    FLIPPED CLASSROOM: ALTERNATIVE OF THE MODEL OF LEARNING TO IMPROVE STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES IN K-10

    This study aimed to determine the effect of applying the flipped classroom model to students’ learning outcomes in oxidation-reduction reactions. It was conducted in SMAN 47 Jakarta. Research method is quasi-experimental with nonequivalent control group design. The sample consisted of 72 students were taken with purposive sampling. Independent variables are the flipped classroom model and direct instructional. Chemistry learning outcome became a dependent variable. The flipped classroom model is invers of the traditional learning model. Students learn the instructional material at home through videos and discussions in class. Analysis of the requirement’s test showed that the data were normally distributed and had homogeneous variances. Hypothesis testing showed different results in a significant level of 0.05. The differences of average value between pretest and posttest of the experimental group is 12.50. While the differences in the control group was 7.17. It can be concluded that the difference of average value between pretest and posttest of the experimental group is higher than the control group. The flipped classroom model can improve students’ learning outcomes in the oxidation-reduction reaction

    Pesantren is one of a model of Islamic education in Indonesia to continue to exist until now, thus remain interesting to study. Pesantren future must be able to compete with other educational institutions to restructure management in line with the development and needs of the times. This article peeling pattern implementation of school based management (SBM) in PondokPesantren La TansaLebakBanten.With the case study method that takes the focus of School-Based Management (SBM), researchers found that, (1) the curriculum management that integrated curriculum between the Curriculum Department of Education and Curriculum Pesantren; (2) the management of educators, (3) the student management is divided into two channels, namely 'teaching path' and 'parenting path' (4) the financial management is managed by LKMS La TansaMandiri, (5) the management of facilities and infrastructure, (6) the school and community relationship management, (7) the management of special services include; libraries, laboratories, health, dormitories, boarding schools and business units, and (8) the management of monitoring and evaluation is forming the a special team in which includes principals, teachers council, and the teaching section. All the management mentioned above is managed through the implementation of School-Based Management (SBM).     DEVELOPMENT MODEL OF ADMINISTRATOR COMPETENCE STANDARD OF OIL PALM PLANTATION

    Indonesian oil palm plantation is progressing very rapidly, even it becomes business perspectives in the future. It has high competitiveness in the world market, unfortunately it is not supported by competent human resources in the field of administration. This occurs because of no mapping in the standard of administrators competence of oil palm plantations up to this time. Research and development of this model aims to produce a standard product competence administrators of oil palm plantations. The result of this research can be used to determine the position of human resources to meet the requirements of a competent workforce in objective, valid and reliable way . At conceptual development and empirical testing stages performed a series of feasibility studies, they are ; expert review of experts, the position holders review, linguists review and field trials. The analytical method used are a qualitative and quantitative.The result of the research competence of administrators obtained seven dimensions: accounting, finance, payroll, plant, purchasing, warehousing, and personnel. The highest reliability coefficient test result is on the financial dimension, and the lowest is on the dimensions of the plant

    PRINCIPALS’ PERFORMANCE IN SOUTH SUMATERA PROVINCE, INDONESIA

    The objective of this research is to study the extent of correlation between self-concept, empathy, and emotional intelligence with the principals‟ performance. The research relied on survey method by using correlation technique. The population is the principals of the public Senior High Schools in the South Sumatera Province. The result shows:1) there is a positive correlation between self-concept and the principals‟ performance by correlation coefficient ry1= 0,451 and the equation of simple linier regression = 8,188 + 0,970X1; 2) there is a positive correlation between empathy and the principal‟s performance by correlation coefficient ry2 = 0,685 accounted variance r2 y1 = 0.469 and the equation of simple linier regression = 36, 352 + 0.695x2.; 3) there is positive correlation between emotional intelligence and the principals‟ performance by correlation coefficient ry3 = 0,685 accounted variance r2 y3 = 0,469 and the equation of simple linier regression = 30,752 + 0,775x3. ; 4) there is a positive correlation between there predicator variables and the principals‟ performance by correlation coefficient ry.123 = 0,748 accounted variance r2 y.123 = 0,560 and the equation of simple linier regression = 33, 172 + 0,003X1 + 0,297X2+ 0,441X3. All the testing were at = 0.001 level of significance

