    KINDER IN KULTUREN UND SPRACHEN - “KIKUS” (Sebuah Kajian Bahan Ajar Bahasa Jerman Untuk Anak Usia Dini)

    Penelitian ini mengkaji bahan ajar bahasa Jerman untuk anak usia dini. Hal inidilatar belakangi oleh pemikiran bahwa usia dini merupakan periode emas di manaanak memiliki kemampuan belajar bahasa yang maksimal, sehingga diperlukanadanya bahan ajar yang sesuai untuk kebutuhan ini. Bahan ajar KIKUS merupakanmateri khusus yang dirancang untuk mendorong anak-anak dari latar belakangyang tidak berbahasa Jerman untuk mempelajari bahasa ini pada usia pra-sekolah.Bahan ajar ini disusun berdasarkan pendekatan pragmatik, serta disajikan denganmetode belajar induktif yang mengkombinasikan materi-materi bahasa dengankegiatan bermain dalam kehidupan anak sehari-hari. Demikianlah sehingga dapatdisimpulkan bahwa bahan ajar ini dapat dijadikan pilihan bagi pihak-pihak yangakan memperkenalkan bahasa Jerman pada anak usia dini. Untuk penerapannyadi Indonesia, dari hasil penelitian ini disarankan untuk melengkapi bahan ajarini dengan materi seperti gambar-gambar dari tema sejenis namun yang berlatarbelakang situasi kehidupan, khususnya anak, di Indonesia

    Istilah reproduksi berasal dari kata bahasa Inggris to reproduce yangsecara denotatif berarti ‚mengungkapkan atau menghasilkan kembali’,sedangkan salah satu arti dari kata ‚pesan’ adalah ‚perintah, nasihat,permintaan, amanat yang harus dilakukan atau disampaikan kepadaorang’1.     Im folgenden Beitrag zur translatologischen Praxis wird der Versuch unternommen, zu zeigen, inwiefern die Übertragung der semantischen Dimensionen religiöser Termini und sprachspezifischer Phänomene der Grammatik aus der einen Sprache in eine andere Sprache (un-)möglich sind. Nach einer kurzen Erläuterung von Kultur und Religion werden mögliche Überstzungsschwierigkeiten (wie z.B. Bedeutungsverengung) am Beispiel von Agápē (ἀγάπη) und Philía (φιλíα) in der Bibel und von Kāfir (كافر), Fāsiq (فاس ق), Fāğir (فاجر) und der Sawfa- Partikel im Koran u.a. dargestellt. Freilich ist es dabei nicht unser Ziel, Lösungsvorschläge allgemeiner Gültigkeit zu geben (das ist ja auch nicht möglich); es wird vielmehr angestrebt, die Problematik aus der Sicht des „Bedeutungstransfers“ anzuschneiden

    ADJECTIVE ANALYSIS OF PARTIZIPIENTS IN THE ROMANCE SOWIESO UND ÜBERHAUPT BY CHRISTINE NÖSTLINGER

    There are some aspects in a literary text that could help a writer to deliver a message they want to convey or to describe a situation they want to explain. One of those aspects is an adjective. The main concern of this research is not the usual adjectives that we encounter every day, but instead the adjectives that are formed from participles. Because the novel from Christine Nöstlinger, Sowieso und Überhaupt, has so many adjectives from participles in it, this novel was used as a source for the data that would be classified and analyzed in this research. Moreover, the purposes of this research are to: (1) know the forms of the adjectives from participles, whether the adjective is inflected (declined) or not, and to (2) know the functions of these adjectives from participles. This then could lead to a better understanding of the meanings that these adjectives hold and to help understand literary texts better. Also, this research is descriptive qualitative research, where the forms of the data that were compiled would be first examined and classified into two classifications (inflected or not). This classification showed the result that (1) some adjectives from participles that are found and compiled from the novel Sowieso und Überhaupt are inflected and some can be used even without it being inflected, like how adjectives are normally used. After the classification, the functions of these adjectives would be analyzed based on their location in their respective sentences. This analysis is helped by the previous classification, in which some adjectives are inflected and some are not. The result of the analysis indicated that (2) the inflected adjectives from participles in the novel definitely have the attributive function, whereas the adjectives with no inflection could have one of the last two functions; applicative or predicative. If the adjective is standing in the middle of the sentence, then this adjective has the applicative function and if the adjective is connected with a copular verb (linking verb) and determines a subject or an object, then it would have the role in the sentence as a predicate adjective in a predicative function. Based on the analysis result, there are two recommendations given: (1) it is recommended to know the functions of adjectives from participle for a better understanding of their meanings, and (2) to do research on the variations of verbs that are determined by adjectives with applicative function.Keywords: analysis, adjective, participle, form, functio

