No full textPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan terkait pengelolaaan perpustaan pada Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Malakaji, berdasarkan (Standar Nasional Perpustakaan). Penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan metode pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan perpustakaan pada MAN Malakaji, belum mampu menjadikan perpustakaan sebagai sumber ilmu bagi pengguna layanan. Sarana dan prasarana perpustakaan, koleksi perpustakaan, tenaga perpustakaan dan layanan perpustakaan sebagai indikator dalam pengelolaan perpustakaan pada MAN 1 Malakaji belum dapat terpenuhi sehingga pengelolaannya belum maksimal. Namun disisi lain peran stakeholder dalam pengelolaan dan pengembangan perpustakaan di MAN 1 Malakaji memiliki andil yang besar baik pemerintah, sekolah dan masyarakat.
Library in Hand and The Social Review as Adaptive Representation of Library Development Idea
No full textThe development of technology and information brings a number of indispensable consequences, and it requires a wiser adaptation to apply them in the library to avoid the entailed negative impacts. This article discusses the idea of applying information technology of library in hand for library services. It is based on observations of the benchmarking activities in several countries and review on various literatures. Presentation and analysis are conducted descriptively, with the conclusion that the library should be about to adaptively follow the development of IT by considering the contextual social effects. In this context, the application of library in hand includes SMS gateway, Interactive Learning, Independent Learning, Online Reservation, and Online Library Information Retrieval. Meanwhile, the social effects that arise from this application are seen from three dimensions namely the structural, cultural and interactional ones

No full textNowadays, the role of libraries is not only as a place to collect the rare references that can not be found in some bookstores, but rather serves as a vehicle for development and exploration potential of the human being, through the collection of reference in line with the development of contemporary, these ideals were impossible to realize if the enthusiasm of visitors to the library was minimal. The provision of library services is a major task of librarians in providing the sources of reference which can be utilized the users maximally. The adopted strategy is not enough just to complete the various collections of books or a variety of facilities and infrastructure to support the sustainability of the library. The important thing that must be concerned is creativity and the role of librarians in attracting public interest to continue to love reading. It is needed through the strategy and optimize the performance of the librarian. Thus the performance of librarians in managing and serving the visitors of the library must be improved from various aspects

The approach qualitative research conducted with the type of case studies and research subjects SD Muhammadiyah Sapen and SDIT Lukman Al-Hakim. Informants involved is the librarian at the sites.The results of this study indicate that the library accreditation results are influenced by librarians competency managerial competencies; Information management competence, educational competence, personal competence; social competence, and competence of professional development.This study will describe: the role of librarians in the successful accreditation of the school library. Penggunaan Media Sosial Oleh Perpustakaan
No full textInformation and communication technology has affected people’s daily behavior, including library users. Users of the library using information technology for various purposes, entertainment, access information, and to socialize. Socialization through online media has become one of the needs of the user community. Library users want to connect to friends, relatives, and others through social media. Libraries are aware of this, so as to connect with users, libraries are also using social media, one of which is Facebook. This study aims to determine the frequency of use of Facebook by the library and how the use of Facebook by the library. Researcher examines three faculty libraries in Gadjah Mada University Yogyakarta, namely Facebook Library Faculty of Geography, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences Library, and the Library of the Faculty of Agriculture. The data collection techniques use documentation on the library’s Facebook page under investigation. The data collected documentation on the Facebook page of the library was analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis. The study results show that ISIPOL Library is a library that has the most frequent use of Facebook ie daily. The library is using social media Facebook to promote the library collections, promote events or library services, upload photos/images of activities that have been carried out of the library, develop services circulation, inform the internal activities of the library, to promote the activities of other libraries, informing various things important for users, and greets users. Each library in use of Facebook shows the activity and intensity are different.Teknologi informasi dan komunikasi telah mempengaruhi perilaku keseharian masyarakat, termasuk pengguna perpustakaan. Pengguna perpustakaan menggunakan teknologi informasi untuk berbagai tujuan, hiburan, akses informasi, dan bersosialisasi. Sosialisasi melalui media online telah menjadi salah satu kebutuhan pengguna masyarakat. Pengguna perpustakaan ingin selalu terkoneksi dengan teman, saudara, dan lain-lain melalui media sosial. Perpustakaan menyadari hal ini, sehingga untuk terkoneksi dengan penggunanya, perpustakaan juga menggunakan media sosial, salah satunya adalah Facebook. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui frekuensi penggunaan Facebook oleh perpustakaan dan bagaimana penggunaan Facebook oleh perpustakaan. Peneliti mengkaji tiga perpustakaan fakultas di lingkungan Universitas Gadjah Mada Yogyakarta, yakni Perpustakaan Fakultas Geografi, Perpustakaan Fakultas ISIPOL, dan Perpustakaan Fakultas Pertanian. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan dokumentasi pada laman Facebook perpustakaan yang diteliti. Hasil pengumpulan data dokumentasi pada laman Facebook perpustakaan dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa Perpustakaan ISIPOL merupakan perpustakaan yang memiliki frekuensi penggunaan Facebook paling sering, yakni setiap hari. Perpustakaan menggunakan Facebook untuk mempromosikan koleksi perpustakaan, mempromosikan kegiatan atau layanan perpustakaan, mengunggah foto/gambar kegiatan yang telah dilakukan perpustakaan, mengembangkan jasa layanan sirkulasi, menginformasikan kegiatan internal perpustakaan, mempromosikan kegiatan dari perpustakaan lain, menginformasikan berbagai hal yang penting bagi pengguna, dan menyapa penggunanya. Karena itu perpustakaan perguruan tinggi harus mampu berfungsi sebagai prime mover peningkatan kompetensi literasi mahasiswa.Literasi informasi berhubungan erat dengan tugas pokok pelayanan perpustakaan. Peningkatan kompetensi literasi informasi merupakan upaya pemberdayaan mahasiswa di bidang informasi, di antaranya melalui pendidikan pengguna.Dampak lain dari perkembangan teknologi informasi adalah meningkatnya permintaan informasi digital. Pencari informasi tidak lagi puas hanya dengan materi cetak. The standard is the benchmark measure of quality. Managing the college library-based accreditation means applying the concept of accreditation in the management of the library. There are nine components that need to be referenced accreditation based library management services, collaboration, collection, organizing library materials, human resources, building / space and infrastructure, budget, library management and collections care. Qualified library is that which meets the quality standards set by the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia in terms of collection, building, service, library personnel, and management. No full textThe research aims to comprehend the knowledge and utilization of electronic journal (Proquest, Science Direct, EBSCOhost, dan Cab Direct) subscribed by library of Institut Pertanian Bogor that have been performed by students as reference source in thesis writing, and obstacles faced while looking for the information. The research applies descriptive research with quantitative approach. Based on the data acquired: (1) The students’ knowledge toward electronic journal subscribed is adequately high. 87,9% students realize existence of electronic journal service, 81,8% reference resource uses electronic media, and 49,5% utilizes electronic journal; (2) The electronic journal utilization level is 86,2% which utilizes electronic journal. Electronic journal utilization level as reference material is relatively high, because from 86,2% students which utilize electronic journal, 40% utilizes it 2-3 times in a month. 34,7% utilizes electronic journal with duration less than 2 hours, with downloading electronic journal collection searched, 34,7% uses 2 articles as reference material for thesis; (3) Obstacles in utilizing electronic journal are 52% caused by electronic journal collection mostly using English, and searched collection are not available. Although there are some difficulties, they keep utilize the electronic journal
