Social Media Da\u27wah Literacy on the West Java Saber Hoaks Program
Hoax or false information is a problem and one of the impacts of the unwise use of social media. The spread of hoaxes on social media can potentially break the unity and trigger religious conflict. In response to these problems, West Java Saber Hoaks was formed to suppress and prevent the spread of hoaxes on social media. The purpose of this study is to reveal: (1) Jabar Saber Hoaks\u27 efforts in preventing hoaxes; and (2) literacy of social media da\u27wah by Jabar Saber Hoaks. This study uses a case study method with a qualitative approach. Based on the study results, the following findings were obtained: (1) There were four efforts made by West Java Saber Hoaks to prevent hoaxes, namely opening a complaint service and monitoring content that has the potential to be a hoax, clarifying information, and providing literacy. (2) Social media da\u27wah literacy by West Java Saber Hoaks is carried out using preventive measures and information verification. From the results of this study, there are significant and recommendations, namely: (1) There is a need for mainstreaming social media literacy. (2) There is a need for preventive da\u27wah efforts on social media to ward off hoax information.Hoaks atau false information merupakan problematika dan salah satu dampak yang ditimbulkan dari penggunaan media sosial yang kurang bijak. Penyebaran hoaks di media sosial dapat berpotensi memecah persatuan dan memicu konflik keagamaan. Menyikapi persmasalahan tersebut, Jabar Saber Hoaks dibentuk untuk menekan dan menangkal penyebaran hoaks di media sosial. Tujuan dari studi ini ialah untuk mengungkap: (1) Upaya Jabar Saber Hoaks dalam menangkal hoaks; dan (2) Literasi dakwah media sosial oleh Jabar Saber Hoaks. Studi ini menggunakan metode studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil studi, didapatkan temuan berikut: (1) Ada empat upaya yang dilakukan Jabar Saber Hoaks dalam menangkal hoaks, yaitu membuka layanan aduan, memantau konten yang beprotensi hoaks, mengklarifikasi informasi dan memberikan literasi. (2) Literasi dakwah media sosial oleh Jabar Saber Hoaks dilakukan dengan cara upaya preventif dan verifikasi informasi. Dari hasil studi ini ada signifikasi dan rekomendasi, yaitu: (1) Perlu adanya mainstreaming literasi media sosial. (2) Perlu adanya uapaya dakwah preventif di media sosial untuk menangkal informasi hoaks
Da\u27wah and Democracy: Actualization of the Role of Religion in State Behavior
This study aims to analyze the role of da\u27wah as the actualization of the role of religion in democratic behavior. Specifically, the research is focused on exploring the actualization of Islamic values in democratic behavior in Indonesia. The researcher tries to describe the dimensions of state da\u27wah, especially its relation to democracy. This research was conducted with a qualitative approach through a literature study. The results show that the existence of a state (daula) in people\u27s lives is an essential entity to build a collective moral order. The role of religion supports Islamic da\u27wah activism, which is carried out both with a cultural and structural approach. Islamic da\u27wah activities are carried out to control democratic behavior in the administration of a country\u27s government. State da\u27wah activities are carried out to embody Amar maruf nahi munkar. Efforts to implement Islamic da\u27wah in applying the principles of state democracy must function as a social control over state administrators to always pay attention to the mandate of their leadership
Da\u27wah Patterns in Developing Religious Harmony in Semarang City
This study aims to find the format of the pattern of developing religious harmony and the role of government and religious leaders in creating a conducive situation in Semarang. The research uses a qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The results of this study indicate that the city of Semarang consists of various tribes, religions, and ethnicities, the people have a high sense of tolerance. This is due to the community\u27s spiritual condition and the mindset of an advanced society due to many universities. Communication and cooperation are well established between government figures, religious leaders, and community leaders in various community harmony forums and organizations such as Petamas and FKUB. The forum can be used as a medium for dialogue. From the researcher\u27s analysis, harmonization in religious harmony is influenced by activities that create and touch a sense of togetherness and affection. The pattern of social da\u27wah is an alternative in building tolerance and harmonization over the plurality of society
Critical Discourse Analysis of the Role of Mass Media in the Cancellation Policy of Hajj Pilgrims during the Pandemic
