Uji Kedalaman Porositas Permukaan Bahan Pit dan Fissure Sealant Berbasis Resin Komposit dan Ionomer Kaca Setelah Direndam Saliva Buatan pH 5,5 (Depth Porosity Test of Surface Materials Pit and Fissure Sealant Based Resin Composite and Glass Ionomer After
Background. Salivary pH between 5.6 to 7.0 in a normal state. pH below 5.5 included in environments susceptible to caries. Concentration of H+ ions which will outline the high Ca-P bond and will liberate ions into the surrounding environment. So that the material of fissure sealant will lose inorganic mineral constituent and formed on the surface porosity materials. If the sealant surface rough for their porosity can be a retention of plaque and calculus that may cause caries. Other than that, more porosity will affect the compression strength of the material used for fillings when chewing. Purpose. This research purposed to determine the depth of surface porosity difference between pit and fissure sealant materials based resin with glass ionomer after artificial saliva soaked with a pH of 5.5. Method. This research was a laboratory experimental research design with the post test only control group design. The total number of samples required were 16 samples. The tool used a Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) with units of measurements µ m. Results. The average depth of the material surface porosity pit and fissure sealant resin-based composite of 2.805 μm, while the glass ionomer amounted to 1.912 μm. The surface material pit and fissure sealant resin composite-based artificial saliva soaked with a pH of 5.5 for 24 hours had a depth porosity greater than the surface material pit and fissure sealant glass ionomer-based.

Efek Ekstrak Kulit Mangga (Mangifera indica L.) Arumanis terhadap Lama Perdarahan Mencit Putih Jantan (The Effect of Arumanis Mango (Mangifera indica L.) Peel Extract on the Bleeding Time of White Male Mice)
The inhibition of cyclooxygenase 1 (COX-1) enzyme leads to the decrease of tromboxane A2 (TXA2) and decrease the activity of platelet aggregation that marked by the lengthening of bleeding time. This mechanism is important to prevent the occurence of patology that can lead to thrombosis. Flavonoid, polyphenol present in the mango peel, is known to have activity for blocking the COX-1 enzyme. The aim of this research was to know the effect of Arumanis mango peel extract for lengthening the bleeding time on white male mice. The research was true experimental. The sampel was treated for seven days and the bleeding time was measured on the seventh day. The result of analyses Kruskal Wallis shows that there are significant difference intern-treatment group with significance (p) 0.033. The Mann Whitney analyses test shows significant difference between treatment group 2 (P2), treatment group 4 (P4), treatment group 5 (P5) and negative control group (K-). So, it can be concluded that arumanis mango peel extract can lengthening the bleeding time of white male mice.The dosis of 16,8 mg.grBBof mango peel extract givesthe longest mean bleeding timeand it exceeds the mean of positive control group. Keywords: bleeding time, mango, flavonoi
Pengambilan Keputusan dalam Pelaksanaan Rujukan Puskesmas sebagai Fasilitas Kesehatan Tingkat Pertama (Decision Making in the Refferal Implementation at Public Health Center as First Level Health Facility)
Public health center is a first level of health facility which collaboration with health care and social security agency must be organize a comprehensive health care. Based on P-Care application at 30 public health centers in district jember obtained 1 public health center which has not the disease refferal rate data as (100%), 12 public health center as (5%), 10 public health center as (5-10%) and 7 public health center over (10%). Based on these data can been conclusion that the disease refferal data which can be handled is still high and the refferal implementaion which is not appropiate at public health center in district jember. The purpose of this study was to identified decision making process in public health center refferal implementation which were not appropriate as first level of health facility.These study was a descriptive. This study was held at 29 public health centers in district Jember on February-March 2016. Sample of these study was 29 health centers. Result showed that of 29 public health center (100%) identified having problem of the refferal which were not appropriate. All public health center in district jember make data collection. All public health center make alternative solution development. All public health center make problem solving evaluation. All public health center make the best alternative election. Alternative preferred by public health center as the best alternative was education and motivation.

