CHEMISTRY TEACHER'S PERCEPTION TOWARD SCIENTIFIC LITERACY
Education has a very important role in the development of Indonesian people as a whole. Based on this, it is necessary to develop various sciences in order to improve the quality of learning and intelligence for a nation. Therefore a research has been conducted entitled Perceptions of Chemistry Teachers Against Science Literacy. This study aims to analyze the perceptions of chemistry subject teachers on scientific literacy in several high schools in Aceh. The sample of this research is chemistry subject teachers in Aceh. The approach used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data collection technique is in the form of an online questionnaire. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion in this study, of the 26 chemistry teachers who filled out a questionnaire, the majority of chemistry teachers had applied scientific literacy to the teaching and learning process after the implementation of the 2013 curriculum. Before the implementation of the 2013 curriculum teachers still often used direct learning. /lecture. Teachers in several areas in Aceh strongly support the application of scientific literacy in chemistry learning. Teachers are eager to take part in the training on scientific literacy that will be held. Professional Learning Community (MGMP) strongly supports the implementation of scientific literacy, especially chemistry lessons
ANALYSIS OF SEDIMENTATION TRENDS IN EFFORTS FOR SUSTAINABILITY AT WONOREJO RESERVOIR
Sedimentation is a natural problem that always occurs in water structures, especially dams and reservoirs. Wonorejo Reservoir as a multipurpose reservoir also experienced this. Sedimentation can affect the performance of reservoirs and dams. With the accumulation of sediment, the volume of the reservoir will change from time to time, so it is necessary to estimate the volume of sediment during the useful life of the reservoir and dam, so that they can function optimally. In addition, efforts are also needed to deal with the sedimentation. This study was conducted to estimate the volume of sediment that can occur during the useful life of reservoirs and dams, which is 50 years. Using limited data from previous studies, the study was carried out using the literature study method from other studies that have been carried out in other reservoirs and dams in Indonesia. Based on the estimation results, it is estimated that the volume of sediment in the Wonorejo Reservoir at the end of its age will reach 17.6% of the reservoir capacity volume. So it can be concluded that the reservoir can still work optimally. However, these results are not accurate enough due to the limited data available so that proper sedimentation management efforts are still needed. These countermeasures can be adopted from what has been suggested in other studies for reservoirs and dams in Indonesia
Pengembangan Modul Chemondroid Materi Tata Nama Senyawa untuk SMA/MA Kelas X
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengembangkan modul chemondroid materi tata nama senyawa, (2) mengetahui kualitas modul chemondroid materi tata nama senyawa berdasarkan penilaian guru kimia SMA/MA, (3) mengetahui respon peserta didik terhadap modul chemondroid materi tata nama senyawa untuk SMA/MA kelas X, dan (4) mengetahui keterlaksanaan proses pembelajaran dengan menggunakan modul chemondroid materi tata nama senyawa berdasarkan observasi pada uji coba. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan wawancara dan angket. Subjek coba penelitian ini terdiri dari guru dan peserta didik SMA/MA. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan model 3D, yaitu tahap define, design, dan develop. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modul chemondroid mendapat kategori sangat baik berdasarkan penilaian guru dengan persentase keidealan masing-masing 81,82%. Selain itu berdasarkan respon peserta didik 86,67% dan observasi keterlaksanaan mendapat persentase sebesar 94,17%
EFFORTS TO IMPROVE STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES THROUGH THE STEM APPROACH IN LEARNING THE CONCEPT OF VOLTAIC CELL (A Study in Grade 12, Public High School 2 of Takengon)
