PENERAPAN METODE BERMAIN PERAN UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MENYIMAK ISI CERITA RAKYAT BAGI SISWA KELAS V SD INPRES 1 PARANGGI KECAMATAN AMPIBABO
Scrutinize learning is listening proses of oral symbols expressly and carefully and also with understanding, apreciation, interpretation, reaction, and evaluation to get a message, information, content and the meaning in there. The problem formula of this research are (1) how is the application role play method to improve ability in scrutinize content folklore at fifth grade students of SD Inpres 1 Paranggi Kecamatan Ampibabo? (2) how is the improvement result of application role play method to improve ability in scrutinize content folklore at fifth grade students of SD Inpres 1 Paranggi Kecamatan Ampibabo?. this research has aim to (1) describe application role play method to improve ability in scrutinize content folklore at fifth grade students of SD Inpres 1 Paranggi Kecamatan Ampibabo, (2) describing result of application role play method to improve ability in scrutinize content folklore at fifth grade students of SD Inpres 1 Paranggi Kecamatan Ampibabo. This research has two cycles, each of cycle has implemented two meetings in the class and each cycle consist of four steps, there are planning, implementing, observation and reflection. The indicator of individual achievement is 67% and the classical completeness is 80%. The assesment component of scrutinize folklore that is accuracy to telling the content of story, accuracy analysis of character in a story, writing the background of the story which listened and conclude the content of story. Based on the poduct, the improvement of students scrutinize ability can be seen based on the data analysis of improvement students scrutinizing. He result of cycle 1, individual completeness achieve 65,5% and classical comleteness 71,4%. Result of the research at cycle II had a significance improvement, individual completeness achieve 80,95% and classical completeness achieve 100%. Therefore, it can be concluded that learning with role play method can improve scrutinize ability of folklore content story at the fifth grade students of SD Inpres 1 Paranggi, Kecamatan Ampibabo
THE IMPACT OF GQS (GENERATING QUESTION STRATEGY) TOWARDS STUDENTS’ READING COMPREHENSION ACHIEVEMENT ON ENGLISH SUBJECT AT SMPN 1 BUNTA
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji pengaruh strategi menghasilkan/membuat pertanyaan terhadap pencapain pemahamanbacaan siswa pada pelajaran bahasa inggris. Penelitian ini mengaplikasikan metode penelitian quasi eksperimental dengan desain control grup non-equivalent. Populasi dari penelitian ini berjumlah 134 siswa kelas IX di SMPN 1 Bunta yang tersebar di 6 kelas paralel. Sampel dari penelitian ini dipilih berdasarkan teknik purposive sampling yang mana terdapat 2 kelas yang dipilih secara sengaja sebagai kelompok experimen dan kelompok kontrol. Kelas IX A sebagai kelompok eksperimen sedang kelas IX E sebagai kelompok kontrol. Penelitian ini berlangsung selama sepuluh pertemuan. Data dikumpulkan melalui test. Pre dan post test. Data juga dianalisa dengan mengaplikasikan formula t test. Berdasarkan analisa data, hasil dari data ini mengindikasikan bahwa pengaplikasian strategi menghasilkan/membuat pertanyaan telah mengatasi permasalahan siswa. Setelah dianalisa, hasil dari t-hitung adalah 4.391. Dengan derajat kebebasan 40, dan tingkat signifikansi 0,05, nilai dari t-tabel adalah 1.683. Oleh karena itu, nilai dari t-hitung lebih tinggi dari t-tabel. Itu artinya, hipotesa dari penelitian ini dapat diterima. Terbukti bahwa strategi menghasilkan/membuat pertanyaan memiliki pengaruh terhadap pencapaian pemahaman bacaan siswa pada pelajaran bahasa Inggris di SMPN 1 Bunta dan dapat menyelesaikan semua masalah siswa dalam memahami bacaan teks narasi. IMPROVING READING COMPREHENSION ON NARRATIVE TEXT TO GRADE XI STUDENTS OF MA MUHAMMADIYAH PALU THROUGH VIDEO
