REKONSTRUKSI BUDAYA PATRIARKI DALAM VISUALISASI SURGA (Analisis Historis-Linguistik)
This study aims to reconstruct the depiction of heaven which has been closely related to patriarchal culture. This can be proven when the Qur'an touches on the word of hūr which is interpreted feministly as a reward for Muslim, but it is not accompanied by a picture of Muslimah. The case, in fact appearing the patriarchal dimension in the visualization of the Qur'an about eschatological verses. Furthermore, through several other portrayals, men always get more portions - not to say everything - as the object of discussion about the pleasures of heaven verses. In fact, the visualization used by the Qur'an still raises numerous meanings if reviewed through various perspectives, one of which is linguistic and historical analysis. Through the historical approach, it can be seen that the explanation of heaven's visualization is closely related to the things that the Arab Muslim population dreamed of at that time. While based on grammatical aspects, the use of words that generally have a chemistry, in the other hand can be understood neutrally which implies that the message is also directed at women. Because it is reviewed holistically in several other verses, it requires the existence of the unity in interpreting masculine verses, but intended in general. This study, as well as an effort to clarify the point of differentiation between Islamic values and Arabian culture
PRAKTIK WACANA NYESEK BAGI PEREMPUAN SASAK
Benchmarks for ideality for the body that prioritize aspects of physical appearance as well as social demands of the Sasak people who determine women should be able to nyesek or make sesek cloth as a source of value and meaning to the body. This article aims to examine the centrality of the body to explain how the discourse of nyesek is used as a benchmark of female maturity and as a standardization of the ideal wife in the Sasak tribe. This research tries to identify various traditional discourses in the Sasak tribe and study how these discourses function to discipline women. This study also tries to see the views of Sasak women, both the older generation and the younger generation, about the concept of nyesek. This research applies a qualitative descriptive approach. Data obtained through interviews with Sasak women in the range (18-80s). Since most sesek weavers are elderly who can only use the Sasak language, interpreting it into Indonesian requires an interview with a young Sasak tribe. This research seeks to show that the ability of nyesek to be learned by Sasak women not only serves to preserve tradition, but also to encourage women to have an economic role in the family. That is because most of the respondents interviewed were farmers' wives, nyesek was considered as an additional family income, even though its contribution was still small. This research is important because there are still many Sasak women who are not aware of the existence of body control through the discourse contained in the nyesek tradition
PELECEHAN TERHADAP PEREMPUAN DALAM MEME
The rapid spread of a meme thought to influence both individual and social behavior. The meme uses symbols to convey ideas and ideas. In practice, memes are also used as a means of patriarchal power legitimation through symbolic violence. Through the processing of language and images into symbols, memes are thought to be a tool of men's legitimacy. This article discusses several forms of content of harassment against women in the form of internet memes. First, the memes are analyzed by grasping the meaning of the symbols in them using semiotics' theory. Then, using Pierre Bourdieu's symbolic violence theory: habitus, capital, arenas, and symbolic violence, memes are analyzed to find the factors that cause the appearance of memes with the content of harassment against women. The results indicate that stereotype, gender bias, and mental structure are habitus structure which plays an essential role so that symbolic violence becomes natural for its victims. The internet, as an arena, has become the initial capital for men to dominate. Also, naming and mentioning are forms of symbolic violence against women by forming certain boundaries and categories
REPRESENTASI FEMINISME PADA KEPEMIMPINAN PEREMPUAN DI MADURA (STUDI KEBERHASILAN KEPALA DESA PEREMPUAN MENJADIKAN DESA BUNDER SEBAGAI DESA SWAKARYA DAN DESA SWASEMBADA)
Women's leadership in some areas is still considered didn’t usual in society. Women are still restricted by domestic roles, so although there are women active in public roles as a substitute, the length of the family or husband. In contrast, the study reveals the relationship between feminism and women leadership. The women head village during his reign can build the Bunder village from the backward village into a self-reliance village and self-developing. Direct observation, deep interviews and documentation show, the representation of feminism within the village government is evident in its leadership. Feminine values applied in leadership such as thorougoness, humility in the village government or community environment, the balance in managing the village government, discipline in the management of time, can embrace all classes and the last is open about the program to be implemented. The collaboration of feminism values on the village's leadership is the base of women head village make into Bunder village as village of self-developing. In addition, innovation and utilization of information technology development is used to support various community empowerment programs. Professionalism of each field is executed according to the predefined functions. This study shows a new fact about the women head village with not limited capacity and capability to lead the village government in rural Madura, but also achievers at the provincial to national level
OTORITAS AGAMA ULAMA PEREMPUAN: Studi terhadap Kepemimpinan Fauziah Fauzan di Perguruan Diniyyah Puteri Padang Panjang, Sumatera Barat, Indonesia
