    KONTRIBUSI MATHEMATICS ANXIETY TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN AKADEMIK MAHASISWA PADA PEMBELAJARAN KALKULUS

    This reseach comprehending on the relation between mathematics anxiety and the academic competence of the first level students. This research is constituted by the performance of most students of the early study program of mathematics education still feel anxiety when dealing with mathematical problems in the learning of calculus, the emerging discomfort felt by the students. The method of this research is survey with corelation technique. The use of this method is to see how strong and how far the influence of mathematics anxiety on the students academic competence. The population of this research is the students of Mathematics Department faculty of teacher training and education in  Muhammadiyah University of Cirebon in the academic year 2016/2017. The sample of the research is purposive sampling which consists of 20 students who contracted differential calculus subject. The instrument  used in this research is mathematics anxiety scala. The result of the research shows that there is a negative relation between mathematics anxiety and students’ academic competence. The mathematics anxiety gives a contribution 35% to the students’ academics competence, and 65% influenced by other factors not examined in this study

    Prediksi melalui suatu pemodelan statistic merupakan kekuatan utama dari analisis regresi linier. Akan tetapi, teknik ini mensyaratkan variabel dependen atau kriteria harus memiliki data kontinum dan sebaran skor yang normal sehingga ia tidak dapat digunakan jika variabel kriterianya merupakan variabel binary (nominal dengan dua kategori, memiliki skor 1 atau 0). Regresi logistik merupakan teknik yang tepat untuk menggantikannya. Alih-alih menghasilkan taksiran skor variabel kriteria, pemodelan dengan regresi logistik menghasilkan taksiran probabilitas munculnya peristiwa (skor 1) pada variabel kriteria. Taksiran probabilitas tersebut diperoleh melalui model regresi yang menghasilkan nilai odds dan log odds, yang pada dasarnya merupakan cara pengungkapan yang berbeda tentang kenyataan yang sama terkait taksiran probabilitas munculnya peristiwa dari seluruh kejadian dalam variabel kriteria.

    PROFIL PENCAPAIAN KETERAMPILAN PROSES SAINS DAN PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUANKOGNITIF SISWA KELAS X DALAM PEMBELAJARAN FISIKA DENGAN BANTUAN LKS INQUIRY ACTIVITY BERBASIS MODEL PEMBELAJARAN CURIOUS NOTE PROGRAM (CNP)

    This study aims to determine the profile of achievement of students 'science process skills and students' cognitive abilities improvement in physics learning with the help of LKS Inquiry Activity based on CNP learning model. The study design used was a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The subject of this research is students of class X SMA Negeri 7 Yogyakarta amounting to 32 students. The data were collected by using test instruments in the form of pretest-posttest, LKS Inquiry Activity based on CNP learning model, and student response questionnaire. The profile of students 'science skill achievement can be determined from the scores criteria scores 5. The results obtained after using LKS Inquiry Activity based on CNP learning model that is the achievement profile of students' science process skill in Finding Out Question, Discussion, And Determination And Study Related Theory is included in the good category with a score of 4.00, 4.11 and 3.53, respectively. For the Inquiry Activity skill, it is categorized as excellent with a score of 4.50. Meanwhile, students' cognitive abilities increased with an average score of 4.32 with a good category. Students' responses to LKS Inquiry Activity based on the CNP learning model earned a grade of 3.57 in either category. It indicates that LKS Inquiry Activity based on CNP learning model can know the profile of the achievement of science process skill

    This study aimed to analyze the achievement of critical thinking skills of students throughvirtual lab assisted learning in preservice teachers of mathematics. The method used isweak experiment with the design of the study "one group pretest-posttest design". Theresearch was conducted on the subject for the static fluid level mathematics preserviceteachers university sector in the city of Cirebon academic year 2016/2017. The researchsubjects consisted of one class with the number of samples respectively of 23 preserviceteachers of mathematics. The data obtained in this study is data critical thinking skills thatinclude identifying the relevant issues, defines the subject matter, giving the reasons of theexperiment, using a strategy logically, doing the things done tentatively, summarized byconsidering the situation and then decide, answered questions about the facts, report isbased on observations, consider the appropriate procedures, involving a bit of conjecturebased on those events - events and report experimental generalization. Research hypothesistesting is done by using the t test on the N-gain critical thinking skills after learning to usethe virtual lab. The results of data analysis showed critical thinking skills gain of 0.58(moderate). From this analysis it can be concluded that learning-based virtual lab forpreservice teachers of mathematics can significantly improve the critical thinking skills ofpreservice teachers of mathematics. Besides, in general, the students give a positiveresponse to learning to use the virtual lab

    KORELASI PERSEPSI DAN MINAT DENGAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS 10 LINTAS MINAT BIOLOGI SMAN 1 AMBARAWA