Efek Hepatoprotektif Ekstrak Etanol Brokoli (Brassica oleracea L. var. italica) terhadap Kerusakan Histologis Sel Hati Tikus Wistar yang Diinduksi DMBA (Hepatoprotective Effect of Ethanolic Extract of Broccoli (Brassica oleracea L. var. italica) on the Histologically Damage of Wistar Rats Liver Cell Induced by DMBA)
DMBA (7,12-Dimethylbenz(α)antracene) is one of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbon’s form that is abundant on air pollution, i.e. automobile exhaust, cigarette smoke, and wood stoves. DMBA is metabolized in liver result in DMBA-DE. DMBA-DE is a free radical compound that has hepatotoxic effect. Broccoli contains flavonoid that has antioxidant effect. It can stabilize DMBA-DE radical compound. This research was conducted to investigate the hepatoprotective effect of ethanolic extract of broccoli on the damage of rat’s liver cells induced by DMBA. This research used 30 white male rats that was divided into 6 groups: normal control (aquadest), positive control (DMBA) and the treatment groups(using brocolli ethanolic extract with dose : 250, 500, 1000, and 2000 mg/kgBB). The treatment was given for 7 days followed by single-dose DMBA 15 mg/kgBB induction in the 8th day. Histological appearance of liver cells were examined on the 12th day. Data were analyzed by using Kruskal Wallis test followed by Mann Whitney. The result showed that there was a significant difference among the groups with p<0.05. Daya Antibakteri Infusa Kulit Manggis (Garcinia mangostana L) terhadap Streptococcus mutans (Antibacterial of Mangosteen peel infuse (Garcinia mangostana L ) Against Streptococcus mutans)
One of the main causes of dental caries is Streptococcus mutans. Some sourcesmentioned in the mangosteen peel contains flavonoids, saponins and tannins whichhave antibacterial activity. The purpose of this research was to determine theantibacterial activity of mangosteen peel infuse against S.mutans, the most effectiveinhibition and minimum inhibition. The sample was divided into 10 groups: negativecontrol (K), positive control (K +), and the treatment group of infusa mangosteen rindwith concentration of 100%, 50%, 25%, 12.5%, 6.25%, 3.13%, 1.56% and 0.78%.Negative control group only containing BHI-B. Positive control group containing BHI-B,S.mutans and Tetracycline hydrochloride. The treatment groups containing BHI-B, S.mutans and different concentration of each group. S.mutans colonies was counted usinga colony counter. Data were analyzed with the Kruskal Wallis test followed by Mann-Whitney test. Results of this research showed that infuse mangosteen rind was effectiveas an antibacterial. Pengaruh Pemberian Monosodium Glutamat pada Induk terhadap Fase Erupsi Gigi Anak Tikus Wistar (Rattus norvegicus) Generasi Pertama (The Effect of Monosodium Glutamate Administration on Mothers Rat (Rattus norvegicus) to the Tooth Eruption Phase of the Fir
Background: Monosodium glutamat (MSG) is a kind of food additives which consumes widely in society. It may damage the hypothalamic arcuate nucleus and disturb the endocrin regulation system. This condition may delay the tooth eruption phase. Aim: To analyze the effect of MSG administration on the neonatal rats tooth eruption phase, whose mothers were given MSG during gestational period also during gestational and lactation period, to determine the difference between neonatal male and female tooth eruption phase. Materials and Methods: The first molar of right mandibular of neonatal rats from the control group (K1), the treatment group which mothers were given MSG during pregnant period (K2) and the mothers which were given MSG during pregnant and lactation period (K3) were collected as samples. The samples were examined by periapical rontgent to observe the tooth eruption phase. The result was measured by Corel Draw X3. Results and Conclusion: The tooth eruption phase in the treatment group (K2 and K3) are slower than the control group (K1), and there is no difference between neonatal male and female tooth eruption phase.

