Prospek Pengembangan Usaha Budidaya Kerang Hijau (Perna viridis) Di Pulau Pasaran, Bandar Lampung
Pasaran Island located in the Western District of Teluk Betung within 5 km from the center of Bandar Lampung. This island was known as a central anchovy in Lampung. Several attempts have been made to optimize the production of fishery there, especially anchovies, in the form of technical assistance policy to business operations. However, the potential Pasaran Island is very diverse and not limited to the anchovy, one of which is the potential for the cultivation of green mussel (Perna viridis). Mussels in Pasaran Island was cultivating in 3 years ago. This study uses a combination of aquaculture site surveys, water quality data collection, interviews and laboratory analysis of heavy metal content. With adequate environmental carrying capacity, ease of cultivation technology, the proximity of the location of the city of Bandar Lampung, food safety aspects as well as support for the various parties expected the green mussel farming can be a new icon other than Pasaran anchovy so as to improve social welfare in Pasaran Island
Suplementasi Minyak Ikan Untuk Peningkatan Imunitas Non Spesifik Udang Vaname (Litopenaeus vannamei)
Increased immunity shrimp became one of the targets of feeding with a complete nutrient constituent composition. Shrimp have a different immune system compared to fish in general and can be increased quickly by providing the right nutrients. Research nutrient supplementation to increase non-specific immunity, especially in Pacific white shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) still rarely done, especially with the addition of fish oil. This research was conducted to study the effect of fish oil supplementation in different oil among lemuru oil and patin oil with a non-specific parameter of Pacific white shrimp among total haemocyte count (THC), the differential haemocyte count (DHC), challenge test with Vibrio harveyi and relative percent survival (RPS). Design of experiments using a completely random design with three treatments and four replications. The treatment is adding the lemuru oil (treatment A), patin oil (treatent B) and without the addition of fish oil (control). The results showed that the addition of lemuru fish and patin fish oil treatment can increase THC, DHC, which affect the phagocytic activity relative to the level of protection without giving fish oil (P<0.05). The increasing of non-specific immunity of Pacific white shrimp with fish oil needs to analyze in the economic side to be more economical if applied to the shrimp farmers or commercial feed mills
Akumulasi Logam Cu, Cd dan Pb Pada Meiofauna Intertitial Dan Epifit Di Ekosistem Lamun Monotipic (Enhalus Acoroides)
Enhalus acoroides is water plant intertidal that might be interaction between ecosystem eachother so it have ability to adsorb heavy metal that came from sea water and sediment that can accumulated in roots, leaf and bar ponder. Variation methods used to know distribution of meiofauna as intertitial fauna or epiphytic fauna on seagrass. The concentration of heavy metal of water, sediment and meiofana will be analyzed. The purpose of this research to determined correlation between concentration in seagrass, sediment, water and organism which associated whitin. The result of this research shown that concentration of heavy metal Cu, Cd and Pb have a significant correlation between water, sediment, part of seagrass and meiofauna. The value of R2 shown that correlation between water and sediment have bigest value, otherwise the R2 value of heavy metal shown that Pb is the biggest than Cd and Cu. Concentration heavy metal in seagrass shown that Cu>Cd>Pb and the same condition is also due in meiofauna. Its mean that the heavy metal is bioavailble for accumulation by meiofauna. Meifauna and segrass can be a good bioindicator for environmenta change especially heavy metal
Pengaruh Perbedaan Media Dan Periode Transportasi Terhadap Pertumbuhan Bibit Rumput Laut (Kappaphycus alvarezii)
Brown seaweed (Kappaphycus alvarezii) is one of the important aquaculture commodities in Indonesia. Tissue culture seaweed seed has higher quality than the natural ones, but tissue culture seaweed seed still imported from a specific area. Media and transportation period effect the seed freshness. The study was conducted to determine the effective of transportation medium and the optimal of transportation period. The study was conducted in the Ketapang’s marine, South Lampung. The study using experimental methods with completely randomized factorial design with two treatments and three replication for each treatment. The first treatment is the difference transport media (banana stem and sponge), and the second treatment is the difference transport period (24, 48, and 72 hours). The parameters observed were transport temperature, the seed freshness, seaweed growth weight, and water quality factor (pH, dissolved oxygen, salinity, temperature, water clarity, and flow velocity). The results showed that the seaweed was transported by the media banana stem had seed freshness and weight growth higher quality than the sponge media, and the transportation period affected the seed freshness and the seaweed growth weight
Pengaruh Padat Tebar Terhadap Pertumbuhan Dan Kualitas Udang Windu (Penaeus monodon) Pada Sistem Nurseri
The low productivity during extensive culture of tiger shrimp (Penaeus monodon) may caused by disability to environmental adaptation of shrimp during cultured period. Nursery system build up to minimize this constrains and enhances shrimp growth, quality and variation in natural pond system. Nursery system is cultured method to take care shrimp during post larvae to juvenile size within 14 days. The objective of this research is to measure the growth and the quality of post larvae shrimp during nursery system at different density which is 750; 1250; 1750 and 2250 shrimps/m2, respectively. The observation of juvenile quality was done to observe the digestive tract, weight variation, necrosis and parasite fouling. In the other side, growth observation was observed by the total length and the body weight. The result showedgrowth and quality of shrimp significantly differentwithin different density. In contrast survival rate of shrimp in differeny density not significantly different. The density of 750 shrimp/m2during nursery system in extensive shrimp culture showed optimum in growth and quality.Shrimp production rose optimum size at 2250 shrimp/m2. The simulation of economic analysis of shrimp production showed benefit to farmer in 1750 shrimp/m2 of density. This study support shrimp production in traditional method may increase with nursery system and additional feed in short period (2 weeks)

Partial Substitution of Fish Meal with Petek (Leiougnathus equulus) Flour in Commercial Feed of Patin Siam (Pangasius hypopthalamus) Fry
Patin Siam (Pangasius hypopthalamus) is a freshwater fish which is received considerable attention by public and has high economic value. In process of cultivation, farmers often got problems because of high price of feed. It’s because raw materials feed such fish meal still import from another country. One of the efforts to reduce the use of imported fish meal is using Petek fish meal. The aim of this research was to determine the effect of the use of Petek fishmeal as partial substitution of fish meal. This research used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 3 replications namely treatment A (commercial pellets / control), B (fish meal 75% + Petek fish meal 25%), C: (fish meal 50% + Petek fish meal 50%), D (25% fish meal + 75% Petek fish meal) and E: (0% fish meal + Petek fish meal 100%). Observed variables were absolute growth, daily growth rate, survival rate, and feed conversion ratio (FCR). Data were analyzed by ANOVA and Duncan test. The tested fish were cultivated in aquarium with dimension of 60 x 40 x 40 cm3 for 50 days. Fishes were feed three times a days with feeding rate of 5%. The results showed that the use of Petek fishmeal in feed could increase absolute growth and daily growth rate. The treatment of C resulted in highest absolute growth of Patin Siam and lowest feed conversion ratio. The treatments did not effect the survival rate of Patin Siam