This study aims to describe the STEM approach to improve student learning outcomes in Voltaic Cell learning which was carried out in the form of action research. The research subjects were 27 students in class XII MIPA SMAN 2 Takengon, Central Aceh. The research data was obtained from the competency test at the end of each cycle. Study result data were analyzed using statistical tests (data normality test, Kolmogorov Smirnov), and comparative tests. The results of the student competency test showed that the increase in learning outcomes in the first cycle was better when compared to the previous year's learning outcomes. The test results of the second cycle experienced an increase of 6% when compared to cycle 1. The normality test showed that the data was not normal, so the comparison of the two cycles was tested using nonparametric statistics using the Mann-Witney test. The test results showed that the learning outcomes of students in cycles one and two were significantly different with a significance of 0.003 (P0.05). So it can be concluded that the application of STEM-based learning has been able to improve student learning outcomes at SMAN 2 Takengon on the Voltaic Cell concept
IDENTIFICATION OF POTENTIAL ANTIVIRUS FROM Moringa oleifera LEAF AS MPRO SARS-COV-2 INHIBITOR: STUDY OF MOLECULAR DOCKING
Corona virus disease/COVID-19 is an acute respiratory infection caused by SARS-CoV-2 and has become a pandemic. COVID-19 can be prevented by efforts such as physical distancing, washing hands, using masks and self-isolation as well as regional isolation. Moringa is a plant that can be used both as food and medicine. The purpose of this study was to observe the activity of Moringa leaf compounds in inhibiting Mpro (main protease) SARS-CoV-2. Moringa leaf compounds tested were Gamma tocopherol, Benzyl glucosinolate and Chlorogenic acid. The compound was taken from pubchem, while Mpro SARS-CoV-2 (receptor) was obtained from the world protein bank with the PDB code 6W63. This research was conducted using the In Silico method and AutoDock Vina software was used for the tethering process. The results of gridbox optimization by re-tethering control ligands obtained RMSD results of 0.122 . The results showed free energy Gibbs (G) Gamma tocopherol (-6.8 kcal/mol), Benzyl glucosinolat (-6.6 kcal/mol), and Chlorogenic acid (-7.0 kcal/mol) which indicated a stable inhibitory reaction of Moringa leaf compounds against Mpro SARS-CoV-2. Based on Lipinski's rules, the compounds from Moringa leaves tested were qualified to be used as herbal medicines to be used orally
IMPLEMENTATION OF THERMOCHEMISTRY LEARNING VIDEO FOR GRADE XI STUDENTS
A research has been conducted entitled "The Application of Thermochemistry Learning Videos for Class XI MIA-I MAN 6 Aceh Besar Students". The purpose of this study was to analyze student activities, learning outcomes, and student responses after the application of thermochemistry learning video in class XI MIA-I MAN 6 Aceh Besar. This study uses an approach with a descriptive type of research. The sample in this study were students of class XI MIA-1 MAN 6 Aceh Besar. The results show participant activity increased significantly as seen in the percentage of activity from the first meeting to the fourth meeting in a row, which was 76.52%; 83.33% ; 85.83% and 92.42%. Learning outcomes increased and achieved classical completeness as seen from the percentage of complete learning outcomes, which was 88%. The response of students to the application of learning video media on thermochemical material also showed a positive response with a percentage of 88.2%. Thus, it can be said that student learning outcomes through the application of learning video media have increased and have taken place classically, student activities have also increased at each meeting, and students have responded positively to the application of learning video media
DEVELOPMENT OF TUTORIAL VIDEO FOR PALM OIL WASTE TREATMENT IN THE SUBJECT OF WORKSHOP AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP
This study aims to develop, to analyze the feasibility, and to describe students' responses to the video tutorial learning media using the Sony Vegas Pro 13 software on palm oil waste processing material in the Craft material d. This type of research is research and development (Research and Development / RD). The video tutorial learning media developed in this study is the ADDIE model which has five stages, namely, (1) analysis, (2) design, (3) development (4) Implementation and (5 ) Evaluation. Data collection was carried out at SMA Negeri 1 Sampoiniet with 20 students taken from class X. The feasibility of video tutorial media was assessed by Experts at 93.18% and student responses to the video tutorial media developed were 91.8% each with a very good category. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the video tutorial media developed is very suitable for use in the learning process of waste treatment materials
