(Book Report) Mittelpunkt: Deutsch als Fremdsprache für Fortgeschrittene
Buku sumber pembelajaran bahasa Jerman yang digunakan dalam pembelajaranbahasa Jerman sebagai bahasa asing (Deutsch als Fremdsprache) cukup beragam dalam aspek varian, pendekatan yang digunakan maupun layoutnya. Dengan kata lain, setiap pembelajar maupun lembaga pembelajaran bahasa Jerman tampaknya tidak akan mempunyai kesulitan dalam menemukan buku sumber ajar yang sesuai bagi setiap jenjang pembelajaran. Buku ajar yang umum digunakan di Indonesia adalah terbitan penebit katalis Jakarta. Namun demikian, masih ada alternatif lain bagi pembelajar bahasa Jerman, yaitu buku terbitan Klett atau lengkapnya Ernst Klett Sprachen GmbH. Salah satu buku terbitan Klett adalah Mittelpunkt yang juga digunakan oleh Goethe-Intitut Mannheim-Heidelberg. Tulisan ini akan membahas buku Mittelpunkt B2.2 yang merupakan rangkaian buku ajar Mittelpunkt bagi tahap menengah (Deutsch als Fremdsprache als Fortgeschrittene)
EFEKTIVITAS APLIKASI LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (LMS) DALAM PEMBELAJARAN GRAMMATIK BAHASA JERMAN
Belum optimalnya pemanfaatan internet dalam pembelajaran Grammatik (tatabahasa Bahasa Jerman), rendahnya motivasi dan prestasi dalam pembelajaran Grammatik, dan kurang inovatifnya pembelajaran grammatik melatarbelakangidiselenggarakannya penelitian ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah pembelajaran Online dengan penerapan aplikasi Learning Management System (LMS) dapat efektif dalam meningkatkan penguasaan grammatik mahasiswa. LMS adalah salah satu cara dalam mengembangkan pembelajaran Online atau e-learning, yang merupakan sebuah aplikasi pengelolaan pembelajaran berbasis web yang memfasilitasi pembelajar untuk belajar sebagaimana mestinya dalam sebuah kelas virtual, kelas dalam dunia maya. LMSyang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah LMS berbasis Moodle yang telah tersedia di alamat http://jerman.upi.edu/vkz. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik kuasi eksperimen dengan desain Pretest-Posttest Control Group. Pada kelompok eksperimen diberi perlakuan pembelajaran dengan penerapan LMS, sementara pada kelompok kontrol diberi perlakuan pembelajaran konvensional dalam kelas. Data yang diperlukan dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dariserangkaian prates dan pascates, dan kemudian dianalisis dengan uji perbandingan rata-rata (uji t) dan uji perbedaan skor gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan grammatik antara kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol ternyata tidak memiliki perbedaan yang signifikan. Namun demikian, terbukti bahwa pembelajaran dengan aplikasi LMS efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan grammatik mahasiswa
ANALYSIS OF GERMAN LANGUAGE LEARNING BASED ON HYBRID LEARNING (A CASE STUDY OF GRADE X STUDENTS OF ANGKASA HUSEIN SASTRANEGARA HIGH SCHOOL)
German hybrid learning model combines two learning methods that consist of offline and online. There are still many aspects in this learning model that need further analysis, for example student's score acquisition during hybrid learning and student's perception on German hybrid learning model as a result of empirical data which can be seen and valued. This research is conducted based on previously discussed aspects to identify: 1) 10th grade students’ result during the German hybrid learning at Angkasa Husein Sastranegara High School; 2) 10th grade students’ perception on German hybrid learning at Angkasa Husein Sastranegara High School. This research uses qualitative analysis with descriptive cases study. The result of this research's analysis determined that 1) Student's score acquisition during German hybrid learning has no significant difference overall, rather there are differences during the offline and online learning; 2) Student's perception on German hybrid learning conclude that learning goes effectively and reveal another learning environment caused by offline and online learning. Furthermore, hybrid learning model offers a student-focused learning method to help students explore insight independently. However, students find F2F learning more effective for foreign language learning, notably German. Rangkaian buku studio d mulai dikenal di Indonesia terutama sejak buku tersebut diterbitkan di oleh penerbit Katalis Jakarta dan digunakan sebagai buku ajar bahasa Jerman