    Pendekatan Dual Response Pada Prediksi Penjualan Sepeda Motor Menggunakan Jaringan Syaraf Tiruan

    Dual response approach is using for get the maximal result of prediction on Neural Network, in order to prediction motorcycle sale in the next period. The purpose of the research is (1) to make model of motorcycle prediction using neural network, and (2) make prediction and analyze the result of motorcycle prediction. First step to do in this research is searching the mean and standard deviation from the historycal data which obtained. And then data is normalized to the sigmoid biner form, with range from 0,1 to 0,9. After that train the data to recognize the pattern through the training process and testing process. And the next step for simulation process to get the prediction result. Result from the research which using the train function “trainlm” with network architecture 12-8-3-2 from january 2021 until december 2021 is; 302, 284, 326, 253, 277, 277, 240, 296, 284, 275, 265, and 310. The prediction result is showing that highest sales is on march 2021 with 326 motorcycle unit, and the lowest sales is on july 2021 with only 240 motorcycle unit.     The tower structure of a wind power plant must be able to support other parts such as wind turbines, gearboxes and alternators. Thus the tower structure must be designed to be strong to withstand the heavy loads of other components and more specifically wind loads that can bend or break the tower structure if it is not strong enough.The purpose of this research is to calculate the load on the tower and design the tower structure for the L-type savonius wind turbine. Next, make a miniature tower to complete the miniature wind power plant which is the object of research.The tower structure is designed using pipes with dimensions; 2500 mm high, 203.20 mm outside diameter, 183.2 mm inside diameter, and 10 mm thick. The gearbox holder is made of 50 mm x 50 mm hollow steel with a thickness of 1.8 mm. The results of the static simulation of the tower structure using Solidworks 2016 show that the maximum von Mises stress is 1.33 MPa, and the maximum displacement is 1.84 mm.The designed tower is implemented in a miniature with a scale of 1:5, has a height of 50 cm and a pipe diameter of 2 inches, the gearbox holder is made of S 45 C strip steel with a size of 17 cm x 5 cm and a thickness of 5 mm. Keywords: PLTB, L-type savonius wind tower structure, Static simulatio

    The production process is one of the important activities of the company that needs to be considered considering its key role in the operation or absence of a business. Related to this importance, this study aims to determine the various types of inhibiting factors in the Abaka Fiber (Musa textilis Nee)   production process and create a ranking model by applying the Preference Selection Index (PSI) method. The results of the application of the Preference Selection Index (PSI) method in the Abaka Fiber Production case study showed nine types of inhibiting factors. Meanwhile, in terms of ranking of inhibiting factors, the priority of inhibiting factors ranked first is occupied by inhibiting factors.     Perancangan Gearbox Turbin Angin Savonius Tipe-L Untuk Pembangkit Listrik Pada Rumah Tinggal

    The L-type of Savonius wind turbine is one type of vertical axis wind turbine. The L-type of Savonius wind turbines have proven be an effective wind turbine for converting wind energy into electrical energy. One part that plays a role in the process of converting wind energy to electricity is a gearbox. The gearbox serves to increase the rotation coming from the turbine and then forward it to the alternator. In this research, a gearbox for wind power generation with the L-type of Savonius wind turbine has been designed. The gearbox consists of a pair of gears, two shafts, four bearings, and two keys.                The calculation results show that the gearbox speed ratio is 5.3, while the torque on the first shaft is 10.12 Nm and on the second shaft is 1.88 Nm.     PERANCANGAN ALAT PENUKAR KALOR TIPE SHELL AND TUBE UNTUK GASOLINE ENGINE CM11-MKII

    Shell and tube is one type of heat exchanger that serves to change the temperature of a fluid. To support the performance of this equipment, proper design and appropriate capcity are needed. The purpose of this research is to make a design of shell and tube heat exchanger on the gasoline engine CM11-MKII.The design of this shell and tube heat exchanger is done by using the Kern method. Kern’s calculation is easier to understand, as the sequence of calculations and formulas used are clearly displayed. The completion stage of the design still uses trial and error methods.The specifications obtained for the inner diameter of the shell are 8 inches with a baffle distance of 6 inches and the number of tracks is 2 tracks. While the specifications for the tube are 16 inches long, 0.584 inches inside diameter, 0.75 inches outside diameter and the number of tracks is 4 tracks.The calculation results using the above specifications obtain a total heat transfer coefficient of 401.71 Btu/hour.ft2. °F, while for the design coefficient of 205 Btu/hour.ft2.°F and the fouling factor that occurs is 0.0023 hours.ft2.°F . The calculations obtained meet the requirements of the shell and tube type APK with water as the working fluid.Keyword: Design, Heat Exchanger, Shell and tub

