ENABLING KINDEGARTEN CHILDREN OF RAUDATUL ATFAL AL-IKHLAS DUYU TO MEMORIZE ENGLISH WORDS THROUGH DRAWING AND COLORING
Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengukur keefektifan metode menggambar dan mewarnai pada kemampuan anak-anak RaudatulAtfal Al-Ikhlas Duyu dalam menghafal kata-kata bahas aInggris. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam quasi eksperimen, non ekuivalen control grup dan uji-t dalam pengujian statistiknya. Sampel group yang diuji adalah grup eksperimen yang diberikan perlakuan metode menggambar dan mewarnai dan grup control diajarkan dengan cara biasa dalam pembelajarannya. Intstrumen data yang dipakai adalah test dan observasi. Tes digunakan sebagai acuan dasar pengujian, sedangkan lembar observasi hanya sebagai data penunjang hasil dari test. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji-t SPSS dan metode deskripsi. Data yang didapatkan diolah dan dianalisa menggunakan SPSS 16.0, sedangkan observasi ceklis dijelaskan secara deskripsi. Berdasarkan analisis data, perbandingan hasil pengujian hipotesis post-test eksperimen grup dan control grup memperlihatkan bahwa nilai rata-rata dari grup eksperimen adalah 73.23 lebih besar dari pada nilai rata-rata dari group control yaitu 47.61. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil tes antara group yang diberikan perlakuan. Dari hasil perhitungan di dapatkan t-hitung 16.383 dengan level signifikan yang lebih besar dari t-table 1.714, ini berarti bahwa nul hypothesis (Ho) ditolak dan hipothesis alternative (Ha) diterima. PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN MENULIS PUISI MELALUI TEKNIK MIND MAP SISWA KELAS VIIA SMP NEGERI 1 PARIGI KABUPATEN PARIGI MOUTONG
Abstract The problem in this study were: 1) How was the application of mind mapping technique in teaching poetry writing skill of VIIa grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Parigi?, And 2) Did the use of mind mapping techniques can enhance the creativity of writing poetry as an expression of feeling of VIIa grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Parigi ? It was a classroom action research that consisting of 2 cycles. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Parigi, class VIIa with 32 students. In this study, the data collection techniques used observation, questionnaire and achievement test and the data analysis was descriptive and qualitative analysis. The results of the research and the analysis could be obtaine as follows: Increasing the ability of the students in write poetry in the first cycle reached an average of 64.16 increased to 87.28 in the second cycle. The conclusions drawn in this study was learning by applying the mind mapping technique improved the ability to write poetry of VIIa grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Parigi. DEVELOPING WRITING SKILL OF EFL LEARNERS AT THE ACCOUNTING DEPARTMENT STIE PANCA BHAKTI PALU THROUGH PROCESS-BASED WRITING
Penelitian ini dirancang sebagai penelitian tindakan kelas secara kolaboratif. Peneliti dan kolaborator bekerja sama dalam melaksanakan perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan observasi dan refleksi selama penelitian. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa EFL Jurusan Akuntansi (AK1) di semester I tahun akademik 2015/2016. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 24 siswa. Peneliti adalah dosen bahasa Inggris yang mengajar bahasa Inggris di kelas AK1 ini. Dia memilih kelas ini sebagai subjek penelitian karena mahasiswa di kelas ini merasa sulit untuk mengembangkan ide-ide ke dalam paragraf deskriptif. Penelitian tindakan kelas dilakukan dalam dua siklus dimana setiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Setiap siklus terdiri dari tiga pertemuan. Pertemuan pertama difokuskan pada pra-menulis dan penyusunan, pertemuan kedua difokuskan pada merevisi, dan pertemuan ketiga adalah editing dan penerbitan. Data dikumpulkan melalui lembar observasi dan catatan lapangan, skema dan kinerja menulis mahasiswa selama pelaksanaan tindakan. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa strategi menulis berbasis proses efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis mahasiswa dalam paragraf deskriptif. Efek dari strategi ini didukung oleh persentase klasik mahasiswa dari 13 mahasiswa (52%) yang mendapat nilai sama dengan atau lebih besar dari 70 pada siklus 1 menjadi 21 mahasiswa (84%) yang mendapat nilai sama dengan atau lebih besar dari 70 dalam siklus 2. Selain itu, proses berbasis proses sebagai strategi pengajaran dalam keterampilan menulis mengajar efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis mahasiswa
PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN MENGAPRESIASI UNSUR INTRINSIK CERPEN MENGGUNAKAN METODE PEMBELAJARAN INKUIRI SISWA KELAS IX A SMP NEGERI 5 BIROMARU
Improving learning outcomes students is indication of improving students competence the resulted of observation was in IX A SMP Negeri 5 Biromaru found that the learning outcomes of students did not achieve KKM, the average student achievement score is 57,4% from 25 students, there is a student that achieve score completeness or 4% the objective of this research described that the used of inquiry method for improving students competence and activity of teaching learning process by the students and the teacher. This research applied qualitatif research through classroom action research (CAR). The researcher was helped by an indonesian teacher as a observer. It applied in SMP Negeri 5 Biromaru. The sample of this research was IX A ( first semester 2015/2016) which consisted of 25 students (16 female and 9 male students). Technique of data collections through worksheet, observation, student journal and interview. The resulted of using inquiry method is able to improve students competence in apreciation of intrinstic elements of short story. Learning outcomes of student in cycle I (first meeting) 62,1 with enough category and (second meeting) 68,7 with enough category. So, the average score in cycle I is 62,1% with enough category. The learning outcomes in cycle II (first meeting) 71,6 with good category. And (second meeting) 82,9 with good category. So, the average score in cycle II is 77,3% with good category. The teaching learning process is good and fluent way. It is able to change students activities from less antusiasm into more antusiasm in teaching process. It also effected to wake up student diligently and carefully to do an exercise. The teaching learning process that conducted by the teacher in cycle (I) is 68,8% with enough category and in cycle (II) is 87,5% with very good category. It means the students improved until 17,7%. The teaching learning process that conducted by the students in cycle (I) is 62,5% and in cycle (II) is 81,3% with good category, it means the student improved until 18,8%. INTERFERENSI BAHASA BUGIS TERHADAP PENGGUNAAN BAHASA INDONESIA DI PASAR TRADISIONAL DESA SIOYONG KABUPATEN DONGGALA
The title of this research “The Interference of Buginese to the using Indonesian Language In the Sioyong Traditioal Market Donggala Regency”, the problem of this reearch is (1). How is the Buginese Interference form to the using indonesian language in the sioyong traditional market of Donggala regency, (2). What are the cause interference of buginese factors to the using indonesian language in the sioyong traditional market donggala regency happen. The purpose of this research are : (1) To describe the cause interference of buginese factors to the using indonesian language in the Sioyong traditional market donggala regency happen. The data accumulation was done by some of the techniques. There are: (1) Observation, (2) Interview, (3) Documentation, and (4) Fieldwork notes. There are two sources data. They are primary and secondary data. The method that used in this analysis data is descriptive qualitative method and the data analysis technique was done by (1) Data Accumulation, (2) Data reduction, (3) Data presentation steps (4) concluding step. According of this research could take the some of concludes: the interference happening at : (1). Phonology Interference is the changes of phonem /o/ to be /u/, Phonemes /e/ be /i/, the missing of Phoneme /e/, /h/ and /k/ (2). Morphology interference, (a) affixation interference; is the prefix {pem-} be {pen-}, {pe-} be {pa-}, {ter-} be {ta-}, the using of enclitic {-pi}and {-kik}, and (b) lexical Interference are verb interference, noun interference, adjective interference, question word interference, and numeral word interference. IMPROVING STUDENTS’ READING COMPREHENSION IN MIXED-ABILITY CLASS OF THE SEVENTH GRADE SMPN 1 MEPANGA THROUGH THINK-ALOUD STRATEGY
