Get PDFThis research aims to analyze the mechanism of food granary in supporting household food availability, performance of food granary institution, and factors that affect the performance of the food granary in Ambarawa Subdistrict Pringsewu Regency. The location was determined purposively with consideration that Ambarawa Subdistrict is one district which has a lot of active food granary institutions. Data were collected in September 2016. The samples were determined proportionately randomly, as many as 30 active food granaries in Ambarawa village, Ambarawa Barat village, and Sumber Agung village. This research used a survey method, and the data were analyzed using qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the mechanism of food granary was realized by saving and borrowing of unhusk rice. The members of food granary can borrow as much as 100 – 1,000 kilograms of rice per year. They borrow rice at the time of scarcity before harvest time, and save rice after harvest time. The results showed that the performance of 46.67 percent of food granaries are categorized in a low level and 53.33 percent in medium level. Factors that affect the performance of food granary in Ambarawa Subdistrict, Pringsewu Regency, are the age of food granary, the number of members, and the kind of food granary. Get PDFThe purposes of this study are to analyze level of Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs)’s performance in Technical Implementation and factors related to the level of the performance in working area of Jati Agung Subdistrict of Lampung Selatan District,. This research was conducted in Jati Agung Subdistrict of Lampung Selatan District in September-October 2017. Respondents were 76 randomly selected rice farmers in the area. Data analysis uses descriptive analysis and Rank Spearman correlation test. The results indicated that the level of performance of AEWs in Technical Implementation is included ina medium category. Reward system is significantly related to the level of AEWs’ performance, while motivation level, income level, education level, number of farmers, and distance of residency are not significantly related to the level of AEWs’ performance in Technical Implementation Unit Jati Agung Subdistrict.Key words: AEW, performance, Technical implementation uni
ANALISIS PENDAPATAN DAN TINGKAT KESEJAHTERAAN RUMAH TANGGA PETANI LADA DI KECAMATAN TANJUNG RAJA, KABUPATEN LAMPUNG UTARA
Get PDFThis research aims to analyze the household income and the prosperity grade of pepper farmers’ household in Tanjung Raja District of North Lampung Regency. This research was conducted in Tanjung Raja Village and Sinar Jaya Village of Tanjung Raja District, North Lampung Regency in January - February 2018 using a survey method. The samples were 62 pepper farmers taken by using simple random sampling. This research uses descriptive quantitative method to determine the income and the expenditure. Factors influencing the prosperity were analyzed by using binary logit in which the influential factors were found by looking at the significant values in Z-Statistics. The results showed that the household income of pepper farmers in the research area was categorized as high because the household income has reached for about two million five hundred thousand until three million five hundred thousand rupiah per month. The most contributed income was derived from pepper farming activities and the rest was contributed from non-pepper farming, off-farming, and non-farming activities. Based on BPS criteria, pepper farmer households at Tanjung Raja District were categorized as prosperous as many as 85.48 percent and were not prosperous as many as 14.52 percent. Based on the regression analysis using binary logit, there were two factors influencing the prosperity grade of pepper farmers, i.e household income and the number of jobs.Key words: household income, pepper farming, prosperity grade
PROFITABILITAS DAN NILAI TAMBAH AGROINDUSTRI OLAHAN IKAN LELE DI KECAMATAN METRO SELATAN KOTA METRO
Get PDFThis study aims to analyze profitability and added value of catfish processing products. This research is case studies on La Tansa, Oseri and Osta Food Agroindustry for the reason of that catfish processing products are one of the regional superior products in Metro City. The study was conducted in February-March 2018 in which data was analyzed by quantitative analysis. The results showed that profitability ratios obtained by La Tansa Agroindustry was 48.27% in abalone catfish products and 23.58% in catfish bone crackers products. Whereas the profitability ratios of Agroindustry Oseri amounted to 51.14% in abalone catfish products and 34.62% in catfish bone crackers products. The revenue from the total cost per month in La Tansa Agroindustry was Rp2,174,546.67 on abalone catfish products and Rp518,161.67 in catfish bone crackers products. Whereas, Agroindustry Oseri Rp5,617,646.62 on abalone catfish products and Rp2,188,286.71 on catfish bone crackers products. PENDAPATAN DAN RISIKO BUDIDAYA UDANG VANAME DI KECAMATAN RAWAJITU TIMUR KABUPATEN TULANG BAWANG
Get PDFThis study aims to analyze income, risk and the relationship between income risk and vaname shrimp cultivation income. This research was conducted in East Rawajitu Sub-district which was chosen purposively in February-March 2018. There were 52 shrimp farmers, consisting of 27 farmers at Bumi Dipasena Utama Village and 25 farmers at Bumi Dipasena Agung Village. The data was analyzed by descriptive quantitative method using income analysis, R/C ratio, CV and Pearson product moment correlation. The results showed that vaname shrimp cultivation in East Rawajitu subdistrict was profitable with R/C values >1. The risk of vaname shrimp cultivation income in East Rawajitu subdistrict was high and there was a positive relationship between income risks with vaname shrimp cultivation income. The research wasbegan on 29 November until 29 December 2018 at Mandiri woman farmer group. The research method is a survey with complete enumeration as many as 30 respondents. Data were collected usings questionnaires, depth-interview, observation, documentation, and records. Data were analyzed qualitatively. The research results showed thatmembers of Mandiri woman farmer group in household economy earned average income of Rp1,968,810.00 from participating in the Woman Farmer Group and side bussiness. Thetime spent on productive sector was 6 hours 2 minutes (23.4%) and on reproductive sector was 11 hours 2 minutes (44.3%). On daily basis, women spend their time more on reproductive sector than productive. ANALISIS NILAI TAMBAH DAN KEUNTUNGAN AGROINDUSTRI EMPING MELINJO DI DESA BERNUNG KECAMATAN GEDONG TATAAN KABUPATEN PESAWARAN
Get PDFThis study aims to analyze added value and profits of melinjo chips agroindustry in Bernung Village. This research was conducted in five melinjo chips agroindustries in Bernung Village, Gedong Tataan Subdistrict, Pesawaran Regency. Data collection was conducted in January 2019. The data were analyzed using qualitative sis and quantitative descriptive analyses. The calculation of added value used Hayami added value method. There are two types of added value of melinjo chips such as uncooked melinjo chips and cooked melinjo chips. The results showed that added value is a positive value, meaning that both kinds of chips agroindustries are feasible to be developed. The value added of uncooked melinjo chips is higher than that of cooked chips. The R/C over total cost is 1.20, meaning that the emping melinjo agroindustry in Bernung Village, Gedong Tataan Subdistrict, Pesawaran Regency is a profitable and viable business since R/C value is more than one.Key words: added value, melinjo chips, profi
