ANALISIS PERLINDUNGAN HUKUM TERHADAP TENAGA KERJA WANITA DALAM UNDANG-UNDANG NOMOR 13 TAHUN 2003 TENTANG KETENAGAKERJAAN DITINJAU DARI HUKUM ISLAM
This writing aimed to find out how the forms of legal protection for women workers are stipulated in Law No. 13 of 2003 concerning employment as viewed from an Islamic law perspective. To answer the problems in this study, the authors conducted formative research with a comparative legal study specification. The research method used is library research. The results showed that the legal protection provided by law in the aspects of working time, workplace, leave, menstruation, pregnancy, breastfeeding, and work safety is not balanced with the biological tendency of women that could be painful, and even tend not to make women productive. At the same time, the law does not pay attention to the tendency of today's society that has a higher crime rate so that it is dangerous for women to work at night or in places where they cannot bring their mahram (a member of one’s family). The lack of clarity in attitudes and procedures for legal protection for women workers, according to Islamic law, is not proportional to the risks that will be received by families because they work outside the home beyond their time for children and families

GENDER EQUALITY IN ISLAMIC FAMILY LAW: Breaking the Chain of Domestic Violence to Achieve Harmonious Family
This paper describes some efforts to build gender equality in Islamic law against domestic violence. Family is the smallest institution in society as a mirror of a nation. Nevertheless, family problems continue to occur, including domestic violence. Domestic violence is a classic problem in a family resulting in caring for family functions to realize harmonious family. Based on the data collected, the number of women victims of domestic violence is still high, due to gender relations with patriarchal culture. This situation is legitimized by the sacred text which is still considered gender bias, such as in Islamic family law. Therefore, Islamic family law reform is obviously needed by discussing the concept of sakīnah (harmonious) family with gender equality through formal legal approach, legal culture, uṣūl fiqh (philosophy of Islamic law), and al-maqāṣid al- syarī'ah (the purposes of Islamic Law) and universal Islamic values as raḥmah li al-‘ālamīn (blessing for the universe) to establish harmonious family
Virginity Discourse in the Curse of Beauty’s Indah Hanaco
This study aims to examine the discourse of virginity represented in Indah Hanaco’s The Curse of Beauty. Sales Promotion Girl (SPG) is one of the professions that are in great demand by women, especially teenagers today. SPG is a woman who has met certain criteria recruited by companies to promote, market and inform consumers of the products. Their work is vulnerable to sexual oppression. This inspired Indah Hanaco in writing her novel. Therefore, there are several issues to be discussed. (1) the form of virginity discourse represented by The Curse of Beauty. (2) the function of virginity discourse in The Curse of Beauty (3) the meaning of virginity discourse represented by Indah Hanaco. This study uses the analysis of form, function, meaning the discourse theory of Michel Foucault. This research shows, virginity is a discourse formed by the social construction of society about women who have never had sexual relations. The form of the discourse of virginity is shown through the story of the taboo of sexual intercourse before marriage or the importance of keeping the chastity (virginity) of women from sex intercourse with a lover. The function of virginity discourse in the novel is as a description of social construction in society about what is a woman's virginity. The meaning of the discourse of virginity represented by Indah Hanaco is that virginity is not a matter of the dignity of women but a matter of oppression of women in this case experienced by the SPG

Kesetaraan Gender dalam Industri Media: Studi Mobilitas Vertikal Karir Pekerja Perempuan di Riau Televisi
The Beijing Platform for Action in 1995 raised awareness, that the mass media contributed greatly to the empowerment and promotion of women. But within the media industry itself, gender equality is a problem. This article discusses the position of women in Riau Television. Of the 12 division leadership positions in Riau Television, there are only four women who occupy manager positions. Using qualitative research methods and using the four women as cases studied, in this article the author reveals the explanation behind only four women occupying managerial positions in the midst of male domination. Framed by the Glass Ceiling Theory the question answered is: What are the pathways in which the four female journalists have succeeded in occupying the position of manager on Riau TV in the midst of male domination? The results of the study show that social channels that enable women to succeed in breaking through the barriers are seen in the policies of the president director as a company leader in promoting them to occupy manager positions. The reality of women who occupy manager positions in Riau Television, is not a portrait that portrays a form of position sharing out of pity. Having the experience, abilities, years of service and achievements of these four women, are a number of requirements that are considered by the president director in deciding to place women in managerial positions
