IBADURRAHMAN VALUE EDUCATION MODEL IN SCHOOL
This study is based on two different phenomena among few of students. On one side, some students have excellent achievement that is gained through optimal training process from all parties. On the other hand, some students do several misbehaviour actions such as fighting, raping, murdering, robbery, pornography, drinking alcohol, selling drugs, and mysticism that can ruin aqidah. This study aims to explain the development of value education model based Ibad al-Rahman character especially its vision, mission, program, situation, process, support from society, parents, and students and evaluation in order to train to be akhlaqul karimah personality. This study reveals some findings that the development of value education based on ‘Ibad al-Rahman character can assist to achieve school‟s vision, mission, objective, situation and condition and make it easy to realize education obejctive of ‘Ibad al-Rahman. In short, education process through habituation and exemplary is the most exact method and sufficient support from internal and external sides to bear ‘Ibad al-Rahman character, and evaluation is done in the development of value education based on ‘Ibad al-Rahman character in school
THE SCIENTIFIC PARADIGM OF ISLAMIC EDUCATION MANAGEMENT: PHENOMENOLOGY PERSPECTIVE
This paper intends to explore the possibility that phenomenology can be used as one of the foundations of scientific epistemology of Islamic education management. Scientific management of Islamic education would not be sufficient if only positivistic approached scientifically. Behaviors that contain messages of moral, theological and ideological embraced by managers, implementers and users of Islamic educational institutions are very complicated. To be able to describe these phenomena with a reasonable and until the deeply meaning (eidos), so phenomenological approach is needed. This approach can be used as a basis in developing others the science of Islamic education management. The science of Islamic education management can have a number of scientific fields (The science of diniyyah, madrassas, Islamic schools, and Islamic higher education management) and gave birth to a number of expertise (administrative staff, headmaster and superintendent at the madrasah level)
Private Islamic Higher Education in Asean Economic Community (AEC) Era
This article explores the challenge faced by Indonesia in ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) era. It is also revealed the Private Islamic Religion Institution (PTKIS) strategic to play its role and function in generating human resource. The method used is qualitative in the form of literature study. The result shows that PTKIS are required to adapt and see the AEC as an opportunity to change. A private status should be used as an institutional capital to create and innovate freely, by maximally utilizing the available resources. The management of a reputable institution is seen to be a significant factor for reinforcement. Aspects of visionary leadership, qualified lecturers, a curriculum that is responsive to a change, and an adequate infrastructure become a strengthening point toward the management accountability of universities in creating graduates who are competitive, skillful and qualified
An Overview of Teaching Listening in Islamic Tertiary Level of Education
The ultimate aim of this paper is to depict listening activities in teaching Basic Listening designed by lecturers in an EFL classroom observation of Islamic tertiary level of education in Indonesia. Qualitative methods, used to collect and analyze data gained from observation and interview. The result showed that the lecturer designed various activities in teaching Basic Listening in the EFL class, which they were set up in three stages: pre-listening, while-listening, and post-listening. The activities in the pre-listening were aimed at generating students’ interest, activating student’s prior knowledge, and trying to anticipate any difficult vocabularies. The while-listening stage is to invite students to be involved at listening through various physical movements, such as story telling, dialogue, listening to songs, and drama. The post-listening stage is to internalize what they have heard with other language skills and to check students’ comprehension.Â
FILANTROPI DAN PENDIDIKAN ISLAM DI INDONESIA
This article tries to discuss the possibility that Islam philantropy can contribute to the development of education in Indonesia. In the context of Islamic education in Indonesia, the tradition of philantropy can be found in alms and benefaction for educational institution. Therefore, Dompet Duafa established Lembaga Pengembangan Insan (Human Resource Development Institution), Rumah Zakat Indonesia designed Sekolah Juara (School for the Champions) and breeding program of reciting Quran had BASIQ program (Scholarship for students who learn Quran), EKSPOR (Productive Economy of Pesantren) and Daqu School (Darul Quran School). These Islamic philantropy institutions had put no concern on Islamic University as main partner yet. Whereas their involvement to support research in university level, specifically regarding Islamic studies, is significantly needed since it provides balance to the development of Islamic studies in the West which is also funded by Muslim philantropists such Bin Laden family and Abassi family and the Saudi Royal family
KONTRIBUSI TASAWUF-PSIKOTERAPI TERHADAP PENDIDIKAN ISLAM
