The influence of labor and land use management on rice farming production in Pohuwato District
Get PDFThe purposes of this research are: 1) to analyze the labor and land use area in Pohuwato District; 2) to analyze the effect of labor and land area usage on increased rice production in Pohuwato; 3) to analyze the factors of soil processing technology that have influence on rice production in Pohuwato District. The research method is survey method. The data analysis is descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that the labor use in family and land are has a significant effect on rice production in Pohuwato District of Gorontalo. The other side that the technologies increase has no significant effect on rice production in Pohuwato District of Gorontalo. The results that showed insignificant effect because the technology has a good impact in increased production but not factual, so in the future it the need to evaluate in the technology adoption and the role of agricultural extension must be more optimal
The effect of distribution supply fertilizer on rice production improvement in Gorontalo City
Get PDFThe purposes of this research are to: 1) analyze the distribution of subsidized fertilizer in Gorontalo City, 2) analyze the distribution of subsidized fertilizers partially (right price, right amount, and time) to increase rice production in Gorontalo City. The study conducted in Gorontalo City with a sample number of 95 farmers. The research method used is survey method. Data analysis used is multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that there are two distributors fertilizer in Gorontalo City is PT. Indonesian Trade Company (PT PPI) and Indonesian Trade Cooperative (KPI), and 5 authorized retailers which are distributing subsidized fertilizer is Kios Tani Lestari, Anugerah Tani Kios, Saprodi Tani Kios, Cahaya Tani Kios and Bunga Tani Kios. PT. PPI is responsible for distributing NPK, SP36 and ZA fertilizers while KPI is responsible for the distribution of Urea fertilizer. Analysis of budget spending and its affect on Jambi Government performance
Get PDFThe purpose of this research are: 1) to investigated the tendency of budget absorption to regional working units (SKPD in Indonesian) expenditure in the provincial government of Jambi; 2) to analyze factors that influence the SKPD’s budget absorption in the provincial government of Jambi; 3) to examine the effect of budget absorption on agency performance in the provincial government of Jambi. The data used in the research are secondary data in the form of budget realization reports, and primary data by using questionnaires. The population in this research are all SKPD in the environment of the provincial government of Jambi. The data analysis tools used in this research is Partial Least Square (PLS). The research finding shows that 1) all SKPD in the environment of the provincial government of Jambi tend to be delayed in budget absorption. About 82.61% SKPD tend to be delayed in budget absorption of personnel expenditure. All SKPD tend to be delayed in budget absorption of goods and services expenditure, and 43.90% SKPD tend to be delayed in budget absorption of capital expenditure; 2) budget planning and budget execution are the factors that affect the budget absorption significantly, while capacity of human resources has no effect on the budget absorption, and 3) the budget absorption has a positive and significant impact on the agency performance in the provincial government of Jamb

The influence of support program in the development of thermal irrigation canal on rice production improvement in Pohuwato District
Get PDFThe purposes of this research are: 1) to analyze the implementation system of tertiary irrigation assistance in Pohuwato District, 2) To study the tertiary irrigation development assistance program that affect the increase of rice production in Pohuwato. The study was conducted in Pohuwato District with 93 farmers sample. The research method used is survey method. Data analysis used is descriptive analysis with percentage formula and multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that the system of tertiary irrigation implementation from the assessment of the percentage of total score of respondents answers on the program policy indicators included in the category is quite good, and on the indicator of increased production percentage total score of respondents' answers included in the category very well. So that the application of tertiary irrigation aid in the research location has been well developed in the aid of tertiary irrigation canal program.The results that the program of development assistance of tertiary irrigation canals on rice farming simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on increasing rice production. Get PDFThis study aims to analyze the effect of firm characteristics of corporate social responsibility disclosure. The population in this study is as many as 143 companies listed in the Indonesia Sharia Stock Index, whereas units of analysis in this study were 43 companies listed in the Indonesia Sharia Stock Index for the period 2012-2016. The type of data used is secondary data with multiple linear regression analysis. The result shows that firm size and profitability have significant influence, while leverage and firm growth have no significant effect on corporate social responsibility disclosure. This study supports signaling theory in which the information presented will be a good signal for external parties for sustainable development for the company
Coffee development strategy in the surrounding areas of Kerinci Seblat National Park (case study of Lempur Village)
Get PDFThis study aimed to analyze the coffee development strategy in the surrounding areas of Kerinci Seblat National Park (KSNP). The study was conducted in Lempur Village, as one of the villages bordering KSNP. Primary data was obtained from coffee farmers and secondary data was obtained from relevant agencies. SWOT analysis was used and the data were analyzed descriptively. The study found that the main strategy in the development of coffee in Lempur Village was the expansion of the coffee marketing area. In addition to that, other strategies are needed, such as giving information about branding and guidance for independent export, promotion both through print, electronic, and social media, using better quality coffee seeds, optimizing the use of information technology to support marketing, maximizing the empowerment of farmer institutions, optimizing coffee farming management and providing training in product innovation and diversification to increase value added in production
The geothermal potentials for electric development in Maluku Province
Get PDFThe characteristic of small to medium size islands is the limited amount of natural resources for electric generation. Presently the needs of energy in Maluku Province are supplied by the diesel generation units. The electricity distributes through an isolated grid system of each island. There are 10 separate systems in Maluku Province, namely Ambon, Namlea, Tual, Saumlaki, Mako, Piru, Bula, Masohi, Dobo and Langgur. From the geothermal point of view, this condition is suitable because the nature of the generation is small to medium and the locations are dispersed. The geological condition of Maluku Province is conducive for the formation of geothermal resources. The advanced utilization of geothermal energy in Maluku Province is in Tulehu located about 8 kilometers NE of Ambon. It is expected that 60 MW electric will be produced at the first stage in 2019. A total of 100 MW resources were estimated. Other places of geothermal potentials are Lauke and Tawen both located in Ambon Island with the potentials of 25 MW respectively. In Oma Haruku, Saparua and Nusa Laut the geothermal potentials were estimated to be 25 MW each. The total amount of geothermal energy in Maluku Province is thus, 225 MW which will contribute significantly to the needs of projected 184 MW in the year 2025
Online financial disclosures in the Nigerian public sector
Get PDFThe objective of this study is to examine the online financial disclosure practices by Nigerian public sector entities. In achieving this, the cross-sectional research design was employed and data gathered from 27 states for a one year period. The ordered logistic regression technique was used to estimate the model and the findings reveal that wealth and political competition have significant positive relationships with online financial disclosure in Nigeria while the size of the state has a significant but negative relationship. Also, the age of the state has an insignificant relationship with online financial disclosure in Nigeria. Based on these, the study recommends that healthy competition should be encouraged in forms of public debates, assessment polls on public sector entities, frequent programmes aimed at assessing the progress of public entities probably on a yearly basis or biannual or even at the end of a regime (before the commencement of another
