Media Literacy and Involvement of Students of SMK YPC Tasikmalaya in Religious Da\u27wah Movement in Digital Space
The development of digital technology has transformed how students interact and participate in dakwah activities, particularly through social media. This study aims to analyze how media literacy supports the involvement of SMK YPC Tasikmalaya students in digital religious dakwah movements and how pesantren-based education enhances these capabilities. Using qualitative methods and a case study approach, this research collected data through interviews, observations, and documentation of students\u27 digital dakwah activities. The findings indicate that the media literacy program at SMK YPC Tasikmalaya not only equips students with technical skills to access and disseminate information but also instills religious moderation values to counter radicalism and intolerance in digital dakwah. Media literacy developed through the pesantren approach encourages students to become creators of inclusive, peaceful, and relevant dakwah content tailored to digital audiences. The implications of this research highlight the importance of integrating media literacy into religious education curricula to prepare young generations as productive and moderate digital preachers. With these skills, students can actively disseminate tolerant dakwah messages and foster a harmonious digital community rooted in religious values
Cultural Da\u27wah Harmony of Suran Punden Papringan Gede Tradition in Gunung Tugel Purwokerto
This study intends to identify and thoroughly examine the harmony achieved by cultural da\u27wah in the Punden Papringan Gede suran ritual in Gunung Tugel, Purwokerto. The local tradition of suran is a form of cultural knowledge that captures the community\u27s identity and social ideals. The research data was gathered through interviews, document analysis, and observation. An anthropological method to qualitative data analysis is used in this study. The study\u27s findings include: (1) the creation of new traditions through the blending of Islam and local culture; and (2) the harmony of cultural da\u27wah in the suran ritual of Punden Papringan Gede in Gunung Tugel Purwokerto, which is illustrated through a number of events like krigan, tahlilan, selawatan, orphan compensation, tumpengan, and puppets. These ethical values are part of the Suran Papringan Gede tradition on Gunung Tugel Purwokerto: gratitude, prayer requests, unity, relatives, solidarity, and a work ethic. According to the study\u27s results, the cultural da\u27wah approach is one way to preserve the sustainability of regional customs, promote social cohesiveness, and enhance religious and cultural studies. Additionally, this research contributes in developing of an adaptable da\u27wah model which may be employed in various regions with related traditions
Da\u27wah Based Spiritual Counseling: The Urgency of Spirituality Development for Correctional Inmates in Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Kelas I Cirebon
This research was motivated by the trend of the increase of problems experienced by correctional inmates which prompted the need for guidance and counseling services, especially preaching-based spiritual counseling services. Da\u27wah-based spiritual counseling exists as a form of moral and spiritual commitment and responsibility in helping inmates as individuals who need assistance. This research aims to obtain a comprehensive analytical review of preaching-based spiritual counseling in Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Kelas I Cirebon which can be used to develop the spirituality of the correlational inmates. A qualitative research approach was used with library research methods by summarizing various relevant research results regarding spiritual counseling which can be used narratively in developing new theories and complementing previous theories regarding preaching-based spiritual counseling. This research obtained results in the form of an intervention mechanism for preaching-based spiritual counseling services at the Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Kelas I Cirebon to help inmates alleviate emotional suffering and develop spiritual well-being. Da\u27wah-based spiritual counseling in developing the spirituality of the inmates is provided through therapeutic ritual-personal activities which are carried out through five stages, namely centering and grounding, assessment, gathering energy, directing the energy, and gratitude and closure
Commodification Model of Media Da\u27wah on Youtube Channel Yuk Ngaji TV
