Trends in life insurance demand and lapse literature
No full textThe article analyzes the interconnectedness and gaps between twointerrelated streams of literature, evolving in different time periods, by employingbibliometric tools. The research on the factors of life insurance demand started inthe late 1960s and early 1970s, while more intensive works on the drivers of lapsesin life insurance appeared during the 2000s. We map the research fields using ourown criteria to create clusters and visualize the flow of knowledge within andbetween the clusters employing citation network analysis (CNA). We contribute byproviding the most comprehensive systematic review that integrates both fields,additionally encapsulating studies on the demand for policy loans. The articledetects the most important drivers of life insurance policyholder behavior duringhis/her lifetime and opens new horizons for future research

Monetary incentives in Italian public administration: a stimulus for employees? An agent-based approach
No full textThe paper, focusing on the context of Public Administration (PA), addresses the effects of monetary incentives in employees' performance. In the Italian PA, the monetary incentives are distributed according to the D.L.150/09 (i.e., the monetary incentives are divided among the employees according to the employees' performance) which is based on the rank order tournament. The paper investigates if this mechanism has positive and sustainable impacts on the employees' performance in the short, middle, and long term. The employees' performance has been modeled as a function of ability and motivation. The results of the computational experiments show a positive impact of the monetary incentives, distributed according to merit criteria, on the employees' performance in the short, middle, and long term

No full textIl compenso dell'amministratore è un argomento oggetto negli anni di numerose controversie e dibattiti sia nell'ambito dottrinale che in quello giurisprudenziale. Ai sensi dell'art. 2364, comma 1, n. 3. c.c. quando non stabilito dallo statuto, spetta all'assemblea ordinaria determinare il compenso degli amministratori, tuttavia il diritto al compenso è un diritto disponibile e l'amministratore può svolgere la propria opera anche gratuitamente. Il presente contributo si propone di analizzare le problematiche inerenti il compenso dell'amministratore soffermandosi sulle più importanti sentenze della Corte di cassazione in materia