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperbaiki pemahaman siswa terhadap bacaan teks jenis naratif. Sebelumnya, peneliti menemukan masalah pada sikap siswa dalam membaca teks jenis naratif; nilai sebagian siswa masih rendah pada teks jenis ini. Oleh karena itu, peneliti berinisiatif menggunakan video dengan teks sebagai media untuk memperbaiki pemahaman membaca siswa kelas XI MA Muhammadiyah Palu pada teks naratif. Penelitian ini dirancang sebagai penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan melalui dua siklus. Kriteria keberhasilan dalam penelitian ini adalah ketika 80% dari siswa mencapai kriteria ketuntasan minimal ≥ 75. Pada siklus pertama terdapat 68.18% siswa yang mencapai kriteria ketuntasan minimal ≥75. Pada siklus kedua, terjadi peningkatan sikap siswa terhadap pembelajaran dan hasil tes menunjukkan persentase siswa yang mencapai kriteria ketuntasan minimal adalah 86.36%, artinya hasil pembelajaran telah melewati kriteria sukses penelitian. Kesimpulannya, menggunakan video dengan teks dalam mengajar meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap teks naratif
DEVELOPING WRITING DECRIPTIVE PARAGRAPH OF THE GRADE VII STUDENTS OF SMP NEGERI 15 PALU THROUGH CONTEXTUAL TEACHING AND LEARNING
Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan keterampilan menulis paragraph deskriptif siswa kelas VII A pada SMP Negeri 15 Palu melalui Pengajaran dan Pembelajaran Kontekstual. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII A SMP Negeri 15 Palu. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, obeseravsi dan refleksi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari tiga pertemuan. Untuk setiap pertemuan dalam proses belajar mengajar terdiri dari tiga tahapan yakni: kegiatan awal, kegiatan inti dan kegiatan akhir. Pertemuan pertama dan kedua difokuskan pada penjelasan materi paragraf deskriptif dan pertemuan ketiga difokuskan pada evaluasi. Data penelitian diperoleh dari hasil lembar observasi, lembar catatan dan test. Pembelajaran begitu menyenangkan karena siswa dapat menjelaskan benda yang ada disekitar mereka. Hasil test indidvidu pada siklus 1 adalah sebanyak 19 siswa mencapai kriteria ketuntasan atau presentasi ketuntasan sebesar 54,28%. Pada siklus 2 sebanyak 27 siswa mencapai kriteria ketuntasan. Persentasi ketuntasan mencapai 77,14%. Nilai rata-rata keseluruhan adalah 75,42. hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran dan pengajaran kontekstual efektif untuk mengembangkan menulis paragraf deskriptif siswa. IMPROVING LISTENING SKILLS OF GRADE XI STUDENTS OF MADRASAH ALIYAH NEGERI 2 MODEL PALU THROUGH MONOLOGUE
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengukur peningkatan kemampuan mendengar siswa kelas XI Agama 2 Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Model Palu melalui monolog. Teknik penelitian yang digunakan dalam mengatasi masalah tersebut adalah monolog. Sampel penelitian dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, Dimana peneliti sengaja memilih kelas XI Agama 2 siswa Madrasah Aliyah negeri 2 Model Palu. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes. Tes dibagi menjadi 2; pre-test dan post-test, Berdasarkan hasilpre-test dan post-test peneliti menemukan bahwa t-hitung adalah 7,98. Dengan menerapkan 0,05 signifikansi dan 28 derajat kebebasan (df), peneliti menemukan bahwa t-table adalah 1.701. ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai t-hitung lebih tinggi dari t-table. Ini berarti bahwa hipotesis penelitian diterima. Dengan kata lain, Keterampilan mendengarkan siswa kelas XI Agama 2 Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Model Palu dapat ditingkatkan melalui monolog
IMPROVING LISTENING COMPREHENSION OF GRADE X STUDENTS OF SMAK GPID SUMBERSARI THROUGH SHORT STORIES
Abstract This classroom action research was conducted to improve listening comprehension of grade X students of SMAK GPID Sumbersari through short stories. The subjects of action were 17 students of class X IPA of SMAK GPID Sumbersari. This research had two cycles. There were four meetings in cycle 1 and two meetings in cycle 2. The material was narrative text. The qualitative data were taken from the observation sheets, field notes, and questionnaire and the quantitative data were taken from test 1 and test 2. The researcher found that most of the students were still confused when they listened to the short stories from the recorder since they were accustomed to listening to short stories dictation by their own teacher not listening directly from the recorder, but then they more concerned and