This study describes the forms of commodification in da\u27wah activities on YouTube media. A YouTube channel called Yuk Ngaji TV has a commodification model for its da\u27wah activities in the media. The target of da\u27wah to teenagers, with a variety of interesting and unique content so as to produce various benefits for Yuk Ngaji TV. This study aims to analyze how the forms of commodification on YouTube media Yuk Ngaji TV. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a semiotic theory approach and media political economy. Data collection through documentation and observation. The results of this study prove that there are various forms of commodification that occur in Yuk Ngaji TV\u27s da\u27wah activities to gain ideological and materialist benefits. Based on the theory of media political economy, there are various forms of commodification carried out, including the content, audience and labor of the Yuk Ngaji TV channel and its religious values. The commodification of the media has implications for the purity of da\u27wah that must be done properly and correctly, not just used to gain material and ideological benefits for a group. The implications of this research can have positive and negative impacts. The negative impact of the commodification of da\u27wah causes the fading of the purpose of da\u27wah rahmatan lil alamin because it focuses on increasing material benefits. While the positive impact on the perpetrators of da\u27wah is the motivation to create a way of da\u27wah that is valuable and attractive to da\u27wah partners
The Intersection of Literature and Da\u27wah: Reflections of The Third-World Muslim Society in V.S. Naipaul\u27s Beyond Belief Islamic Excursions Among The Converted Peoples
This study examines the communities in four countries—Indonesia, Iran, Pakistan, and Malaysia in Beyond Belief: Islamic Excursions Among the Converted Peoples, which portrays Muslim Through the character of "I," who evolves into an authoritative narrator, Naipaul seeks to justify the representations in the narrative as reflections of his own perspective. Despite the often negative depictions of Muslim societies in these countries, Naipaul aims to document aspects of the Muslim community that have remained unrecorded. His efforts to make Islam \u27readable\u27 are evident throughout the work, yet they evoke a sense of powerlessness among those subjected to such portrayals, who are unable to voice their own narratives. From a da’wah studies perspective, the implications of this research lie in critically assessing external narratives that marginalize Muslim voices. By deconstructing these representations, this study highlights the importance of reclaiming an authentic Islamic identity and countering misrepresentations. Furthermore, it invites reflection on how da’wah can respond to external narratives, promoting a more accurate and fair understanding of Islam in a fragmented global society
Respectful Culture as a Model for Gurèe Communication and Da’wah Implementation in Dayah Bireuen Regency
This research aims to analyze the application of the gurèe communication model in building a culture of takzim for students in Bireuen Regency, Aceh Province. This research uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The data collection process was carried out using documentation study tools, observation, field notes, and interviews involving gurèe and dayah students who are involved in gurèe communication. This research involved three dayah in Bireuen Regency as research locations. The research results show that gurèe communication plays an important role in building a culture of respect among dayah students. The gurèe communication model involves a close relationship between the gurèe and the santri, who serve as role models and spiritual guides for the santri. The culture of takzim is the result of the application of the gurèe communication model among dayah students. This culture includes respect for the gurèe, politeness in speaking, humility, and obedience to religious rules and values. The implication of this research is that the gurèe communication model plays an important role in shaping the takzim culture among dayah students. Through communication filled with respect, politeness, and adherence to religious values, the messages conveyed by the gurèe can be well-received and implemented by the santri. This strengthens the bond between the gurèe and the santri and maintains the originality of the message that supports the creation of a sustainable culture of respect in Bireuen Regency
The Relationship of Islamic Values and Sundaneseness in Sundanese Proverbs as Da\u27wah Messages
