Get PDFThe research aimed to analyze financial feasibility and development prospect of nutmeg farming in Lampung Province. This research was conducted in Gisting Subdistrict of Tanggamus Regency in which data was collected in September 2017 until October 2017 by survey method. This research used primary and secondary data. Primary data was used to answer financial feasibility analyze purpose and obtained by interview technique using questionnaires. Secondary data in the past seven to night years was used to answer the purpose of prospect development of nutmeg farming. The samples size of this research was 30 nutmeg farmers using simple random sampling. The data was analyzed by financial feasibility and time series linier with ARIMA model. The results of the study showed that the nutmeg farming was feasible, and development prospect of nutmeg farming based on production and nutmeg seeds export had a good potential for the future. PARTISIPASI PETANI DALAM PROGRAM BIOINDUSTRI BERBASIS INTEGRASI PADI DAN SAPI DI DESA PONCOKRESNO KECAMATAN NEGERI KATON KABUPATEN PESAWARAN
Get PDFThe purposes of this research are to analyze implementation of bioindustrial program, the level of farmer’s participation,and factors associated with participation.Research was conducted in August-September 2017. All 44 farmer members of four farmer groups carying out the Bioindustry program are respondents. Data were analyzed descriptively using Rank Spearman correlation test. Results showed that the program is implemented well and structured. The implementation phase consists of: village potential surveys, formation of farmer groups, and socialization and training activities. The four farmer groups conduct different activities, namely: makinh biogas by Tunas Harapan farmer group, making biourine by Harapan Jaya farmer group, and making compost by Mulia Jaya and Mekar Berseri farmer groups. The products of Bioindustry program are exhibited among farmer groups. The participation rate of farmers in the program is classified as high. Get PDFThis study aims to analyze the flow pattern of supply chain of jackfruits, supply chain performance, supply chain efficiency, and calculate the added value products of Jackfruits chip in Panda Alami Agroindustry. This study is conducted purposely in Panda Alami Agroindustry in Gedong Tataan Sub-district of Pesawaran District. The data is collected in Februari 2017, performance measurements are made by comparing measurement indicators with FoodSCOR Card indicators. Efficiency calculations are performed using a software deap 2.1, the calculation of value added is done by Hayami added value method. The result showed that the flow pattern starting from the farmers as the main raw material supplier. The performance of the supplier of Panda Alami Agroindustry was good, based on compared value of FoodSCOR card. Efficiency measurements indicated that only 37.5 percent of supply chain actors were already efficient for DMU farmers’ category, and 100 percent efficient for retail and agroindustry category. ANALISIS KELAYAKAN FINANSIAL DAN RISIKO USAHA BUDIDAYA JAMUR TIRAM DI PROVINSI LAMPUNG
Get PDFThis research aims to analyze the financial feasibility and the risk of oyster mushroom cultivation which is conducted in Lampung Province, especially in Metro and Bandar Lampung City. The locations of the research are chosen purposively by considerating that both places were the largest harvesting areas and the highest oyster mushroom production. The data is collected in month of May 2017, in which respondents are taken by census method with the amount of seven cultivators. They are divided into three categories based on their techniques they use, i.e., the cultivators producing the planting media to be cultivated and partly to be sold, the cultivators producing the planting media to be cultivated only, and the cultivators purchasing the planting media to be cultivated. Furthermore, the financial and risk analyses are analyzed by the quantitative analysis. The result showed that the oyster mushroom cultivation on the three categories were profitable and feasible to be developed based on the value of investment criterias (Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Net Present Value (NPV), Payback Period (PP), Gross Benefit Cost Ratio (Gross B/C Ratio) and Net Benefit Cost Ratio (Net B/C Ratio)). The risk analysis showed that CV (Coefficient of Variation) value was ≤ 0,5 and value of lower limit (L)was ≥ 0; hence the cultivators were able to avoid the risk.Key words : cultivator, feasibility, financial, oyster mushroom, ris
PARTISIPASI PETANI PADA LUMBUNG PANGAN DALAM MENINGKATKAN KETERSEDIAAN PANGAN RUMAH TANGGA DI KECAMATAN AMBARAWA, KABUPATEN PRINGSEWU
Get PDFThis research aims to analyze the rate of household food availability, the rate of farmers’ participation, factors related to farmers’ participation rate, and the impact of the participation on the food availability. The research is a survey conducted in Ambarawa Subdistrict, Pringsewu District, as Ambarawa is an area that has many active food barns. Thirty food barn institutions were chosen randomly, and from each barn two farmers were chosen randomly as respondents. Research data is collected in September – November 2016 and analyzed by quantitative descriptive analysis method. The results showed that the rate of household food availability was 3,392.97 kkal/cap/day or equivalent to 2,135.58 kg of dried unhulled rice annually. The rate of farmers’ participation was included in a medium category. Age, membership time in barns, rice production, income, membership in farmer groups were not significantly related to farmers’ participation rate. Get PDFThis research aims to analyze the internal and external environment, arrange development strategies, and determine priority strategies of Microfinance Institutions Farmer Groups Sari Makmur Cooperative. This research isperforms a case study method. Respondents were 13 people consist of organizers and members of the cooperative, expert, and regulator. Data analysis method used in this research was qualitative analysis method. The results showed that the main internal strengths of the cooperative were its legal status and registered status at the financial services authority. The main weakness was the lack of awareness of members in the cooperative. Externally, cooperative faced major opportunity in the form of the need for easy and fast loan services and the main threat of increasing community living costs. The priority strategies that could be used in the development and sustainability of the cooperative microfinance were using accounting software for financial data processing to improve cooperative’s financial management, improving the quality of cooperative’s organizer and managers by providing internal training and engaging in external training conducted by the government or other institutions, and improving the excellent service to meet the needs of cooperative’s members.Key words: cooperative, microfinance, strategie

Get PDFThis research aims to analyze the income of red chili farming in Kalianda Sub-District of South Lampung Regency. This research is conducted by using census method, involving 30 farmer respondents. Data were collected in October – November 2016. The objective is analyzed descriptively and quantitatively using R/C ratio. The results showed that the income of red chili farming is Rp91,519,527.08/ha and the value of R/C on total cost is 2.95.Key words: farming, income, red chil