    Biology is one of the cross-interest subject that much demanded by high school students who take a specialization group of Social and Language studies, but the study result of biology is relatively low. This research aims to determine the correlation between: (1) perception with study result of biology; (2) interest with  study result of biology; and (3) perception and interest with  study result of biology together. The research was conducted at SMAN 1 Ambarawa, population and sample are all 10th grade students of Cross-Interest Biology Class in the academic year 2016/2017. The research used non experimental quantitative design with correlational analysis. The data collected in the form of data of student’s perception, interest, and study result of biology. Data of perception and interest obtained by instrument of psychological scale with likert model, whereas data of study result obtained from the student value of final exam in the odd semester. The research results showed that: (1) the value of  rx1y=0,213 (low category) with the value of Sig. 0,014 < 0,05 at significance level of 5%; (2) the value of   rx2y=0,159 (very low category)  with the value of Sig. 0,070 > 0,05 at significance level of 5%; and the value of  R=0,216 (low category)  with the value of Sig.  0,048 < 0,05 at significance level of 5%. Based on the research can be concluded that: (1) there is low positive correlation between perception with study result of biology; (2) there is no correlation between interest with study result of  biology; and (3) there is low positive correlation between perception and interest with  study result of biology together for 10th grade students of Cross-Interest Biology Class at SMAN 1 Ambarawa

    PENGEMBANGAN MODUL BIOMOLEKUL DAN METABOLISME DENGAN PARADIGMA UNITY OF SCIENCES DAN GROWTH MINDSET

    This research is a research and development aiming to develop Biochemistry lecture module on Biomolecule and Metabolism Material with Unity of Sciences and Growth mindset paradigm, as well as to test its effectiveness. This research uses Sugiyono model and implemented in the Department of Chemistry Education. The validation of products is carried out by religious experts and biochemists. Trials were conducted  2 times,  in small groups and large groups that received biochemistry courses. The result of validation by religious experts is 92% and biochemist 88%. Based on the improved aspects of cognitive learning outcomes and learners' responses, the modules developed having high effectiveness. This is shown by the results of cognitive learning small classes show mastery of 85% and large classes reached 79%. While the responses of small class students obtained the score 84%, and 75% of the large class students.

    This study aims to describe the understanding of students' mathematical concepts in solving the factorization of algebraic tribes. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The subjects of the study were 6 students of class VIII B Surakarta State Junior High School 8 divided into 3 groups, namely the group of low, medium and high learning difficulties. Data collection techniques include tests and interviews. The results showed that (1) students who had low learning difficulties were able to master most of the indicators that were determined, only one indicator that had not been mastered, namely determining variables. (2) Students who have moderate learning difficulties have been able to master most of the indicators set, but there are indicators that have not been mastered, namely determining variables and there are several indicators that have not been smoothly mastered. (3) Students who have high learning difficulties have been able to master to determine examples of algebraic problems and students have not been able to master the indicators stating an operation, completing various algebraic forms, operating and using them

    ANALISIS MISKONSEPSI LITERASI SAINS MENGGUNAKAN THREE TIER MULTIPLE CHOICE TEST MATERI CAHAYA

    Recently mastery of scientific literacy for students has become the focus of education. The level of scientific literacy skills of students in Indonesia is low, which is influenced by misconceptions. So far, study on the development of diagnostic tests that uncover the misconception of scientific literacy is still limited, whereas it is much needed to improve the learning system in Indonesia. The result of observation and interview of scientific lesson in SMP Negeri 05 Semarang shows that students having difficulties in studying light materials and evaluation tools used by teachers are not continued to reveal misconception of scienctific literacy. The aims of this study to develop three tier multiple choice (3TMC) test with the scientific literacy aspect and to find the misconception of students' light scientific literacy. The research sample is class VIIIE and VIIIF with mix method of sequential explanatory strategy. The result of 3TMC test instrument with scientific literacy aspect which is developed which is 30 item where 25 items fulfill criteria with valid result, reliable, sufficient distinguishing, medium difficulty level while 5 grains are not used. The results of the interpretation indicate that the average learners have misconception of scientific literacy aspects of knowledge (A), science investigation competence (B), science as a way of thinking (C) and application of science to technology, society and environment. In-depth interviews were conducted on 7 students who experienced the highest misconception of scientific literacy.     PENERAPAN METODE KURABA MOLEKUL UNTUK MENINGKATKAN AKTIFITAS DAN HASIL BELAJAR MATERI TATA NAMA SENYAWA KARBON

    This study aims to determine whether (1)  The application of Kuraba Moleculelearning method is able to increase learning activity and (2) Application of learning method Kuraba Molecule is able to improve cognitive learning result. The research method used is classroom action research consisting of two cycles. The subjects of this study were students of class XI IPS SMA Negeri 1 Lasem Lesson Year 2016 / 2017. In this research, the Sample is taken using technique Purposive Sampling. The sample is class XI IPS 4. Research data in the form of cognitive learning outcomes and learning activities. Data collection is done through observation, test, questionnaire, and documentation. The quantitative descriptive analysis is used to analyze the data. The results of the research and analysis show that: (1) Application of Kuraba Molecule learning methods is able to improve student learning activities. The activeness of students before the action of 30.3%, in the first cycle, increased to 57.58%, and in the second cycle increased to 84.84%. (2) Application of Kuraba Molecule learning method is able to improve student cognitive learning outcomes. The classical completeness before the action was 27.27%, in the first cycle increased to 66.67%, and in the second cycle increased to 78.78%