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman bacaan deskriptif bagi siswa kelas VII di SMPN 1 Mepanga melalui strategi think-aloud. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII yang terdiri dari 26 orang. Pada tahun pelajaran 2014/2015. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksaan tindakan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dari hasil lembar pengamatan, catatan lapangan guru dan tes. Hasil dari lembar pengamatan dan catatan lapangan guru menunjukkan bahwa siswa memiliki motivasi yang tinggi dan aktif berparrtisipasi dalam kegiatan di kelas. Hasil test dari ke dua siklus menunjukkan bahwa think-aloud efektif meningkatkan pemahaman bacaan siswa. Sebagai bukti ditunjukkan pada siklus pertama bahwa 15 siswa (57.69%) berhasil melalui tes bacaan dan 11 siswa (42.31%) belum berhasil. Terdapat peningkatan hasil yang memuaskan pada siklus kedua dimana 23 siswa (88.46%) dinyatakan berhasil dan hanya 3 siswa (11.54%) yang tidak berhasil mencapai kriteria kesuksesan. Karena 88.46% siswa yang berhasil mencapai kriteria kesuksesan maka disimpulkan bahwa strategi think-aloud efektif meningkatkan pemahaman bacaan siswa. KAJIAN PSIKOLOGIS PERWATAKAN TOKOH NOVEL PADA SEBUAH KAPAL KARYA NH. DINI DAN IMPLIKASINYA DALAM PENGAJARAN SASTRA DI SMP
Abstract The research aimed to describe the psychological aspects of the character in the novel Pada Sebuah Kapal (PSK) and their implications of literature teaching in junior high students. This research was a descriptive research using character psychoanalysis and psychology approach with descriptive methods and strategies of content analysis. The research procedure conducted by step of procurement of data through the determination of the unit of analysis, then the data recording process of inference and analysis. Data analysis was carried out through the following activities: (1) reducing the data, (2) study the data, (3) verification of the data, (4) checks the validity of the data through researchers perseverance technique. The results of research showed the evidence that: (1) there were two character figures depicted in PSK novel such as flat dispositive (Flat character) and round dispositive (round character), (2) the psychological aspects were revealed in PSK novel that character figures was influenced by childhood and firmly held view of life, selfish and rude character affects the pair life, (3) the behavior of children who were too spoiled would have a negative impact, causing the attitude and behavior of the selfish and rude. The bad temper carried the psychological burden, and (4) the content of PSK novel charge was mostly a reflection of the author's life experience, Nh. Dini. The results of the research have implications for literature teaching in junior high school. Proved that the PSK novel contained the elements of beauty (dulce) and useful (utile) therefore PSK novel deserved to be one choice for junior high school students in studying literature. Through knowledge of the nature of the character in PSK novel, the students could learn a person's personality as one of the competencies that were able to develop a personality and add insight into humanity involving a core element of literary appreciation namely cognitive, emotive and evaluative. PENERAPAN METODE SQ4R DALAM MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MEMBACA INTENSIF PADA SISWA KELAS IV SD INPRES KALUKUBULA
The objective of this research is to describe the application of SQ4R Strategy in reading intensive and to improve reading intensive skill at fourth grade students of SD Inpres Kalukubula. Kind of this research classroom action research which implemented at fourth grade student of SD Inpres Kalukubula. This research is adopting a model whish developed by Kemmis through classroom action research planning which implemented by a cycle that is planning, implementing, observation, and reflection. Basd on the result of this research, it is known that SQ4R Method can improve at the fourth grade srudents of SD Inpres Kalukubula in reading intensive. The Result obtained at the cycle 1 that is in the sentence logical aspect of cycle 1 is 33,33% and there is in the cycle II is 85,71%. Accuracy aspect of main sentence which