    EFFECTIVENESS OF PREVIEW, QUESTION, READ, SUMMARY, TEST (PQRST) LEARNING METHOD IN LEARNING GERMAN READING SKILLS

    Reading skills in German language learning are not easy to master. The lack of vocabulary in German owned by learners makes it difficult to understand a text. Poor mastery of German grammar can also make it difficult for learners to understand the meaning of sentences in German texts. The use of appropriate learning methods for reading skills is assumed to help learners understand the content of the text more deeply. One method that can be applied to overcome this problem is the Preview, Question, Read, Summary, Test (PQRST) learning method. The purpose of this study was to determine: 1) students' German reading ability before the application of PQRST method; 2) students' German reading ability after the application of PQRST method; 3) the difference between students' ability in reading comprehension of German text before and after the application of PQRST learning method; 4) the effectiveness of PQRST method in learning German reading skills; and 5) students' responses to the use of PQRST learning method in learning German reading skills. This research is quantitative with Quasi Experiment method and Non-equivalent Control Group design. The population in this study were 11th grade students of SMA PGII 2 Bandung in the 2022/2023 academic year. The research instruments used were written tests, lesson plans, and questionnaires. The results showed that: 1) the average value of the experimental class pretest was 64.67 and the control class was 67.67. Both are included in the "good" category; 2) the average value of the experimental class posttest is 85.67 and is included in the "very good" category, while the average value of the control class is 75 and is included in the "good" category; 3) there is a significant difference between reading skills before and after the application of the PQRST Method; 4) the PQRST method is effective in learning German reading skills as evidenced by the results of the t-test which produces a significance value (2-tailed) less than 0.05 (0.017 0.05); and 5) the results of the questionnaire show that students give positive responses to the application of the PQRST method in learning German reading skills.     DEVELOPMENT OF POP-UP BOOK AS A MEDIUM OF LEARNING GERMAN READING SKILLS

    When learning German, there are four skills that must be mastered, namely reading (Lesen), writing (Schreiben), listening (Hören), and speaking (Sprechen). Reading (Lesen) is one of the skills that students must master, but there are still many obstacles in learning reading skills. One of them is students' interest in reading which tends to be low.  Therefore, the researcher developed Pop-Up book media to deal with the problem. The purpose of this research is to produce Pop-Up books. Pop-Up books are books that have three-dimensional shapes and images that appear when the page is opened. Pop-Up book development can be done with the Research and Development (RD) research method. This research involved teachers and students from SMA Negeri 8 Pandeglang. The result of this research is Pop-Up book media with Wohnen In Deutschland material. Pop-Up book media has been validated by material and media experts and assessed by teachers. Pop-Up book media is assessed using a questionnaire with a Likert scale. Material experts gave a score of 80% (Good), media experts gave a score of 85.33% (Very Good), German teachers gave a score of 94.66% (Very Good), and students gave an average score of 92.33% (Very Good). Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that; (1) Pop-Up book media can be developed using the Research and Development (RD) method, (2) Pop-Up book media can be implemented in learning German reading skills, (3) Pop-Up book media get excellent ratings and responses from teachers and students. Therefore, Pop-Up books can be used as an alternative choice for learning media for German reading skills

    PENGAJARAN KETERAMPILAN MEMBACA DENGAN KONSEP “BINNENDIFFERENZIERUNG”

    Dalam pengajaran keterampilan membaca biasanya mahasiswa atau pembelajar dalam satu kelas mengerjakan tugas-tugas yang sama. Tetapi tugas-tugas tersebut diselesaikan dalam waktu yang berbeda, karena perbedaan kemampuan membaca , tipe pembelajar atau tipe intelegensi mahasiswa. Oleh sebab itu hasil belajar keterampilan membaca mereka juga berbeda. Dari observasi awal pada Jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa Jerman diketahui bahwa kemampuan rata-rata mahasiwa dalam membaca teks bahasa Jerman masih relatif rendah, yaitu 6,1 dalam skala 10. Berdasarkan masalah tersebut dilakukan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan tujuan untuk melihat penerapan konsep Binnendifferenzierung dalam pengembangan keterampilan membaca teks bahasa Jerman. .Binnendifferenzierung adalah suatu konsep pengajaran yang diterapkan dalam proses belajar dengan pemberian tugas yang berbeda yang disesuaikan dengan kondisi pembelajar yang berbeda pula. Subyek penelitian adalah 31 mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa Jerman yang mengontrak mata kuliah Arbeit mit Lesetexten (Bekerja dengan Teks bacaan). Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan dua siklus yang terdiri dari empat tahap, yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, diskusi dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Binnendifferenzierung dapat efektif diterapkan dalam pengajaran keterampilan membaca dengan berbagai variasi. Mahasiswa merespons penerapan konsep tersebut dengan sangat positif. Hal itu dapat dilihat dari catatan lapangan; peningkatan hasil tes pada siklus pertama yaitu menjadi 6,4 dan pada siklus kedua 7,7; serta hasil angket