This study aims to reveal the role of the media in disseminating information regarding the cancellation of the departure of pilgrims from the critical discourse dimensions. Therefore, this research method uses Critical Discourse Analysis from Norman Fairclough. The results of this study indicate that the role of the media in the cancellation policy of Hajj pilgrims in 2021 consists of three essential things. First, the media sided with the news content about the cancellation of the hajj based on norms by the law and various derivative regulations. Second, the mainstream media group has its concept in understanding how to disseminate the information so that it can become a public discourse and understand the public after being back on the mainstream media stage. Third, the media behaves like a ‘pendulum’ that can go back and forth to contribute to "orchestrating" the public discourse in this context regarding the cancellation of the departure of the pilgrims.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap peranan media dalam menyebarluaskan informasi mengenai pembatalan keberangkatan jamaah haji dilihat dari dimensi-dimensi wacana kritis. Oleh karena itu metode penelitian ini menggunakan Analisis Wacana Kritis dari Norman Fairclough. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa peranan media dalam kebijakan pembatalan jemaah haji tahun 2021 terdiri dari tiga hal penting. Pertama, media berpihak pada konten pemberitaan tentang pembatalan haji berdasarkan pada norma yang sesuai dengan undang-undang dan berbagai peraturan turunannya. Kedua, kelompok media arus utama memiliki konsep tersendiri dalam memahami cara menyebarluaskan informasi sehingga dapat menjadi wacana publik, namun sekaligus dapat memahamkan publik setelah kembali dimainkan di panggung media arus utama. Ketiga, media berperilaku sebagai bandul pendulum yang dapat bolak-balik berkontribusi dalam “mengorkestrakan†wacana publik dalam konteks ini tentang pembatalan pemberangkatan jemaah haji.    Â
Historical Review of Ulama and Umara’ Relations and Its Implications for Islamic Da’wah
This study seeks to analyze the relationship between ulama and umara\u27 and their implications for Islamic da\u27wah. The research was conducted by exploring historical and empirical sources related to the relationship between the ulama and umara\u27 past and present which is reflected in the various political thoughts and policies of the ulama and umara\u27. The data was collected through observation and literature study while the data were analyzed using a descriptive qualitative approach. The results of the study show that historically the relationship between ulama and umara\u27 occurred dynamically. During the past Islamic empires, the relationship between ulama and umara\u27 was collaborative and even integrative. While in later times the relationship between ulama and umara\u27 tended to be secularistic-pragmatic. The implication of this integrative relationship is that Islamic da\u27wah can develop rapidly so that Islam becomes the religion of the majority of the Indonesian people. Meanwhile, pragmatic secularistic relations made da\u27wah stagnant due to the weak involvement of umara\u27 in the process of IslamizationPenelitian ini berupaya untuk menganalisis relasi ulama dan umara’ dan implikasiinya bagi dakwah Islam. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggali sumber-sumber historis dan empiris terkait hubungan ulama dan umara’ masa lalu dan saat ini yang tercermin dalam beragam pemikiran dan kebijakan politik ulama dan umara’. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi dan studi pustaka sedangkan data dianalisis dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskripstif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa secara historis relasi ulama dan umara’ terjadi secara dinamis. Pada masa kerajaan Islam masa lalu hubungan ulama dan umara’ terjadi secara kolaboratif bahkan integratif. Sementara pada masa sesudahnya hubungan ulama dan umara’ cenderung sekuleristik-pragmatik. Implikasi dari hubungan integratif adalah dakwah Islam dapat berkembang secara cepat sehingga Islam menjadi agama mayoritas rakyat Indonesia. Sementara hubungan sekuleristik pragmatik membuat dakwah stagnan karena lemahnya keterlibatan umara’ dalam proses islamisasi
Sheikh Burhanuddin\u27s Cultural Da\u27wah System in Minangkabau