looked more enthusiastic so they could understand the short stories that they heard from the recorder. Observation sheet and questionnaire results indicate that they were happy to interact with their friends in group. The researcher found that in cycle 1, there were 11 or 64.71 percent students who were successful with the test and 6 students or 35.29 percent students who were not successful yet. After reflecting the researcher revised the plan based on three aspects: preparation, time management, and action. In cycle 2, there were 15 or 88.24 percent students who were successful and 2 students or 11.76 percent were not successful. Both the percentages indicate that there were enhancements of the students who succeed in cycle 1 of reaching KKM (70) eventually increased in cycle 2. Thus, it is concluded that this technique is effective to be applied to students’ listening comprehension. Keywords: Improving, Listening Comprehension and Short Storie
KESANTUNAN BERBAHASA KEPALA SEKOLAH DASAR INPRES KOTARINDAU DALAM SITUASI FORMAL
The objective of this research is to describe Language behavioring of the head master at SD Inpres Kotarindau in formal situation, it is include (1) behavioring form of the head master at SD Inpres Kotarindau in formal situation, (2) behavioring strategy of the head master at SD Inpres Kotarindau in formal situation. The approach which used in this research is prakmatik approach. The method which used is qualitative descriptive method. The data accumulation is done by two techniques, they are (1) recording and (2) observation. The data analysis technique in this research is interactive model. The analysis in this research include four steps, they are (1) data accumulation, (2) data of reduction, (3) serving of data, (4) verification or take a concluding. The result of this research consist of (1) behavioring form in invitation, (2) behavioring form in requesting, (3) behavioring form in wish, (4) behavioring form in attitude, (5) behavioring form in advice, and (6) behavioring form in hope. Second, the behavioring function of head master in formal situation include (1) behavioring function of invitation is functioned by invitation and attention, (2) behavioring function of requesting is fuctioned by action and confirmation, (3) behavioring function of hope is functioned by hope, and (4) behavioring function in advice is functioned as a prohibit. Third, the strategy of language behavioring of head master in formal situation include diect strategy and indirect strtegy. TEACHING DEGREES OF COMPARISON TO GRADE VIII STUDENTS AT SMP NEGERI 2 LABUAN THROUGH SIMPLE COMPLETION
Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 2 Labuan dalam menggunakan tingkat perbandingan. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini dilakukan pada siswa kelas VIII B yang berjumlah 30 orang. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus dimana setiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Data-data penelitian ini diperoleh dari proses pengajaran, observasi, catatan lapangan dan hasil tes. Temuan dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tehnik kompilasi sederhana efektif dalam mengembangkan kemampuan siswa dalam menggunakan kalimat tingkat perbandingan. Pada siklus 1, hanya 43% dari jumlah siswa (13 siswa) yang berhasil atau memenuhi skor standar diatas 70, dan 57% dari mereka (17 siswa) gagal atau tidak mencapai kriteria ketuntasan. Kriteria ketuntasan ialah 75% dari keseluruhan jumlah siswa harus memiliki skor diatas 70. Di siklus 2, terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan. Siswa yang mencapai skor standar meningkat dari 43% ke 84.67% (26 siswa). Siswa yang mendapat skor kurang dari 70 menurun dari 57% menjadi 15.33% (4 siswa). Penelitian ini berakhir di siklus 2 karena hasil penlitian mengindikasikan bahawa kriteria ketuntasan, 75% siswa mendapat nilai diatas 70 telah tercapai. TINDAK TUTUR DIREKTIF GURU DAN SISWA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN DI KELAS III SDN TIPO PALU