    TRANSLATION OF ENGLISH TASKS INTO INDONESIAN THROUGH ONLINE MACHINE TRANSLATION PROGRAM

    The objective of this research is to obtain a deep understanding about the online machine translation of graduate students in the Language Education Doctoral Program of State University of Jakarta, Indonesia, from source language to target language in order to achieve equivalence in the subject of Language Translation and Education. The approach used is qualitative approach with ethnography method. The translation process is conducted by writing down words or copying-pasting sentences to be translated and then those words/sentences will be automatically translated by machine translation. A repetitive edit, revision and correction process shall be first performed in order to get an optimum result i.e. translated sentences are equal in textual and meanings. The deviations occur due to inaccurate equivalents caused by different cultures between the source language and target language as well as the scope of translated language scientific field. The used strategy is a literal translation. Based on the research results, the translation of English tasks to Indonesian through the online translation program is very useful to facilitate the students’ lecturing process in completing their tasks

    The objective of this research is to study the effect of leadership styles, managerial skills and work discipline on the job performance of principals of public senior high schools in Jakarta Province. This research used the survey method. The samples of this research were 89 persons selected randomly. The data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics and path analysis in inferential statistics. The results of the research concluded that: leadership styles, managerial skills and work discipline had a direct effect on the job performance of principals of senior high schools; leadership styles and managerial skills had a direct effect on principals’ work discipline in public senior high schools, and leadership styles had a direct effect on work discipline of principals of public senior high schools. Therefore, to improve principals’ job performance, leadership styles, managerial skills and work discipline should be improved.     LEARNING ENVIRONMENT, SELF-EFFICACY, AND ATTITUDE IMPACT VOCATIONAL STUDENTS’ ENTREPRENEURIAL INTENTION?

    This research aims to examine the impact of learning environment, self-efficacy, and an entrepreneurial attitude towards entrepreneurial intention of Vocational High School students in DKI Jakarta. This study applied survey method with causal approach. Sampling techniques is random cluster sampling stages whose result in sample of 310 respondents. Research data was collected by questionnaires and then analyzed with path analysis. Research results empirically show that: a) Students entrepreneurial intentions is affected directly and positively by the learning environment, self-efficacy, and an entrepreneurial attitude, b) the learning environment and self-efficacy are directly and positively impact on the entrepreneurial attitude, and c) the learning environment is directly and positively impact on self-efficacy. The results of the study conclude that with conducive learning environment, high self-efficacy and more positive entrepreneurial attitude will increase the entrepreneurial intention of Vocational High School students

The purpose of this research is to get information about a woman‟s human resources potential; local natural resources potential which is able to be developed in creative industry; the need of guidance module; and the need of guidance program. The benefits of this research are: increasing the skill and expertise of women in forming and managing a creative industry base on locality; increasing a self-confidence to participate in creative industry base on locality, and increasing a gender equality and justice in participate on family.This research is using Research and Development method.     ANALYSIS OF THE ROLE OF TEACHERS AND HEADMASTER IN IMPLEMENTING CURRICULUM 2013

    The study was to describe the role of teachers and headmaster in implementing curriculum 2013. The study was a qualitative approach. Research instrument is the researchers our self. Data collecting technique were used deep-interview, participation observation, and documentation. Reseach subjects are headmaster, vice headmaster, teacher, siswa, and school committee members with snowball. Key informan is principal. Research objects are: persons, concept, place, and activities. Verification of data was done by credibility, transferability, dependability, and comfirmability criteria. The research findings that: 1) The roles of teachers in curriculum implementation are as translator, counselor, evaluator, leader; facilitator, drafter, actor, participant, and motivator; 2) headmaster has role as planning, implementation, and evaluation; 3) the head of the madrasah has a larger role than the teachers, because the headmaster as one who give influence in the implementation of the curriculum at the school, while the teachers practice in the classroom.
