An Eclectic Approach to Arabic Language Education: Implementing Kitab al-Amtsilah at-Tashrifiyah in Modern Indonesian Pesantrens
The importance of effective Arabic language learning methods is increasingly recognized in Indonesia, particularly within modern pesantren. This study aims to explore how the al-Amṡilah at-Taṣrȋfiyyah book facilitates Arabic language acquisition in these educational settings. Employing a qualitative approach, this research utilizes a case study methodology, collecting primary data through interviews with three teachers and three students from Pesantren al-Amien Prenduan and Pesantren Darussalam Gontor. The findings reveal that modern pesantren implement various learning methods, including game-based learning, lingual-based learning, and eclectic-based learning. Specifically, the eclectic method integrates game-based learning with grammar instruction, where teachers provide explanations of Sharaf grammar after students complete reading and memorizing activities. This study concludes that these innovative teaching strategies enhance the effectiveness of Arabic language learning in pesantren environments. The implications of this research suggest that incorporating the eclectic method through the al-Amṡilah at-Taṣrȋfiyyah book can lead to more engaging and effective Arabic language instruction, ultimately benefiting both educators and students. Recommendations for further improving Arabic language teaching methodologies are provided to encourage ongoing development in this critical area of study
Religious-Sociocultural Networks and Social Capital Enhancement in Pesantren
Implementing society empowerment models is crucial for addressing micro-level problems where government services often fall short. Despite evidence that social capital significantly contributes to development and poverty reduction, there remains a gap in understanding specific strategies and outcomes of social capital-based empowerment initiatives. This study aims to fill this gap by investigating the unique learning concept of Pesantren Rakyat Sumberpucung (PRS), which emphasizes low- cost, independent, flexible, and mutual assistance principles. Utilizing framework which includes structural opportunity to meet, know-how of social interaction, sense of belonging, and ethos of mutuality, this study employed qualitative research design. Data were gathered through participant observation, semi-structured interviews with village-level stakeholders, in-depth interviews and focus group discussion. The results indicate that the integrative model known as "Pancarukun," which includes initiatives such as Jagong Mathon, Celengan, Ngaji Ngluruk, Lumbung Pesantren Rakyat, and Fatehahan, effectively strengthens socio-cultural-religious networks, fostering harmony and cooperation between PRS and the community. These strategies have successfully promoted a spirit of togetherness and consistent collaboration. In conclusion, PRS’s approach demonstrates the potential of integrative community-based strategies to address diverse problems across sectors such as economy, agriculture, education, and culture. By leveraging social capital, PRS has created a sustainable model of community empowerment that can serve as a blueprint for similar initiatives

Impact of the Ulû Al- Ilm Model on Six Domains of Student Learning Outcomes in Islamic Religious Education
This study explores the application of the ulû al-\u27ilm model, a Quranic learning approach, to enhance Islamic Religious Education (IRE). The purpose of the study is to examine its effectiveness in improving six crucial dimensions of student learning outcomes: cognitive, affective, psychomotor, ethical, social, and spiritual. Employing a quantitative experimental methodology with a pre-experimental design, specifically the one-group pretest-posttest approach, the research utilized statistical analysis through SPSS. The findings highlight the effectiveness of the ulû al-\u27ilm model in advancing student learning outcomes. In the cognitive domain, there was a significant increase from 2.50% in the pretest to 40.00% in the post-test. A similar pattern emerged across the affective (16.25% to 43.75%), psychomotor (3.75% to 30%), social (11.25% to 35%), ethical (5.00% to 42.50%), and spiritual (2.50% to 71.25%) realms. The SPSS data supports the positive impact of the ulû al-\u27ilm model on riyâá¸ah \u27amaliyah, facilitated through coaching, example setting, habituation, appreciation, and repetition during the IRE learning process. This study underscores the multifaceted benefits of integrating the ulû al-\u27ilm model in fostering comprehensive student development within the context of Islamic education

A Comprehensive Study on Biochar Production, Bibliometric Analysis, and Collaborative Teaching Practicum for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Islamic Schools
This research endeavors to assess the impact of additional practicum sessions and experimental demonstrations through video presentations on students\u27 comprehension in an Islamic boarding school. The study focuses on enhancing students\u27 understanding of the biochar concept, particularly its role as an adsorbent, aligning with contemporary issues related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and environmental problem-solving. To substantiate the research rationale, a concise literature review and bibliometric analysis were incorporated. The experiment involved comparing two classes – the experimental class, which received additional practicum and experimental demonstrations using videos, and the conventional class as the control group. The study included 45 students in Class XI of an Islamic boarding school. Learning outcomes were assessed through pre-test and post-test scores, as well as N-Gain calculations. The hypothesis was tested using the Paired Sample T-test. The practical aspect of the experiment involved carbonizing the skin of jengkol fruit to produce carbon, which was then utilized for adsorbing curcumin. The adsorption phenomena were observed and analyzed. The research findings demonstrated that the experimental demonstration method, particularly when complemented with video presentations, was more effective than conventional methods. This was evident from the N-Gain value of the experimental class and the results of statistical tests. The experimental demonstration method using videos is anticipated to enhance knowledge, provide a more authentic understanding and experience, and yield superior learning outcomes. These findings contribute valuable insights for future research on experimental demonstrations, emphasizing their potential to enhance the overall quality of student learning
