    PENGEMBANGAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN SINEKTIK DI MADRASAH IBTIDAIYAH

    The purpose of this study is to produce synectic learning model in order to develop students\u27 creative thinking skills in teaching Social Studies in the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. This research was conducted using research and development approach. Validation testing was performed in five madrasas of which the qualification are considered good, moderate and less. This study was developed by doing experiments and comparing between Synectic Learning Model (KE) and Conventional Model KK). Validation test results indicated that students\u27 ability to think creatively was different between the test results of the experimental group (α ≤ .0001) and the control group (α ≤ .0001). The result of this study concluded that: 1) Synectic Learning Model is the learning model proposed by Gordonsynectic. The development and modifications were made based on the condition and capability of students in the l Environtment of Elementary Madrasah; 2) The Implementation of synectic learning model can improve learning conditions on the subjects of Social Studies in Elementary Madrasah; 3) synectic learning model is effective to enhance creative thinking skills and student learning outcomes on the subjects of Social Sciences, as well as improving teacher performance

    [Teacher has a very heavy duty, but of the many duties of teachers, the assessment is the most difficult aspect. This happens not because of the weakness of teachers in evaluating learning outcomes in schools, because of the demands imposed on him, namely that learners must pass in learning, especially in the National Exam. This research is a kind of field research with qualitative approach to engineering design multisitus collecting data through interviews, participant observation and document study. The results of this study indicate that the strategy adopted in order to authentic assessment in the form private PAI holistic done through: (1) the transparency of the system in the initial assessment of learning; (2) the manufacture of diary; (3) specific code generation; (4) development of peer tutoring as an appraiser; (5) record makers "Anecdotes"; and (6) changes in the paradigm of teachers and parents. While the problems facing the PAI authentic assessment, namely: (1) the demands of the KKM, (2) the demands of school leaders and parents, (3) the demands of further education, (4) not achieving the standard of learning PAI on previous education, (5) has not been a real learning process, (6) lack of exemplary teachers, and (7) lack of time studying PAI in school].Â

    THE METHODS OF TEACHING AND LEARNING FIQH IN ISLAMIC BOARDING SCHOOL, ISLAMIC SCHOOL AND PUBLIC SCHOOL

    Fiqh is a compulsory subject even becomes the core in education pesantren, madrasah and school, because fiqh will affect the real life of individual or society in worship (mahdhah) as well as in being muamalah. Teaching learning methods of fiqh in schools consists of: bandongan (wetonan) or lecture; sorogan/private; mudzakarah/musyawarah/munadzarah (discussion), tahfidz (memorizing), tathbiq (demonstration/socio drama) and so on. Teaching learning methods in madrasah or school basically are the same as in pesantren with different terms. Teaching learning methods in pesantren are certainly the forerunner of learning methods in madrasah and school, because historically pesantren is the oldest Islamic institution in Indonesia which presence along with the arrival of Islam into the archipelago which is in Perlak, the west coast of Sumatra in the 1st century of Hijriah. The differences of teaching learning system of fiqh on three educational institutions that are characteristics of each institution. In pesantren, fiqh is taught by non-classical systems. Teaching learning is based on the holly book of fiqh (kutub turats) are not regulated in the programmed syllabus, but adhering to the chapters contained in the holly book is examined. In madrasah, fiqh is a separate subject from a clump of Islamic Religious Education (PAI), while at school, fiqh as an integral part of the subject of PAI. In madrasah and schools, teaching learning of fiqh based on the curriculum was assigned by the government as the enactment of the stages of the implementation of the curriculum in 2013 to PAI at madrasah by the Ministry of Religious from July of the academic year 2014/2015 and in schools established by Ministry of Education and Culture and academic year starting in July 2013/2014

    Supplementary Reading Materials for Madrasah Learners based on Genre Approach

    This paper investigated analysis of supplementary reading material development using a genre-based approach which is in line with the school curriculum. It employed the procedures: need analysis, supplementary materials development, expert validation, material revision, material testing, and subsequent material revision. The data were collected by using questionnaires, interview, syllabus analysis, and field note. The analysis shows that the supplementary reading materials entitled Reading for Islamic Learners were completely developed. The supplementary reading materials were developed on student’s need and school recommendation, in line with standard competence and basic competence from syllabus. They contain interesting reading passages featuring Islamic messages, delivered through colorful pictures. In addition they have various reading strategies and accompanied by  evaluation tools covering: multiple choice and essay.Â