This discourse describes Syekh Burhanuddin\u27s cultural da\u27wah system in Minangkabau as one of the classical da\u27wah role models that have taken root and preserved to this day. This study aims to reveal the structure and system of da\u27wah built by Syekh Burhanuddin through a qualitative research method with a historical, descriptive analysis approach. The data collection technique used snowball sampling by taking locations in Ulakan Padang Pariaman, Kenagarian Puluik-Puluik and Kapujan Bayang Pesisir Selatan, Kenagarian Agarng Payung Sekaki, Solok district, and Koto Tangah, Padang City. The research shows that Sheikh Burhanuddin\u27s cultural da\u27wah system is integrated and has a multi-level da\u27wah pattern in the da\u27wah network known as the seven pillars of syattariyyah da\u27wah, including: Syekh Tuo Koto Tuo, Tuanku Qadi in Lubuk Ipuh, Angku Qadi seven Koto (Toboh Karambia), Tuanku Qadhi Koto Gadang, Ampu Sarak in Sintuak, Tuanku Qadi Toboh Gadang, and Tuanku Qadi in Pakandangan. The seven pillars are representative reflections of the modeling of cultural da\u27wah in Minangkabau
Dakwah Patterns and Communication of Student Character Program at Al-Fityan Kubu Raya
This study aims to determine the pattern of da\u27wah and communication used by the Al-Fityan Kubu Raya Foundation in forming students\u27 Akhlaq al-Karimah in established character education programs, both in schools and in dormitories. The research was conducted using a descriptive approach obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation. Based on the data obtained, the da\u27wah pattern carried out by the Al-Fityan Foundation was bi al-lisan (warnings, calls, appeals, and words), bi al-hal (through examples of behavior directly given by educators/mentors), and bi al-arkan (through the rules). Meanwhile, the communication pattern is face-to-face through various learning models, namely: Circular, straight back, and Letter U in the character education mentoring program
The Role of Social Media Da\u27wah in Improving Individual Piety during the Covid 19 Pandemic
This study aims to analyze the use of social media as a da\u27wah platform during the covid 19 pandemic. The research is directed at observing the role of social media da\u27wah in increasing individual piety. This study uses a qualitative approach through descriptive methods. Descriptive research is research whose purpose is to present a complete picture of exploration and clarification of a phenomenon. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and distributing questionnaires via a google form. The subjects in this research are women aged 30-60 years who live in Jakarta and are active social media users. The results show that social media can increase knowledge, sources of information, communication and increase individual piety. The increase in individual piety is marked by the dominance of access to religious content during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, religious content that many users access is related to worship, such as prayer, zakat, infak and alms, fasting, hajj, and reading the Qur\u27an. Individual piety becomes an immunity that strengthens self-confidence and capital in building social piety
Communication of Da\u27wah Nahdlatul Ulama Dawah Institution (LDNU) in Preventing Hoax News
This study aims to find out how the efforts made by LDNU in building public perception to prevent hoax news through the mass media. The research was conducted with a da\u27wah communication approach to build awareness of the phenomenon of hoax news. The research was conducted through a qualitative approach through a meta-analysis of the literature. Meta-analysis is a unique technique used to create an integrative or methodology review. First, LDNU creates social media accounts for news education and control; second, LDNU cooperates with the media and other institutions to narrow the space for slander and hoaxes; third, LDNU continues to use the basis of the ITE Law as a guide in the use of social media. Eight management principles are applied as an integral part in building awareness, perception, knowledge, skills, and social responsibility in preventing the spread of hoax news and other harmful content
Abdurrahman Wahid Structural Da\u27wah Activities
This study aims to see how Gus Dur\u27s da\u27wah activities with the position of President and what da\u27wah policies he made. This qualitative research uses historical methods and documentation as the primary data sources. The results showed that Gus Dur, who served as President from 20 October 1999 to 23 July 2001, was based on a study of policies in the form of laws and regulations he signed, some of which included da\u27wah policies. These da\u27wah policies are related to Muslim worship (Keppres 8/2001, Presidential Decree 97/2000, Presidential Decree 22/2001), human rights (UU 1/2000, Presidential Decree 12/2001, Presidential Instruction 9/2000, Presidential Decree 1/2000, Presidential Decree No. 6/2000, Presidential Decree 69/2000), separatism (Presidential Decree 27/2000, Presidential Decree 75/2000, Presidential Decree 28/2000, Presidential Decree 47/2000), and corruption (PP 19/2000, PP 71/2000). Gus Dur used his power to preach democracy and humanity as the direction of his struggle