ANALYSIS OF STUDENTS' LEARNING DIFFICULTIES ON THE CONCEPT OF BUFFER SOLUTION USING FOUR-TIER MULTIPLE CHOICE DIAGNOSTIC TEST
This study aims to determine the level of students' understanding of each indicator of the buffer solution material and to determine the most difficult indicator in understanding the buffer solution material using the Four-Tier Multiple Choice diagnostic test. This type of research uses a descriptive type of research using a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were students of class XI Madrasah Aliyyah Swasta Darul Ihsan as many as 15 students who were selected using the simple random sampling technique. The research instrument used was the Four-Tier Multiple Choice diagnostic test instrument sheet and student interview sheets. The results of this study showed that the average percentage of students who understood the concept was 32.3%, did not understand the concept was 38.1%, misconception was 20.6% and the error was 9%. Based on this research, it was found that the most difficult indicator to understand is the indicator to determine the relationship between the buffer solution and the concept of chemical equation and the indicator to calculate the pH of the acid buffer solution. So it can be concluded that the students of class XI Madrasah Aliyyah Private Darul Ihsan have difficulty in understanding the material of the buffer solution
KRUENG BRAYEUN'S POTENTIAL AS A RAW SOURCE OF DRINKING WATER FOR BANDA ACEH CITY AND ACEH BESAR DISTRICT IN ATTAINING SDGS (SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS)
This study aims to analyze the potential of krueng brayeuen as a raw source of drinking water for the city of Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar district. Data was collected through document analysis and analysis of water samples taken from 5 different points in the Krueng Brayeuen watershed. Water quality analysis includes metal content of Fe, Mn, ammonia content, Total Dissolved Solid (TDS), and organic matter content. While other qualities include color, odor, taste, chlorine content, and others. The results showed that the water discharge of krueng brayeuen every year showed a promising value to be used as a source of raw water. The results of the water quality test showed that the water in Krueng Brayeuen was tasteless, colorless and odorless. Testing of all other water parameters such as iron content, Mn content, ammonia content and organic matter content met the drinking water standards in general where the levels were still below the threshold set by PP. 22/2021. PENGEMBANGAN MODUL PEMBELAJARAN MUATAN LOKAL PADA SMAN DI PULAU NASI KABUPATEN ACEH BESAR
Kajian terhadap materi muatan lokal yang berbasis life skill serta modulnya yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan sesuaidengan daerah kepulauan terutama untuk siswa SMAN 1 Pulo Aceh telah dilakukan. Data dikumpulkan melaluiobservasi langsung, angket, wawancara dan FGD untuk mengumpulkan segala informasi yang dibutuhkan untukmenyusun modul pembelajaran muatan lokal yang sesuai. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan potensi daerah Pulo Acehadalah pertanian dan perikanan sedangkan pekerjaan yang diminati oleh mayoritas siswa SMA adalah wirausaha.Muatan muatan lokal yang dipilih oleh mayoritas guru, siswa dan masyarakat adalah penyulingan minyak cengkeh,penyulingangn nilam, holtikultura dan pengasapan ikan. Modul yang dibuat sesuai dengan data penelitian iniditanggapi dengan skor mayoritas baik dan sangat baik pada setiap indikator kualitas modul oleh pakar dari fakultaspertanian. Alat pengasapan ikan telah berhasil dibuat dan telah dibuktikan dapat digunakan dengan baik. Sebanyak93% dari 14 orang guru sebagai responden terhadap modul pelajaran muatan lokal setuju bahwa modul mulok yangtelah dihasilkan dari penelitian ini adalah menarik, dapat menjadi bagian dari pelajaran mulok, dapat menginspirasiberwirausaha dan hidup mandiri, dapat diterapkan baik di sekolah maupun di tengah masyarakat. Mayoritas (60-100%) frekuensi respon dari siswa menilai bahwa modul pembelajaran mulok bermanfaat bagi mereka danmerekomendasi untuk diterapkan di sekolah