Language in the class learning activity is communication interaction reality which continuing. The teacher must be able to communicate, and manage the class with well to create learning atmosphere is fun and have the meaning for the student. In this research related with the directive teacher and student speech action. The problem which solved consist 3 matters, there are (1) The form, (2) and, (3) Directive teacher and student speech action strategy in the learning of the third grade student at SDN Tipo Palu ?. this research have the purpose to describe the using of directive action which consist (1) form, (2) function, and (3) Directive teacher and student speech action strategy in the learning of the third grade student at SDN Tipo Palu. The method which using is descriptive qualitative method. The data accumulation was done with two techniques, there are (1) recording and (2) observation. The research subject are teacher and the third grade student at SDN Tipo Palu. Data Analysis technique in this research is interactive model. Analysis in the research include 4 steps, there are (1). Data accumulation, (2) data reduction, (3) data presentation, and (4) verification/conclusion. The result of the research showing that in the larning of third grade student at SDN Tipo Palu, consist at the form : (1) Command, (2) statement, (3) question, (4) requesting, (5) prohibit. The function directive action which found at the result of the research consist by (1) command function, (2) statement function, (3) Question Function, (4) requesting function, and (5) Prohibit function. There are (1) command function is to do the other people to do something which desired. (2) statement function is functioned as give an information to the opponent speech. (3) the function of question sentence is to request the answer like an explanation to exhume an information, to clarify, or confirm. (4) request function is to request or prohibit someone to doing something. (5) the function of prohibit sentence is to prohibit people or a group of people to not doing something. The strategy which using in the directive action consist by direct strategy and indirect strategy. Directive speech strategy which many shows is speech action directive direct strategy. There is the speech action directive indirect at this research in the learning process of the third grade student at SDN Tipo Palu only two strategies, there are statement strategy and prohibit strategy, are (1) indirect strategy in the question, and (2) indirect strategy in the prohibit. There is direct strategy consist of : (1) direct strategy in the command, (2) strategy in the statement, (3) direct strategy in the question, (4) direct strategy in the requesting, and (5) direct strategy in the prohibit.
PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN MEMBACA CEPAT MELALUI PENERAPAN METODE GERAK MATA SISWA KELAS XII IPA A SMA KARUNA DIPA PALU
Abstract This study aims to 1) describe the application of eye movement methods to improve students 'ability to read quickly class XII A Science Major Students of SMA Karuna Dipa Palu, 2) describe the results of conversation eye movement methods to improve students' ability in read quickly Class XII A Science Major Students of SMA Karuna Dipa Palu. This research was classroom action research with the subject of this research were students Class XII A Science Major Students of SMA Karuna Dipa Palu. This research conducted in two cycles, the results show, that 1) the application of the method of eye movements on student learning reading quickly Class XII A Science Major Students of Karuna Dipa Palu. Based on the student activity observation in cycle 1 was (66.15%) and teacher observation activities ( 66.67%) in cycle II has been increased, the observation of student activities was (87.69%) while the observation of teacher was very satisfying activity (91.66%). 2) the results of the application of eye movement methods in study reading quickly class XII A Science Major Student of SMA Karuna Dipa Palu, could be seen in the results of the test reading quickly cycle 1 average of speed reading and understanding the contents were 332 wpm of 76.60. In cycle 2 students' reading speed increased 341 wpm and the students understanding about the contents in average percentage was 90.40, 82.60%. Thus, this classroom action research shows, that the application of eye movement methods can improve students' ability to read quickly. Keywords: Ability in Reading Quickly, Method of Eye Movement
