Food Traceability and Security in Supply Chain Using RFID Technology
In recent year due to high demand of food product especially agricultural food then supplied from various countries or regions and lands. Some cases facing out such as on delivery, food safety and consumer care. Thus, agricultural food product safety, traceability and monitoring system is required for food product. In this paper propose a system for food traceability and security in supply chain using RFID technology, where a tag attached to every bucket or packet of food product as identification for product source, batch and expire date. Every process in supply chain of food product identified by RFID reader and scanning the tags then all scanned data send to centralized database for product information. In retail store consumer be able to check food product detail especially expire date and in case of food issues happen supplier easly identified source of product. Beside identification and product safety, delivery can be monitoring by agent as every bucket tagged by an RFID tag. By using this system benefit for the consumer, supplier and authority for identification and monitoring system
Pulses Model of Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM)
This article presents a model of pulses inElectrical Discharge Machining (EDM) system. There areseveral mathematical models have been successfully developedbased on the initial, ignition and discharge phase of currentand voltage gap. According to these models, the circuitschematic of transistor pulse power generator has beendesigned using electrical model in Matlab Simulink software toidentify the profile of voltage and current during machiningprocess. Then, the simulation results are compared withexperimental results
Simulation of Distance Relay Operation on Fault Condition in MATLAB Software/Simulink
In this paper a distance relay is simulated in theproposed transmission line protection which is combinationof overhead line and significant part of underground cable.Transmission line is modeled as distributed parameter insteadof lumped parameter to have more accurate analysis compareto conventional analysis. Voltage and current are sampled atrelay point. But, high charging current of cable affects distancerelay operation. Using appropriate filtering can reduce chargingcurrent effect on distance relay. Simulated impedance will becompared with positive sequence impedance of power system inorder to evaluate simulated relay. The relay shows a good resultfor faults in zone 1, but high resistance faults force distance relayto mis-operation
Assistive Social Robots for People with Special needs
An increasing number of elderly people leads todemand for social robots to support health care and independentlife. An overview of various potential applications of social robotsis provided in this paper. In addition, the latest research progressin our institute is presented, i.e., multi-party interaction, gesturerecognition, affective computing, and attention capture. All theresearch and applications demonstrate that social robots are goodassistive robots for people with special needs
Contouring Performance Study of a Fuzzy-based Practical Controller on an X-Y Table
This article presents a contouring performance of an improved practical fuzzy-based nominal characteristic trajectory following (NCTF) controller. The proposed fuzzy-based NCTF controller structure for continuous motion control is slightly different from the normal NCTF controller. It is composed of a nominal characteristic trajectory (NCT) and a fuzzy compensator designed using the practical design approach. Therefore, simple and easy of controller design are maintained. The NCT constructed through establishing procedure and the Mamdani type fuzzy compensator is designed according to the available information provided by NCT and the hardware specification. The contouring performance was evaluated by measuring the response of the system providing circle shape through simulation. The simulation result shows that the controller is promising as a practical controller for continuous motion
Automatic Human Joint Detection Using Microsoft Kinect
Automatic human joint detection has been used in many application nowadays. In this paper, we propose an approach to detect full body human joint method using depth and color image. The proposed solution is divided into 3 stage, which is image preprocess stage, distance transform stage, and anthropometric constraint analysis stage. The output of our solution is a stickman model with the same pose as in the given input image. Our implementation is done by using a Microsoft Kinect RGB and depth camera with 480x640 image resolution. The performance of this solution is demonstrated on several human posture
Location Based Service for Information Publication Using GPS on Android-Based Mobile Phone
The increasing development of mobile technology makes some technology capable to running on multiple mobile platforms. One of them is Location Based Service. Location Based Service is a service provided by the position of the user. One of the utilization of Location Based Service technology is a publication of public information. This information may include important information such as hotels, gas stations, ATMs, and Event. Location Based Service is very dependent on the user's position, therefore, the accuracy of component positioning should be accurate enough. By default configurations android GPS accuracy is not very good, needed tweaking to minimize errors in accuracy. To measure the accuracy shift used haversine formula. Haversine formula is a method to measure the distance between two points on the sphere based on its latitude and longitude. Based on test results without tweaking the maximum accuracy shift is 30 meters while with tweaking only 11 meters. Average accuracy shift without tweaking is 18 meters down to 8 meters using tweaking. Thus the process of tweaking can improve the accuracy of GPS
Characterization of Capacitor-based Reconfigurable Frequency Selective Surfaces
In this paper, the characterization of reconfigurablefrequency selective surfaces (FSS) based on capacitoris numerically investigated. The capacitor is applied to controlthe characteristic response, i.e. reflectivity, of FSS. A simplerectangular patch with the total length of 130mm and thewidth of 0.6mm which has 2 resonant frequencies at 2.4GHzand 4GHz is used as basis of reconfigurable FSS construction. The investigation is conducted by varying the patch shape andthe capacitance value. The relationship of patch shape and thepresence of capacitor to the characteristic response of FSS isanalyzed, first, by proposing the initial construction which isdivided into 2 identical parts. Secondly, the variation of up andbottom width of patch without modifying the center side, so theconstruction becomes a bow-tie shape, is carried out. In the last, acapacitor is applied in the middle of patch to obtain the variationof characteristic response. From the characterization result, itshows that the higher capacitance value affects to the reflectivityof lower frequency response
Electrical Discharge Machining Flyback Converter using UC3842 Current Mode PWM Controller
This paper presents a current mode Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) controlled Flyback converter using UC3842 for Electrical Discharge Machining current generator control circuit. Circuit simplicity and high efficiency can be achieved by a Flyback converter with current mode PWM controller. The behaviors of the system's operation is analyzed and discussed by varying the load resistance. Matlab software is used to simulate the Flyback converter where a prototype has been built and tested to verify it's performance