AbstractThe increase of Life Expectancy Age (UHH) at birth, caused a significant increased in the number of elderly people in the future. Problems which related to mental health were problems that were strongly associated with the elderly. Physical or non physical needs of the elderly were more secure if the elderly lived with the family. health indicators were very important and very helpful to monitor the development of elderly health and to prevent disease incidence. This study aimed to analyze indicators of mental health practices in the elderly based on social support from the family. The studi using explorative research with qualitative approach. Indicators of health practice mentally in the elderly based on family social support, they included: the practice of developing hobbies and interests of the elderly, the practice of recreation periodic basis, the practice of looking attractive, the practice of maintaining memory, the practice of keeping the confidence the practice of attractive, practical tackle complex problems, the practice of visiting the ancestral grave, the practice of accepting the release of office during retirement, the practice of adjusting from the death of a spouse, reconciliation practices not to regret adverse events in the past, the practice of giving parents education system and adoption by children. Pengembangan Bromfenol Biru dan Bromtimol Biru pada Label Pintar Sensor Kematangan Buah Naga Merah (Hylocereus polyrhizus) (The Development of Bromophenol Blue and Bromothymol Blue on Ripeness Sensor Smart Label on Red Dragon Fruit (Hylocereus polyrhizu
The novel on-package color indicator label has been fabricated based on bromophenol blue and mixture between bromophenol blue and bromothymol blue, and tests have been conducted to assess the ripeness of red dragon fruit (Hylocereus polyrhizus). Bromophenol blue (BPB) and mixture between bromophenol blue and bromothymol blue (BTB) were immobilized onto acetate cellulose membrane via adsorption method. The BPB and mixture between BPB and BTB/acetate cellulose membrane as color indicator work based on pH decrease as the volatile organic compounds (e.g. acetic acid). They produced gradually in the package headspace during developing of red dragon fruit. Subsequently, the color of the indicator will change from blue to green for over-ripe indication, which can be visible visually. The results showed that the color indicator could be used to determine the state of ripeness of the red dragon at ambient condition (25±2oC) and chiller condition (4±2oC). The color change of the indicators reflects the pH of headspace of the red dragon packaging. Furthermore, it also in similar trends to the change of several parameters (soluble solids content, pH, texture, sensory evaluation and weight loss) that normally used to characterize the ripeness of red dragon, therefore the indicator can be used for real time visual monitoring of ripeness state of packaged red dragon fruit.

Hubungan antara Paparan Iklan Makanan dan Minuman Ringan di Televisi dengan Perilaku Pemilihan Jajanan pada Anak (The Correlation between the Exposure of Advertisement about Snacks and Soft drinks on Television with Children’s Behavior Taking Snacks: Studi Analitik pada Anak dengan Status Gizi Lebih Sekolah Dasar Jember Lor 01 Patrang Kabupaten Jember (Analytical Study of Children that has Overnutrition Status in the Elementary School of Jember Lor 01 Patrang District of Jember)
Overnutrition status occurs when the intake of food is in excess of daily’s dietary energy. It can make overwight or obesity. One of the factors about it is the media, commercial advertising of snacks and soft drink. The purpose of this study was to analyze the correlation between the exposure of snacks and soft drinks on television with the children’s behavior taking snacks. This study was held at Jember Lor 01’s Elementary School of children with overnutrition status. This study used quantitative analitical and used cross sectional approach. The population of this study were as many as 300 students.The samples of this study were taken by simple random sampling technique in class of 4, 5, and 6. Data were collected by researcher to 82 respondents. The research analysis used Chi Square test at 95% significance level (α = 0.05), but the data not qualify chi-square test. So, this test was replaced with Fisher Exact test. The analysis showed that there was no correlation between the exposure of advertisement about snacks and soft drinks on television with the children’s behavior taking snacks in elementary school of Jember Lor 01 Patrang Distric of Jember.

Efek Analgesik Kombinasi Kurkumin dan Parasetamol pada Mencit yang Diinduksi Asam Asetat menggunakan Isobologram (The Analgesic Effect of Combination of Curcumin and Paracetamol in Acetic acid-induced Mice using Isobolograms)
Paracetamol is a drug that classified as NSAID and commonly used as analgesic agent. These drugs have toxic effects that lead to liver damage. This effects caused by accumulation the metabolite compound of paracetamol, N-acetyl-p-benzoquinone (NAPQI), by cytochrome P450 enzyme. Some studies reported that curcumin have analgesic effects and inhibit action of cytochrome P450 enzyme. The purpose of this study was to determine the analgesic effect of curcumin and paracetamol combination in 27 acetic-acid induced mice. The result of this study showed that 2358,815 µg of curcumin and paracetamol combination can inhibit pain up to 50%. This result is smaller than paracetamol that need 4200 µg to achieve the same pain inhibition. One Way Annova test showed siginificant difference between paracetamol group and combination group. Isobolographic analysis results showed curcumin and paracetamol have synergistic properties in mice acetic-acid induced pain.