di Goethe-Institut dan di beberapa jurusan bahasa Jerman di perguruan tinggi di Indonesia seperti halnya di Jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa Jerman UPI. Buku yang digunakan sebagai bahan ajar tersebut adalah studio d A1, studio d A2 dan studio d B1. Ketiga buku tersebut berada pada level dasar (Grundstufe).Buku yang dibahas dalam resensi ini adalah buku lanjutan dari seri studio d sebelumnya. Buku ini berada pada level B2 atau tingkat menengah (Mitttelstufe) dan terdiri dari dua jilid, yaitu studio d B2/1 dan studio d B2/2. Buku studio d B2/1 – die Mittelstufe ini terdiri dari 232 halaman dengan ukuran kertas 21,2 x 29,6 x 1,4cm dengan ISBN 978-3-06-020094-8. Bahasa pengantar dalam buku ini adalah bahasa Jerman dengan penerbit Cornelsen Verlag Berlin dan terbit pada tahun 2010. TEXT ANALYSIS OF ONLINE LEARNING NEWS IN THE COVID-19 ERA IN GERMAN AND INDONESIAN ONLINE NEWSPAPERS
This research examines the text analysis of online learning news in the COVID-19 era using the critical discourse analysis approach of the Teun A. van Dijk model. Teun A. van Dijk's critical discourse analysis research has three elements: text elements, social cognition elements, and social context. The text element is divided into macrostructure, superstructure, and microstructure. In the microstructure, two elements are to be analyzed: semantic and syntactic. This study aims to compare text elements, social cognition elements, and social context contained in the coverage of online learning in the COVID-19 era in German and Indonesian online newspapers. The object of this research focuses on three online newspapers, namely Süddeutsche Zeitung, Deutsche Welle, and Kompas. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis. Data analysis techniques were collected by analyzing three elements of text: social cognition and social context. Then, the data were classified using tables to be compared and concluded. The results of the analysis of text elements in German and Indonesian online newspapers have similarities in which the text describes the relationship between the title of the discourse in the story and the content and cover, also has reasons that support the core topic and has direct quotes and coherence intertwined between schemes in the story, there are also important facts that are in the news. Furthermore, the elements of social cognition and context found media bias and social issues established by the news text. Based on the results of the study, a critical attitude when reading news is needed so that the audience is well-informed and understands the context of the news.Keywords: Text Analysis, Critical Discourse Analysis, Online Newspapers, German Online Newspaper

Untuk mencapai tujuantersebut pengajar dapat memberikan tugas mandiri yang dapat diselesaikan olehmahasiswa, baik secara sendiri maupun berkelompok. Dalam bahasa Jermantugas-tugas yang demikian disebut dengan Projektarbeit. Dalam menyelesaikantugas-tugas tersebut mahasiswa dilatih untuk membuat perencanaan, memilihtema dan bentuk presentasi serta melakukan evaluasi tugas mereka secaramandiri
EFFECTIVENESS OF NEARPOD LEARNING MEDIA IN LEARNING PERSONALPRONOMEN IM AKKUSATIV FOR SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
Pronomina has a big role in mastering German grammar. To master pronominal forms well, learning media is needed that can support the learning process. In today's modern era, learning media in the form of applications is an option amid the widespread use of smartphones, one of which is NearPod. The purpose of this research is to find out: 1) Students' ability in mastering Personalpronomen im Akkusativ material before the use of NearPod media, 2) Students' ability to master Personalpronomen im Akkusativ after using NearPod, 3) The effectiveness of NearPod media in improving students' learning ability in Personalpronomen im Akkusativ, and 4) Students' response to NearPod media. The research method used in this research is quantitative with the type of Quasi Experiment. The population in this study were all students of class X in the even semester of the 2022/2023 school year at SMA Negeri 4 Cimahi with the sample being 30 students from class X IPA 2 as the experimental class and 30 students from class X IPA 3 as the control class. The findings of this study are: 1) The initial ability of students in the experimental class is included in the deficient category, while the control class is classified as a failed category, 2) After using NearPod, the ability of students in the experimental class is in the good category, while the control class is in the sufficient category, 3) Based on the results of the Independent Sample t-Test, the use of NearPod as a learning media for Personalpronomen im Akkusativ proved to be effective. This can be proven from the significance value (2-tailed) which is less than 0.05 (0.00 0.05). In other words, there is a significant effect between learning using NearPod and conventional learning on the mastery of Personalpronomen im Akkusativ. 