    CHARACTER EDUCATION IN ISLAMIC BOARDING SCHOOL- BASED SMA AMANAH

    This paper aims to describe findings of the study in pesantren-based SMA Amanah covering: 1) the principal policy in developing character education, 2) the methods used in developing character education, 3) students’ characteristics as the result of the character education process, 4) the problems encountered in the implementation of character education and the efforts made in addressing the implementation of character education at the school. This study applied qualitative method using descriptive technique. The data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings of study showed that: 1) the principal’s policy in developing character education was carried out by implementing government policies in line with the school’s vision, mission, and programs; 2) the methods used in the process of character education were through role-modelling, assignments and nurturing, habituation, training programs, and  students’ participation in various types of activities, as well as the application of rewards and punishments; 3) the student\u27s characteristics resulted from the character  education process were piousness and devotion as well as being able to apply their knowledge and piety in everyday life; 4) problems encountered in the implementation of character education  were different values and norms students brought from home; imbalance of facilities compared to the number of students; as well as teachers’ readiness to actually implement the new program, which  was character education. Meanwhile the efforts made to overcome those problems were namely developing personal, family, neighborhood or community characters, and making commitment of all related parties/stakeholdres of SMA Amanah

    The study on hypothesis model of internalizing tawheed values in science materials (facts, concepts, and law) is expected to increase relative constribution of learning science toward achieving the national education objectives. The internalization will not lessen the scientifics itself. As a media to develop cognitive potency, science could develop the affective one as well. Through the materials, science internalizes the belief regarding all things in this world: things Allah has created, This belief could lead us to the obidience, characteristics and regularity of those things God created (Sunatullah), so that people can learn from them. It would enable the development of positive attitude, admiration to God’s power and love, gatitude and loyalty to Him. The internalization of tawheed values in science materials can be done through the discussion on the value/moral lesson/nature of the material from Islam perspective

As a result, reconstructing education system of Pesantren is a must in order to prepare Pesantren to be modern educational Institutions that are ready to compete with other educational institutions. Therefore, Pesantren needs one comprehensive education system that makes it function as a transmission either in form of formal or non-formal education. As the impact, Pesantren can actualize the essence of human life that is always involved in various changes in times since the dynamics of Pesantren in the future cannot be separated from the process of globalization. In this case, the existence of both traditional and modern Pesantren in the future will be determined by its ability to integrate culturally with the international system characterized by a more rational, dynamic and competitive relationship system

    Islamic Religion Education has been part of National Education System, however, its existence and contribution are less significant especially in empowering the nation. In fact, Islamic education has great potential in building character. This paper aims at identifiying and analyzing the efforts on Islamic Religion Education development in National Education System. This study used descriptive analysis method through literature review as secondary data. The result shows that Islamic Religion Education development in National Education System attempted to eliminate dycothom between general education and religion education independently. Otherwise, it must have a collaboration with other education. In sum, Islamic Religion Education is not only legitimized in a whole as a part of National Education System but also it requires a curriculum change that collaborate Islamic Religion Education System with other subjects

    Educational value as a teaching or counseling leads students to realize the values of truth, goodness, and beauty, through the process of the correct value judgments and habituation to act consistently. This study aims at identifying goals and assessment of religious values education in building healthy characters, and adopts an analytical descriptive method and qualitative approach. People with healthy personalities are those who are judged to be well adjusted. They are so judged because they are able to function efficiently in the word of people. They experience a kind of “inner harmony†in the sense that they are at peace with other as well as with themselves. The teacher expected goals is in line with the vision and mission of Darul Arqam Madrasah Aliyah equipped with extra-curricular activities and school discipline. Someone with a healthy personality can give happiness to her needs through behaviors (adjusted) with the environmental norms and needs of his conscience, thus forming the character of the students become independent, accomplished, happy, sholeh, honest, faithful and pious to Allah SWT

    RELIGIOUS VALUES IN INDONESIA’S CHARACTER EDUCATION

    This study aims at investigating the ideology behind the positioning of religion included in the Guidance of Culture and Character of the Nation of the Ministry of Education published in 2010. It is presented as part of the curriculum of character education and prescribes for teachers on how to conduct the implantation of good moral values in their students’ mind and heart. This issue of character education marks a significant shift in Indonesia’s national curriculum of education showing a potential to be a conflicting battleground of ideologies. Hence, this is an essential issue to study, especially in the light of Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA). By using three dimensional models of CDA’s Fairclough (1989) the Indonesia’s curriculum of character education is textually analyzed. The result of analysis shows that the use of religious values may still be questionable; in terms of symbols and jargons, religion is highly valued; however, it seems to be only a disguise to silently suppress and marginalize its essential core of teachings