    ANALISIS KEAUSAN PAHAT PADA VARIASI DIAMETER MATA BOR BENCH DRILL IXION BT 25

    This research is a test method carried out on the IXION BT 25 bench drill machine which has been developed using a cooling system. After the drill process is carried out on the test object, the drill chisel is measured for tool wear using a digital microscope measuring instrument.From the results of the measurement of drill chisel wear, it is obtained that a drill diameter of 8 mm results a tool wear of 0.3608 microns, a drill diameter of 12 mm brings a tool wear of 0.0540 microns. Whereas, a drill diameter of 17 mm results a tool wear of 0.1030 microns and a drill diameter of 23 mm brings a tool wear of 0.0108 microns. From these results, tool wear that occurs in the drilling process using the coolant developed on the IXION BT 25 bench drill machine will decrease with the larger the drill diameter. From the correlation analysis, it is found th at the relationship between drill diameter and tool wear tends to be very close with a correlation coefficient of 0.78467 and shows that the drill diameter and tool wear have opposite directions. Keywords: Chisel Wear, Drill Bit Diameter, Bench Drill Machine IXIO

    Heat Exchanger is equipment used to carry out the heat exchange process due to the difference in temperature of two types of fluids that flow but do not mix. In the Unsrat Mechanical Engineering laboratory there is a Shell and Tube type heat exchanger that has not been used for practical activities for a long time because it has been damaged. This study aims to revitalize and calculate the efficiency of the heat exchanger so that it can be used in practical activities in the Mechanical Engineering laboratory of Unsrat.               At the beginning of this research activity, it was found that several components were damaged, such as a malfunctioning hot water circulation pump, capacitor components and diodes on the power supply panel that experienced a short circuit and an incomplete thermometer. Then made repairs and modifications and replacement of several components.               After the heat exchanger is deemed to be functioning properly, then further testing is carried out to determine the efficiency value. The results of calculations and data processing obtained efficiency of 74.38%. This provides information that the revitalization of the heat exchanger is successful and can be used as a test tool in practical activities in the Mechanical Engineering laboratory of Unsrat. Keywords: Heat exchanger, Revitalization, Shell and Tub

    In a metal cutting process, especially a lathe that can cut the workpiece into the desired product, it is generally done with dry machining (without using cooling media). This is done because to reduce the cost of machining is done. (Rochim, 2007) The purpose of this study was to obtain the effect of dry lathe machining on electric motor power by varying the spindle rotation. The method used in this study is the test method on the KNUT 1000 A lathe in the Unsrat Mechanical Engineering Laboratory. The results of this study indicate that the spindle rotation speed is increased from 300 rpm to 1600 rpm, the electric motor power increases from 1216 W to 1794 W, so that dry lathe machining affects the use of electric motor power with varying spindle rotation

    This study aimed to calculate and analyze the value of cost-benefit NaOH injection on cooling tower basin GPP unit 5 and 6 in the Lahendong geothermal area.  Population of this study was worker (GPP), work partners and management (PGE). Analysis techniques used is cost benefit analysis. The result of the study showed that NaOH injection on cooling tower basin GPP unit 5 and 6 has impact routine expenses issued by company for the purchase NaOH because injection done every day to keep pH value on cooling tower basin GPP according to standard HSSE 5,5 - 7. The costs were not direct is building constructions to supplies NaOH reserve, coatings basin, and delivery expense. The result of the calculation cost-benefit analysis NaOH injection on cooling tower basin GPP unit 5 and 6 in the Lahendong geothermal area for 3 years investment and the operational as follows: (1)Benefit Cost Ratio (BCR) reach 1,2025697 > 0, (2)Net Benefit Margin (NBM) reach Rp. 337.955.950 > 0.