found at the cycle I is 57,14 and cycle II is 90,47%. Aspect of sequence sentence in the paragraph at the cycle I is 42,85 a nd in the cycle II is 85,71%. Aspect of compability sentence with the content of the text at the cycle I is 61,90% and in the cycle II is 85,71%. The comparison of the test result at the cycle I and cycle II can be seen is enough significance, except at the logical unsure of sentence. There is an improvement at the result of the student learning at fourth grade student of SD Inpres Kalukubula had done reading of intensive learning with using SQ4R method with the theme “ visiting an orphanage” at the cycle I and the theme “ school coperation” at the cycle II. The students completeness percentage in intensive reading in cycle I achieve 19,04%, with the average score is 69 and less from the standard of completeness which decided that is 70. At the cycle Ii the percentage comleteness happen an improvement tobe 76,19% with the average score is 83,9 and it had complete standard of completeness which decided. The improvement which happen can be seen from the result which obtained that is the percentage is too improve from cycle I to the cycle II
IMPROVING SPEAKING SKILL OF GRADE X STUDENTS OF SMAN 2 PALU THROUGH INFORMATION GAP ACTIVITY
Penelitian ini di rancang sebagai penelitian tindakan kelas yang di laksanakan secara kolaboratif dalam rencana pembelajaran, mengimplementasikan tindakan, mengamati efek tindakan, dan merefleksi hasil tindakan. Penelitian ini di laksanakan dalam 2 siklus. Tiap siklus terdiri dari 3 pertemuan. Kegiatan melengkapi informasi di terapkan sebagai strategi untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa inggris. Subjek penelitian adalah 36 siswa kelas sepuluh di SMAN 2 Palu. Untuk mengukur kemampuan siswa dalam berbahasa inggris, tes berbicara di lakukan. Hasil siklus 1 menunjukkan bahwa 17 siswa atau 47% dinyatakan lulus dan 19 siswa atau 53% dinyatakan gagal. Rencana diubah pada siklus 2. Kemudian, hasilnya meningkat menjadi 29 siswa atau 80% dinyatakan lulus dan 7 siswa atau 20% dinyatakan gagal. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa penerapan kegiatan melengkapi informasi memberikan solusi terhadap masalah siswa dalam bahasa inggris. UPAYA MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MENULIS SURAT PRIBADI DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN TEKNIK PEMODELAN SISWA KELAS V SD KARYA THAYYIBAH MAMBORO
The research problems were (1) how was the improving increase in the ability to write a personal letter using modeling techniques of the fifth grade students work at SD Tayyibah Mamboro Palu (2) how was the result of improvement in the ability of personal letter by using modeling techniques of the fifth grade students work at SD Tayyibah Mamboro Palu. The objectiveof this resrsearh was to describe the increase in the ability to write a personal letter using modeling techniques of the fifth grade students work at SD Tayyibah Mamboro Palu and describe the results of an increase in the ability to write a personal letter using techniques of the fifth grade students work at SD Tayyibah Mamboro Palu. This research used qualitative approach and the type of research was a classroom action research. Data collected by observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the research findings, it was showed that the use modeling techniques could improve the ability of students to write a personal letter. It was found out an increase in the number of students who have chieved the criteria of succes from the first cycle to the second cycle. Furthermore, there were an increase in the value average of writing a personal letter from the first cycle to the second cycle. In the pre-cyle stage, only 23% of students who achieved mastery learning, whereas in the first cycle after the implementation of modeling techniques as 54% of students who completed the criteria of succes, it was indicated that the learning outcomes have increased by 31%. Moreover, in the second cycle the students who have completed was 77% indicated that the number of students who achieve the criteria of succes increased to 10 from 13 students. Classically, the percentage between the first cycle and second cycle increased into 23 23%. Keywords: Writing, Personal Letters, Modeling Techniques