The values of da\u27wah messages contain the essence of Islamic teachings that must be conveyed to the object of da\u27wah. In the da\u27wah process, a preacher must understand the condition and culture of the thing of his da\u27wah. Culture has a close relationship with Islam. One form of culture developed in Sundanese society is proverb, which can be used as moral messages in da’wah. Because Sundanese proverb are full of noble values of the nation, which are relevant to Islamic values, this study aims to analyze da\u27wah messages in Sundanese proverbs and describe the relationship between Islamic and Sundanese values as da\u27wah messages. The research method used is descriptive analysis. The data were obtained using library research techniques through several stages: heuristics, interpretation criticism, and historiography. The results of this study indicate: First, the values of da\u27wah messages are found in almost all Sundanese proverbs, both in aspects of humans as individual beings and humans as social beings, as well as proverb about human spirituality. Second, the relationship between Islam and Sundanese in the context of Sundanese proverbs containing Islamic values is included in the symbiotic paradigm category, like sugar and sweetness. This research implies that the noble values in Sundanese proverbs can be practised in everyday life and used to complement da\u27wah material suitable for the da\u27i to convey according to the context
Pangan Dika Tradition in Islamic Guidance Practice at the Cikalama Islamic Traditional School (Pesantren)
Various methods are used in the da\u27wah (guidance) of the Islamic religion, especially in Islamic boarding schools, with the aim of providing an understanding of Islam so that it is more concise and easier, so that the guidance material is effectively understood by the students. This effort is known by various names, such as in the form of modules, pocket books, summaries, summaries and policy briefs, or at a certain level, book reviews. The article aims to reveal the use of the Pangan Dika book as a way and approach to briefly understand Islam which is practiced at the Cikalama Sumedang Islamic Traditional School. The research uses a qualitative approach. Data collection used by observation, interview and documentation methods. Based on the research results, it is known that besides being used as a handbook, Pangan Dika is also called a "method", namely the "Pangan Dika method" using the bandongan method, delivered by a teacher with the rhythm of the song or style of Pangan Dika whose contents include jampe wudlu ( ablution prayer), jampe salat (prayer prayer), kawula boga pangeran (statement of one\u27s attitude towards having God), wirid (special and continuous prayer), hukum, aqaid (pillars of belief), parukunan (harmonies) pillars of prayer, wudlu, etc.), etiquette towards teachers, and the nature of God 20. The Pangan Dika method is practiced regularly and gradually, every student is encouraged to be able to memorize the Pangan Dika text and teach it to others when they have mastered it. Teaching Islamic material in the form of Dika Food has an impact on acceptance and makes understanding easier
The Understanding of Muballigh Regarding Zakat Literacy: Empirical Evidence Based on The Zakat Literacy Index
This study emphasizes the significance of Zakat literacy in advancing da\u27wah, especially in Indonesia where Zakat collection falls short. The focus is on assessing the comprehension levels of Indonesian Muballigh, who are key agents of da\u27wah, regarding zakat as a fundamental pillar of Islam. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach, the research employs both quantitative and qualitative methods. The Zakat Literacy Index (ZLI quantitatively measures comprehension levels among 50 Indonesian Mubaligh respondents. Additionally, a comprehensive literature study is conducted for a nuanced understanding of the subject. The study reveals a robust Zakat Literacy Index score of 80.66, indicating solid basic comprehension. However, there is room for improvement in advanced understanding, rated at a moderate level. Therefore, this research measures the understanding of preachers or muballighs regarding zakat which is the main source for society to study and understand religious knowledge, especially how to fulfil the obligation of zakat as a pillar of Islam
Islamic Counseling on Psychological Aspects of the Sirri Marriage Case: Five Women\u27s Voices in the Narrative Investigation
Unregistered marriages have become a phenomenon in several countries and have an impact on wives and children because marriages are not registered with the government. This research aims to report the psychological impact on wives and children in Indonesia. Five female participants in unregistered marriages were involved in narrative inquiry research. Data collection was carried out through semi-structured interviews. Interviews were also conducted with ustadz and amil (community figures). The data were analyzed using narrative analysis. The results showed that the wives experienced mental disorders (neuroses), which were influenced by frustration (pressure), conflict (inner conflict) and anxiety due to several things, including the lack of legal certainty and treatment of the husband. Apart from that, the factors causing unregistered marriages are women\u27s ignorance of the concept of marriage, which includes the rights and obligations of husband and wife, and economic aspects. This research has implications for the legality of children resulting from unregistered marriages related to inheritance and administration rights
