    Makassar Smart City Operation Center Priority Optimization Using Fuzzy Multi-Criteria Decision- Making

    The development of smart city operation room of Makassar possesses several equally important stages which are equally important. There are four stages of development that are 1) data center construction, 2) camera distribution around the city , 3) wall room monitoring construction, and 4) smart operation room architecture construction. Since the time and cost are limited, it forces the project manager to be able to manage and  control the  priority in  conducting the  project. There are several usable criteria to determine the priority in conducting the project development through criteria consideration of the entire project stages. Project priority optimization system aims at making every single project activity effective including its evaluation process. It also exposes a ranking illustration of foremost project priority by providing cost preference of the entire development stages. Fuzzy Multi-Criteria Decision-Making is used to illustrate the project priority rank and further to determine the alternative optimal option in conducting the project. This enforces particular project to  allocate its  cost to  the  project  with  a higher level of cost necessity. The company, therefore, enables to make effective funding for the entire project based on the level of importance and time achievement and subsequently it promotes  accessible  technology integration.  The  conducted experiment suggests that the first construction of the project is data center construction followed by wall room construction and  CCTV  distribution. This  is  relevant  with  optimization value result of data center 0,405 higher than A2 0,42 for wall room construction and A3 CCTV distribution 0,24

    A Comparison of Cloud Execution Mechanisms: Fog, Edge and Clone Cloud Computing

    Cloud computing is a technology that was developed a decade ago to provide uninterrupted, scalable services to  users  and  organizations. Cloud  computing  also  became  an attractive feature for mobile users due to the limited features of mobile devices. The combination of cloud technologies with mobile technologies gave a new area of computing called mobile cloud computing. This  combined technology is  used to augment the resources existing in smart devices. In recent times Fog computing, Edge computing and Clone Cloud computing techniques have become the latest trends after mobile cloud computing, which have all been developed to address the limitations in cloud computing. This paper reviews these recent technologies in detail.     Anti-Cheating Presence System Based on 3WPCA- Dual Vision Face Recognition

    To prevent counterfeit face image on face presence system, we can use dual vision camera in face recognition system. Dual vision camera is used to produce detectable face images from two positions of the left lens and the right lens. Image retrieval at the two corners of the left lens and the right lens can produce a merged face image database of left lens face image and right lens face image. The use of two sides of the face angle taking is used to avoid falsification of facial data such as the use of a face photo of a person or an image similar to a person's face. This research uses a dual-vision face recognition method on its preprocessing and uses 3WPCA (Three Level Wavelet Decomposition - Principal Component Analysis) as its feature extraction model. In dual-vision face recognition, we use half-join method to combine a half of the left image and a half of the right image into an image that is ready to be extracted using 3WPCA. This research can produce a presence system based on good face recognition and can be used to anticipate falsification of face data with recognition accuracy up to 98%

    Performance Measurement Based on Coloured Petri Net Simulation of Scalable Business Processes

    Business process is also a complex area which receives much attention in recent years especially in increasing productivity and saving cost. Meanwhile, situation at the company allows existing business processes to be enlarged. This paper proposed the performance measurement based on coloured petri net simulation of scalable business processes, which has purpose to compare the performance of scalable business processes. For experiments, this paper uses real-world business processes. Then compare it to some business processes that have been enlarged. The result shows that scalable business processes influence the performance of business process. This paper provides feedback to business process developers for determine appropriate business processes based on the performance through coloured petri net simulation

    Performance of Routing Protocol in MANET with Combined Scalable Video Coding

    Development of wireless network technology to support various types of information services continues to increase especially in video streaming services. Video transmission especially in Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) environment used in this research, particularly in the Combined Scalable Video Coding (CSVC) scheme which is a development of H.264 / MPEG-4. The contribution of this research focuses on the analysis of the performance of AODV, DSDV and DSR routing protocols in the MANET environment for CSVC, which is a new scheme in the development of H.264 / MPEG-4  video schemes. Performance evaluation are measured using the NS-2 simulation that supports MANET environment. As test metrics in this study are the end-to- end delay and PSNR. The test result shows the end-to-end delay in AODV is 0.60 seconds; this is lower than results on DSDV and DSR. On PSNR, DSR simulation results show 16.2 dB. This result exceed those in AODV and DSDV. The results of this research evaluation are influenced by channels in wireless networks, the larger the wireless network channel the more streaming video frames can be accepted by the destination node.  

