Peran Wanita dalam Pemanfaatan Pangan pada Rumah Tangga di Desa Dunggala Kecamatan Tapa Kabupaten Bone Bolango
Food utilization is the process of using food ingredients to meet household nutritional and energy needs. This study aims to analyze the influence of the role of female farmers on food utilization in households in Dunggala Village, Tapa District, Bone Bolango Regency. The study used a survey method on 55 female farmers who were selected purposively. Data were collected through interviews and documentation, then analyzed descriptively and quantitatively using multiple linear regression. The results showed that the role of female farmers in food consumption had a significant negative effect on food utilization, while their role in food processing, food production, and food storage techniques had a significant positive effect. The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.825, meaning 8.25% of the variation in food utilization was explained by these four roles. This finding underscores the need to increase the capacity of female farmers, particularly in the processing and consumption of healthy and diverse foods, to strengthen household food security
Pendekatan Komunikasi Partisipatif dalam Pemberdayaan Peternak: Telaah Konseptual dan Studi Empiris
The livestock sector plays a strategic role in agricultural development and improving community welfare, especially in developing countries such as Indonesia. However, small-scale farmers still face various challenges such as limited access to resources, lack of technical knowledge, and low adoption of modern technology. The top-down approach that has been applied in empowerment programmes is often ineffective because it places farmers in a passive role. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of participatory communication approaches in empowering farmers through a literature review using a descriptive-analytical approach. The findings indicate that participatory communication can increase technology adoption, livestock productivity, and programme sustainability through the strengthening of local capacity. Collaboration between farmers, extension workers, and researchers in the knowledge exchange process has proven to generate more contextual and applicable solutions. The success of this approach is greatly influenced by the quality of facilitators, institutional support, and community readiness. However, challenges such as knowledge gaps and resource constraints remain obstacles that need to be overcome. Thus, participatory communication is not only an extension method but also a crucial strategy in creating inclusive, needs-based, and sustainable farmer empowerment.
Determinasi Sosial Demografi terhadap Literasi Digital pada Petani di Wilayah Pesisir Kabupaten Bone Bolango
The need to use digital technology to access agricultural information does not always align with the ability of coastal farmers to utilize digital media for improving their farm production. Digital literacy serves as a catalyst in fostering independence, sustainability, and competitiveness among farmers, particularly in coastal areas that often face limited access to information and infrastructure. The objective of this study is to identify the level of digital literacy among coastal farmers and to examine which socio-economic characteristics influence their digital literacy. This research employs a mixed-methods approach combining qualitative and quantitative methods. The qualitative approach involves in-depth interviews to explore farmers’ experiences related to the use of technology, while the quantitative approach applies multiple linear regression analysis to assess the influence of demographic factors on the level of digital literacy among coastal farmers. The findings reveal that demographic factors have varying effects on farmers’ digital literacy. Partially, age shows a significant negative effect, indicating that the older the farmers, the lower their digital literacy. Conversely, education level has a significant positive effect, meaning that higher education correlates with better digital literacy skills. The number of family dependents also shows a relatively weak but significant positive effect, suggesting that household responsibilities may motivate farmers to use digital technology to improve their welfare. Meanwhile, gender, land size, and farming experience are not found to have a significant impact. In conclusion, age and education are the dominant factors shaping farmers’ digital literacy, whereas other demographic variables do not provide meaningful influence

Determinasi Faktor Kunci yang Memengaruhi Keberlanjutan Pertanian Kentang Sebagai Dasar Pengembangan Teknologi Smart Farming Berbasis Internet of Things (IoT)
Potato farming is a strategic horticultural commodity that plays a vital role in the local economy and food security. However, the sustainability of potato production systems faces various challenges, including climate variability, input inefficiency, and low adoption of cultivation technologies. This study aims to identify key factors influencing the sustainability of potato farming as a basis for designing Internet of Things (IoT)-based Smart Farming technology. The analysis was conducted using the Matrix of Impacts Croisés-Multiplication Appliquée à un Classement (MICMAC) method on 15 variables representing the reinforcing dimensions, human resources, markets, and the environment. Data were collected through surveys, in-depth interviews, and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) with potato farmers in Simalungun Regency. The results of the Matrix of Direct Influence (MDI) analysis indicate that Market Expansion, Education Level, and Price are determinant variables with high influence and low dependency. Meanwhile, Technology, Experience or training certification, and Farmer Development are included in the category of key variables with high influence and dependency, thus becoming strategic factors in the development of Smart Farming. Based on the Matrix of Indirect Influence (MII), the variables Technology, Farmer Education, Price, Experience, and Market Expansion have a strong indirect influence on the system. This finding confirms that effective IoT technology design must consider the interacting technical and socio-economic factors in potato farming systems. This research provides a scientific basis for strengthening the digital transformation of agriculture and formulating more adaptive and sustainable innovation policies
Transformation of The Agricultural Sector and Trade Openness to Indonesia's Economic Growth: Macroeconomic Analysis 1991–2023
Indonesia's economic structure, which is still dominated by the primary sector, particularly agriculture, presents its own challenges in promoting sustainable economic growth, especially amid the dynamics of global trade. This study aims to analyze the impact of the agricultural sector's contribution to Gross Domestic Product (GDP), the proportion of the workforce in the agricultural sector, and trade openness on Indonesia's economic growth. The method used is a quantitative approach with secondary data from the World Bank for the period 1991–2023. The analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression supported by classical assumption testing to ensure the validity of the estimation model. The results of the study indicate that the contribution of the agricultural sector and trade openness have a negative impact on economic growth, while the proportion of agricultural labor has a significant positive impact. These findings reflect the need to improve the quality and productivity of the agricultural labor force as a driver of growth, as well as the importance of formulating trade policies that support the strengthening of the domestic sector. This study makes an important contribution to the formulation of inclusive, sustainable economic development policies based on structural transformation of the agricultural sector.

Strategi Transformasi Agropreneur Muda dalam Perspektif Pertanian Berkelanjutan
The regeneration of farmers in Indonesia remains slow, with young farmers (<35 years) accounting for only 12.87 percent, while the proportion of elderly farmers continues to increase. This condition reflects the low interest and motivation of young generations to engage in agricultural entrepreneurship. The transformation of young agropreneurs is therefore essential to strengthen farmer regeneration and the competitiveness of farming enterprises amid the challenges of climate change, commodity price fluctuations, and the dynamics of digital markets. This study aims to formulate a strategic model for transforming young agropreneurs oriented toward sustainable agriculture. The research was conducted in South Lampung Regency involving 30 young farmer respondents. A descriptive quantitative and qualitative approach was applied through surveys, in-depth interviews, field observations, and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs). SWOT analysis was employed to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in the transformation process of young agropreneurs. The findings indicate that young agropreneurs occupy an adaptive diversification strategy position, characterized by stronger internal capabilities than weaknesses. The formulated model emphasizes digital capacity enhancement, product innovation, and institutional collaboration to expand market access and strengthen farm resilience. The model is oriented toward three dimensions of sustainability: economic (efficiency and value addition), social (network and capacity strengthening among young farmers), and environmental (climate adaptation through eco-friendly technologies). This study highlights the importance of synergy among policies, institutions, and human resource development to accelerate the transformation of young agropreneurs toward an innovative, resilient, and sustainable agricultural system
