Get PDFThis study aims to improve student learning outcomes of class IX.2 State Junior High School Muara Beliti on the material business to defend the Republic of Indonesia by using the Snowball throwing learning. The research method used is Classroom Action Research. The study was conducted in two cycles with each model cycle following the procedure: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The action of two cycles resulted in improving the quality of learning and improving the learning outcomes, the average completeness of students' learning cycle one 68.55% completeness 61.29%. Cycle two averages 80.1% completeness 90%. Get PDFThis study aims to determine the effect of the project-based learning social studies consumer perceptions of student character. Consumer perception of the character of this research is focused on the consumption of environmentally sound because it was found that the students are less concerned about the environment, especially the cleanliness class. This type of research including quasi experimental, aimed at assessing the effect of an action learning on students' perceptions before and after treatment. Subjects were students of 2015 batch S1 IPS which follows the introductory economics course. The instrument used to measure the consumption of environmentally sound perception using a questionnaire with Likert scale. Based on the homogeneity test the cognitive abilities of students conclusion has a homogeneous character and definitive experimental group and the control is done randomly. This study analyzed SPSS 22.0 for Windows using independent sample T-test. Results of the analysis showed that there were significant differences between the control and experimental class class. Therefore, it can be concluded that the application of project-based learning IPS effect on consumer perceptions of character. In project-based learning allows students trying to construct their own knowledge and actively involved in seeking information so it is expected that students are able to connect theory gained with the existing reality in the environment.Keywords: Project Based Learning, Perception Character consumption http://dx.doi.org/10.17977/um022v1i12016p06

The generation born in the early 2000s when the rapid development of such technology referred to as generation-z or net generation. Characters of this generation is very sensitive to technology and communication, meaning they have an advantage in the field of information and knowledge development. While the educators who were born in an earlier era are still not familiar with it so that educators often claimed to be "clueless" (stuttering technology). To address this need no new innovations in the learning process so that it complies with these characters. Combines conventional learning with communication media such as whatsapp and google drive is one easy solution social studies lesson on the generation-z. Learners who are accustomed to communicate using social networks can access the material and lesson plans that have been prepared with structured each meeting. So that they can read or prepare questions before the learning begins. The proportion of the use of e-learning in this study reached 35% so that it can be summed up as learning blended learning. This learning to stand on its information technology infrastructure and can be done anytime and anywhere. Get PDFThis study aims to determine the knowledge and attitude of flood disaster preparedness of Elementary School Pilanggede, District Balen, Bojonegoro. Knowledge is a key factor to preparedness. Knowledge can affect the attitude and awareness to standby in anticipating the disaster. Children from an early age should be given a proper understanding of the types of disasters that may be affecting their area and ways of dealing with disasters when it comes suddenly. The vulnerability of children to disasters is triggered by a limited understanding of the risks surrounding them, resulting in a lack of preparedness in the face of disasters. Elementary School Pilanggede District Balen, Bojonegoro is one that has flood every year. Not only the school buildings are flooded, but most of the students live as well. This research uses quantitative approach with survey method. The survey was conducted to find out the description of the condition of knowledge and attitude of student preparedness to the flood disaster that occurred in the environment. Furthermore, a descriptive analysis was conducted. The data needed in this research is primary data obtained from observation and spreading of questionnaire conducted at grade 3 to 6 Elementary School Pilanggede. The research findings indicate that students' knowledge of the flood disaster is still poorly proved by an understanding of the causes and occurrence of low floods. The student's attitude in reducing flood risk is also quite low as evidenced by playing during floods and the use of electronic during floods and the provision of equipment is minimal. Implementasi model STAD untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dan aktivitas siswa mata pelajaran IPS
Get PDFBased on observations note that results for students of class VII-A SMP Negeri 17 Malang quite low. It can be seen from the average value of class VII-A to subjects IPS Geography 51.5. The results of this study were lower due to several factors one of which is learning is dominated by teachers. STAD is one model of cooperative learning that can train students to work together and allow students to be more active eg active students ask, do worksheets, and other tasks. This study aims to improve learning outcomes and student activity by clicking implement the model STAD. This type of research is the PTK, which consists of two cycles, each cycle consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Retrieval of data conducted by observation and a written test. The experiment was conducted in classes VII-A SMP Negeri 17 Malang with the number of students 41 people, in the subject matter atmosphere. The results showed that the learning outcomes of students has increased. It can be seen from the percentage increase in the average value of the test end of each cycle is from the first cycle to the second cycle of each value is 61.15 and 77, as well as increasing the value of learning outcomes at 15.85 from the first cycle to the second cycle. The achievement of learning outcomes is increased in the second cycle is supported by a good learning activity. Where the percentage of achievement of student learning activities in the first cycle an average of 46% and increased to 70.4% in the second cycle. Get PDFThe focus of this research is to describe and analyze the praxis of Lesson Study for Learning Community as an effort to enhance social studies teaching learning quality by applying lesson study activity in SMPN 2 Sumberpucung which was guided by Faculty of Social Science Universitas Negeri Malang (UM). This research used a qualitative research approach and case study research design. The main sources of this research were all the social studies teachers of SMPN 2 Sumberpucung and the lecturers of Faculty of Social Science UM which was involved in the lesson study activity on this school. Research findings has led the author to take two conclusions. First, the quality of social studies teaching learning has increased by the praxis of Lesson Study for Learning Community in SMPN 2 Sumberpucung. Second, the collegial collaboration between the teachers and the lecturers has significant contributions in the enhancement of social studies teaching learning quality. The pattern of collegial collaboration manifested in the lesson plan and reflection session, and also has observed in the open lesson session.