    Integration Protocol Student Academic Information to Campus RFID Gate Pass System

    Nowadays, security is a part that consent by many institution including academic for example in University campus, some  of  campus  have  been  implement  automatic  system  in campus area to control visitor to enter University also for   the staffs and students, but the system is in standalone with introduce new gate pass. Most of University has been use Information Technology (IT) in application for academic system such as student information, registration, results information, etc. In this paper discuss on integration of student information to gate pass system then do not require new card or pass for every student to enter campus area. Gate pass system is required information to match to database that who allow entering to campus, normally a new database is create for the system. In this case, University has student and staff database including lecturer, thus to be efficient the data in existing database can be use and integration using protocol that gate pass system give a command to database as request then verification of those data. Currently, student database stored in server room and the place far away from gate pass system, in order to make it transaction faster for visitor to enter then a mini database is setup onsite of gate system, but periodic updating is require or every new update in database. Results shows, database stored in student information system is more than 30,000 number of student and transaction time is less than 1 second and in average cycle time is 5.5 seconds for motorcycle lane and 7 seconds for car, that mean time for visitor to access gate pass system for entry campus is most reasonable

    with the emergence of e-Learning, governments provide opportunities for online learning, whether formal or informal.  However, most of e-learning systems in Indonesia have been used at formal education environments, today. Therefore, this study proposes an E-Learning model to support non-formal education in Indonesia. This model is called as E-learning for the Equivalency Education Program (E-LEEP) model. The E-LEEP consists of three components: User, Education Program, and Monitoring. The user will be students and tutor. The education program includes Package A,  Package B,  and Package C  for elementary school, junior  high school, and senior  high school respectively. The monitoring will be used by institution and stakeholders. Each component will support the needs of students programs in e-Learning environment, in order to achieve the goal learning

    Gain Enhancement of Octagon Microstrip Yagi Antenna Utilizing 1-D Photonic Crystal (PCs) Cover

    A high gain Octagon Microstrip Yagi Antenna (OMYA) for Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX) application at unlicensed frequency of 5.8 GHz is presented in this paper. The proposed antenna was simulated and optimized using full-wave EM simulator. The simulated results show that the gain of the proposed antenna at frequency of 5.8 GHz is 13.45 dB with S11 of -32.57 dB. Hence, an extra gain of about 5.47 dB can be obtained through this design

    Sensorless Solar Tracker Based on Sun Position for Maximum Energy Conversion

    The performance of solar panels is dependent on sunlight it receives. Therefore, it is necessary to design a device that can set the direction of the solar panel always follows the sun position based solar tracker. The two-axis sensorless trackers have used in this research to produce maximum energy conversion. Position of solar panel move based on sun position using sunrise and sunset database. By using linear interpolation the sun position in latitute and longitude for other time can be obtained during a day. Based on these value the solar panel set its position using two servo motor which drived by Arduino. This technique independent from weather conditions, although cloudy, panel position remains consistent with the maximum illumination when the weather is sunny back later. By this way, the solar panel absorbs maximum sunlight and generate maximum electricity

    Design of Massive Actuators For 3D Robot Manipulators

    In this paper, a novel parallel manipulator with discrete control system is developed. An efficient method such as Inverse Static Analysis (ISA) is employed to determine the state of each actuator on parallel manipulator when the position or force of manipulator is already known. The designing a parallel manipulator with 16 actuators which are controlled discretely is a must because the mechanism will use artificial methods in dealing with the ISA problem. In this approach, mathematical model is not required. The research method used simulation software and hardware testing with the case of parallel manipulator with 16 actuators. Simulations with typical desired force inputs are presented and a good performance of the mechanism is obtained. The results showed that the parallel manipulator has the Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) has less than 3% and can be used for artificial intelligence implementation