Examining about relationship between religious authorities and gender, this article is focused on portraying the life and career of a female cleric in West Sumatra, contemporary Indonesia. This research was conducted by interviewing and using ethnographic techniques towards the leadership of Fauziah Fauzan, Director of Diniyyah Puteri in Padang Panjang City. The findings of this study indicate that religious knowledge was not the only capital to be a female cleric, while leadership played an important role for the formation of women’s religious authority. By combining his ascribed authority with the ability to lead (leadership), Fauziah’s religious authority gained recognition by the community and the state. The longer experience of general education, compared to the background of his religious education, did not become an obstacle for Fauziah in contesting to obtain the religious authority which has traditionally been dominated by men. Using the two main theories of feminism, namely agency and freedom, as used by Saba Mahmood, this article was not only limited to help to understand how Fauziah’s achievements reflected the experience of a Muslim woman turning herself into an ethical subject and could be a community leader, but also a community leader. Her leadership was an alternative model of how a woman could gain religious authority in a Muslim society which was changing due to modernization
KAJIAN GENDER DALAM CERPEN KUKILA KUMPULAN CERPEN KARYA A. AAN MANSYUR
The purpose of this study is to analyze and describe the phenomenon of gender in short stories with a feminist approach. This study used a descriptive qualitative method with content analysis techniques. Data collection was carried out by a descriptive survey through relevant research article data sources, library data sources, printed books containing a collection of Aan Mansyur's short stories published by PT Gramedia Pustaka Utama in 2012. The analysis focused on the Mansyur author's thinking, social issues, traditional culture, and modern culture regarding women. The results of the study, namely the type of feminist used by the author Mansyur is existential feminism. In this case, the mother character in the short story in the Coconut Gardens in my Head shows its existence as a human being who can compete in the public sphere. Auntie Mare can pay for her children's education by working. In terms of culture, there has been a change from traditional to modern culture. Aunt Mare's character is no longer employed as ata or slave in the Bone tradition but is given a job as a gardener and barber. Generally, this work is carried out by men but through the author Mansyur, the job is taken over by women. Mansyur's short story found the phenomenon of gender injustice including marginalization, subordination, stereotyping, physical violence, and workload problem

FENOMENA TA’ARUF ONLINE DAN PRAKTIK KOMODIFIKASI PERKAWINAN DI DUNIA DIGITAL
This paper explains a phenomenon of ta’aruf which has been flourishing in the digital world. With the mode of revitalization of pure Islamic teachings and overlaid with the doctrine of hijrah, ta’aruf onlne is a way to invite man and woman to marry without dating. However, this article also explains the other side relating to this phenomenon of ta’aruf which in the process is involved in the practice of commodification. In this connection, there are two focus of studies reviewed in this paper, first, what is the background of the emergence of the phenomenon of online ta’aruf. Second, how the online ta’aruf phenomenon is commodified by its users. Using qualitative methods, research explores various website s and accounts that provide online ta’aruf services. The findings are that online ta’aruf in the digital world has been motivated by the movement of migratory trends in the Muslim community in recent years. However, in its development, online ta’aruf was later commodified by the perpetrators because there were interested people and the market wanted it
NARASI PERCINTAAN DAN KESETARAAN GENDER DALAM LIRIK LAGU-LAGU TULUS
Besides rhythm, song lyrics are an important part of a song. As a medium for the expression of the author, song lyrics can be a means of socialization and preservation of certain values, so that they are often regarded as literary works as well as poetry. Song lyrics were written and sung by Tulus for example, are considered to contain their perspectives on love relations and gender equality. The songs Teman Hidup, Sepatu, Jangan Cintai Aku Apa Adanya, and Tuan Nona Kesepian are the objects of this study which was studied with descriptive-qualitative analysis methods, through the approach of feminist studies and popular culture. The results showed that in these songs, it was revealed that women tend to be positioned parallel to men. Like men, women are seen to be able to make decisions, are brave, and strong in solving problems. Research on gender equality [or inequality] in various popular culture media such as songs does need to be carried out continuously to build insight and awareness of the audience
ANALISIS PARTISIPASI TENAGA KERJA PEREMPUAN DALAM PEMENUHAN KESEJAHTERAAN KELUARGA DI PTKIN SESUMATERA
Obligation to fulfill family welfare is the duty of the husband as the head of the family, but women as housewives are allowed to assist the responsibilities of the husband by actively working in the public sector. Women play a dual role not only as a housewife but also as a career woman. This study aims to analyze the participation of women workers in order to fulfilling family welfare in PTKIN in Sumatra. This research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Data was collected by interviewing a number of female workers in several PTKIN in Sumatra, namely State Islamic University of Arraniry Banda Aceh, State Islamic University of Sumatera Utara Medan, State Islamic University of Imam Bonjol Padang, and State Islamic University of Raden Fatah Palembang. The results of the research indicate that the participation of women workers in fulfilling family welfare plays an important role. Based on this research, the contribution carried out by women workers can be grouped into three namely: a. Contribute more than 50% in helping fulfill family welfare b. Contribute less than 50% in helping fulfill family welfare c. Contributed to the fulfillment of family welfare by 50%.