4) The majority of learners approve the use of NearPod in learning Personalpronomen im Akkusativ.Keywords: learning media, nearpod. personalpronomen im Akkusati
THE USE OF EDUCANDY INTERACTIVE MEDIA FOR LEARNING INOFFIZIELLE UHRZEITEN
Differences in the way of expressing official and unofficial time in German often make students have difficulty in understanding Uhrzeit material, especially inoffizielle Uhrzeiten. One of the efforts to overcome this is by utilizing a variety of learning media, such as Educandy interactive media. The purpose of this research is to find out: 1) The level of students' understanding of inoffizielle Uhrzeiten material before the use of Educandy media, 2) The level of students' understanding of inoffizielle Uhrzeiten material after the use of Educandy media, 3) The effectiveness of using Educandy media to improve students' ability to master inoffizielle Uhrzeiten material. This research uses quantitative methods with quasi-experimental types. The population in this study were all grade X students at SMA Pasundan 1 Bandung in the 2022/2023 school year with a research sample of 24 students of grade X MIPA 4 as the experimental group and 21 students of grade X MIPA 3 as the control group. The results of this study are as follows: 1) The average test scores of the experimental group and control group before treatment were in the poor category, 2) After treatment, the average test score of the experimental group was in the very good category, while the control group was in the good category, 3) Based on the results of the Independent Sample t-Test, the use of Educandy media proved to be effective. This is evidenced by the significance value (2-tailed) obtained less than 0.05 (0.001). Thus, Educandy media can be an alternative learning media in learning inoffizielle Uhrzeiten
CHARACTERIZATION AND SETTING ANALYSIS IN CHRISTINE NÖSTLINGER'S ROMANCE LUMPENLORETTA
Research on characterization and setting in a literary work is conducted to prove that the existence of characters and settings is an important element in a literary work that has many changes and developments throughout the story. The portrayal of unclear characters makes it difficult for readers to understand the storyline. The purposes of this study are to describe the characterization and setting in the romance Lumpenloretta by Christine Nöstlinger, as well as to find out the relationship between characterization and setting in the romance Lumpenloretta by Christine Nöstlinger. The research method used is the objective approach method with structuralism theory. The data collection process in this research is done by literature study and note-taking technique. Based on the results of data analysis, it is described that 1) Characters and characterizations include: (a) Glatze is a stubborn, anti-social, persistent, wild and brave, static, simple and closed conception; (b) Loretta is a shameless and friendly person, static, simple and closed conception; (c) Locke is loyal and friendly, static, simple and closed conception; (d) Zecke is Glatze's best friend who pays attention to appearance and is selective in making friends, static, simple and closed conception; and (e) Zahn is Glatze's best friend who has the same traits as Zecke, static, simple and introverted conception. (2) The setting of the place where the events take place: (a) the neighborhood, the kitchen, and the bathing pool; (b) The time setting that shows the mood: about two hours, every few weeks, two years ago; The phase of the characters' lives: Glatze, a quiet person who does not care about love until he falls in love with Loretta and Loretta, a strange-looking person who enters the settlement until she moves out because she is disliked by the residents of the settlement.