This paper intends to outline the contribution of psychology of religion psychotherapy that evolved into a religion psychoteraphy with style Islamic (Sufi) on education, especially Islamic education. The approach used in this paper is Philosophical approach that is examining the structure of tasawuf psychotherapy that is further analyzed in the context of Islamic education discourse. The pattern of tasawuf psychoteraphy can be implemented in education, specifically in Islamic education, both substantively, methodically, and didactically. Substantively Islamic education aims to teach, improve, form and fix morals of madzmûmah to be karîmah moral. Methodically, Islam is not only as an educational institution that solely transfers knowledge to the students, but also as a guide, counselor and healer agency for students, parents, teachers and even society itself. Didactically, the relationship between teacher and student is like mursyid and his students. Professional teacher in Sufi‟s understanding is the teacher who has occupied a certain maqâmat as zuhud, wara\u27, taubah, and patient so that he has the maturity and politeness in facing the students
MAKNA GURU DALAM KONSEP TA’LIM, TARBIYYAH DAN TAZKIYYAH
This paper intends to analyze concepts associated to the duties and functions of a teacher such as, tarbiyyah, and tazkiyyah in al-Quran based on philosophical and pedagogical. There are a number of new challenges to interpret these concepts in order contextual with the demands and needs of the times. The results showed that the study groups is not just imparting knowledge and skills, but also emphasize the empowering sense. Empowering mind will enable students to develop skills in solving everyday problems. Empowering mind can deliver students aware of God\u27s wisdom. Orientation tarbiyyah intends to develop the potential of physical, psychological, and affective concerns such as moods, feelings, self-image, motivation, mental toughness as a characteristic ribbiyyûn. Tazkiyyah aims to develop heart as a place of faith, and avoiding polytheism. The activity was done by planting a religious duty to practice the habit of the practice of worship with the appreciation will be God\u27s wisdom
PEMBELAJARAN QUANTUM TEACHING DALAM PERSPEKTIF AL-QUR’AN Ahmad Nurcholis
This paper focuses on the discussion of quantum teaching learning model in the context of Islamic education that will be analyzed in the perspective of the Qur\u27an. Discussion of the method used is Tarbawi interpretation of Islam and science education. The results of the study showed that the quantum teaching is not new at all in Islam. At least the principles and steps of the learning process ever offered by the Qur\u27an. Problem is still poor for Muslims with the methodologies, and lazy in terms of research. Moreover, when examining the content of the Qur\u27an and Hadith. Al - Quran and al - Hadith only seen with one eye, which was then regarded as old-fashioned goods that it was time to saved become objects of history. QUALITY ASSURANCE SYSTEM BETWEEN THE ISLAMIC STATE UNIVERSITY AND THE STATE UNIVERSITY
The purpose of this research is to compare the quality assurance system in the Islamic State University at Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) of Malang and The State University at Technical Institute of Surabaya (Institut Teknik Surabaya/ITS). The findings concerning quality assurance system cover; the reasons for implementing the quality assurance, the core value of quality planning, the quality assurance of implementation, the quality assurance of evaluation, the supporting factor of the implementation of quality assurance, the quality assurance strategy, and the result of quality assurance. This study uses exploratory mixed method research design with the developmental model instrument. While the process of this research starts with collecting qualitative data, then the extreme finding is followed by collecting quantitative data, and the end of this process is interpreting data together. From the qualitative data, it can be concluded that there is a difference between quality assurance in UIN Malang and ITS. The quality assurance in the institution management (X), the academic aspect (Y), and customers’ satisfaction (Z) was significantly different (significantly) between UIN Malang and ITS. Customers’ satisfaction at UIN Malang is influenced by the quality of management and academic with a larger proportion than in ITS
CULTIVATING CHARACTER EDUCATION BASED ON SUNDANESE CULTURE LOCAL WISDOM
This study was aimed at determining the role of city government in cultivating character values based on Sundanese culture local wisdom to develop students’ life skill; describing the process, and impact of character values education; investigating both supporting  and inhibiting factors of character values education process in developing students\u27 life skills. This study which applied case study was conducted at public and private madrasah aliyah in Bandung. The finding shows that the city government plays important role in developing the Sundanese culture-based character values by issuing a policy in the form of Regulation No. 9 of 2012 concerning the use and preservation of language, literature, and Sundanese script. Madrasah aliyah used learning and mentoring to implement character education program. Character education is supported by several factors and this study found some factors inhibiting character education process.Â
