Assets (ROA). This research adopts a quantitative methodology utilizing pre-existing datasets derived from the annual financial statements of banks listed in collaboration with the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (OJK). The analysis employed panel data regression models executed via EViews software. Empirical findings reveal that green banking exerts a marginally significant influence on financial performance, whereas credit risk does not demonstrate a statistically meaningful relationship. Conversely, operational efficiency exhibits a significant inverse association with financial performance. The independent variables account for 73% of the heterogeneity observed in financial performance, as represented by the recalibrated coefficient of determination. These outcomes underscore the critical role of enhancing cost-efficiency strategies and advancing environmental banking initiatives to foster long-term financial sustainability within the banking sector
