Service Quality of Border Region Higher Education Libraries
The quality of a qualified library makes the library as one of the centers of information for the general public. This study aims to determine how well the quality of library services, to find out how high the interest in reading students, and to determine the effect of the quality of college library services on strengthening the reading interest of students in the Library at the University of Timor Library UPT. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a sample of 100 students. Data collection was carried out through observation, interview, documentation and questionnaire techniques. The data that has been collected is processed using descriptive statistical analysis techniques and inferential statistics. The results showed that the quality of library services at the University of Timor in the border area was in the quite good category with an average of 33.48. Student reading interest is in quite a good category with a mean value of 20, 56. The level of relationship or correlation between the quality of library services at the University of Timor in the border region to the interest in reading students at the University Library of Timor is in the strong category correlation with intervals of 0.60-0.799 means that the higher the quality of library services at the University of Timor in the border region, the higher the interest in reading students in the Library.
The Influence of Current Ratio and Debt to Asset Ratio on Return on Assets at PT Selaras Aditama
This study aims to determine the effect of current ratio and debt to asset ratio on return on assets at PT Seelaras Aditama. The method used was explanatory research with a sample of 85 respondents. The analysis technique uses statistical analysis with regression testing, correlation, determination and hypothesis testing. The results of this study current ratio have a significant effect on return on assets by 7.3%, the hypothesis test obtained a significance of 0,000 <0.05. Debt to asset ratio has a significant effect on return on assets of 55.1%, the hypothesis test obtained a significance of 0,000 <0.05. Current ratio and debt to asset ratio simultaneously have a significant effect on return on assets by 96.7%, hypothesis testing obtained significance of 0,000 <0.05
The Influence of Discipline and Motivation on Employee Performance in PT Panca Usaha Lestari in Jakarta
Enforcing discipline is important for the company, because discipline contains rules that employees must obey. This study aims to determine the effect of discipline and motivation on employee performance at PT. Panca Usaha Sustainable in Jakarta. The method used was explanatory research with a sample of 62 respondents. The analysis technique uses statistical analysis with regression testing, correlation, determination and hypothesis testing. The results of this study have a significant effect on discipline employee performance by 47.1%, hypothesis testing obtained significance 0,000 <0.05. Motivation has a significant effect on employee performance by 38.7%, hypothesis testing obtained significance 0,000 <0.05. Discipline and simultaneous significant effect on employee performance by 56.9%, hypothesis testing obtained significance of 0,000 <0.05
Capability Development Efforts of Human Resources in Furniture Industry at Leilem Village Minahasa Regency
The main problem of research is the development of human resources to improve the ability of furniture industry workers at Leilem Village Minahasa Regency. The research objective is to find out the steps taken to improve the ability of workers as human resources to support work productivity of workers and to determine the obstacles faced in efforts to improve the ability of workers and to find out the efforts made to overcome obstacles related to develop resource capabilities in the furniture industry at Leilem village. The research method is qualitative. The technique of determining the data source sample namely, the main data collection procedures or techniques used were observation, interviews, documentation studies, and triangulation techniques. Data analysis uses steps from Milles and Huberman. Data analysis activities conducted in three stages, namely: first; data reduction, second; data display and third; drawing conclusions and verification. Data source: Government, furniture entrepreneurs, workers. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion of the results of the research, the following research conclusions can be put forward: 1) Important steps were taken by the manager of the furniture business unit at the village of Leilem to develop the ability of workers to plan development and develop workers. This is done due to workers are very important human resources and determine the progress of the business. 2) The obstacles are; lack of work motivation, the number of orders for goods from consumers, as a result, it is difficult to determine the time for worker coaching, and the length or, time to be spent by workers in doing furniture business jobs, consequently it is also difficult to determine the time for worker coaching. 3) Efforts made by the managers of the furniture industry business to overcome various obstacles encountered in increasing the ability of workers are by providing motivation to workers and managing work time for workers
Knowledge Management: Sustainable Human Resource Development in Public Sector Organizations
Knowledge management in public sector organizations is needed to improve the quality of human resources and the quality of public services. This paper aims to explain the main principles and strategies for developing sustainable management of knowledge in order to improve the quality of human resources in public sector organizations. The method used is descriptive method, which describes the strategy of developing sustainable management of knowledge from various literatures related to human resource development. The results of the literature review show that knowledge management needs to be applied and developed sustainably in every public sector organization. The quality of human resources can be improved through structured knowledge management, as well as public services can increase in line with the increase in the ability or competence of human resources for their work. Human resource governance plays an important role in building a culture of public sector organizations based on knowledge (knowledge culture). Knowledge management can be a solution to reduce the stigma of public sector organizations that are generally rigid, slow, and complicated
Public Services at Airmadidi District Office North Minahasa Regency
The purpose of this study was to assess public service to the public at the Airmadidi district office in North Minahasa Regency by emphasizing the motivation and discipline factors of employees. Research methodology with a qualitative approach establishes data sources on structural, non-structural employees, and the community. Data collection was conducted using interview observation and documentation. The results showed that public services at the Airmadidi district office had run accordingly in terms of covering the performance and responsibilities of employees in public services. The effect of Training and Placement of Employees on Employee Performance in PT. Bank Danamon tbk, Kuningan-Jakarta
This research aims to study the training and placement of employees at PT. Bank Danamon Tbk, Kuningan-Jakarta. The method used is explanatory research with a sample of 55 respondents. The analysis technique uses statistical analysis with regression testing, evaluation, determination and hypothesis testing. The results of this study significantly improved employee performance by 48.3%, the hypothesis test obtained significance of 0,000 <0.05. Significant job placement on employee performance by 34.4%, hypothesis testing obtained significance of 0,000 <0.05. Training and work placement is significant on employee performance by 56.2%, hypothesis testing obtained significance 0,000 <0.05
Influence of Compensation on Work Performance in the District Office of Bissappu, Bantaeng Regency
The potential of every human resource in each office must be utilized as well as possible so as to provide optimal output. This study aims to determine the effect of compensation on employee performance in the Bissappu District Office, Bantaeng Regency. This study uses a quantitative approach with a population of 52 and determining the amount of 5 percent of the population so that 46 samples are obtained. Of the 46 samples 44 of them were made as Respondents and 2 were used as Informants. Data collection techniques observation, questionnaire, interview, and documentation, while the data analysis technique used is the percentage statistics. The results showed that the effect of compensation in the District Office of Bissappu in Bantaeng Regency was classified as very high in terms of indicators of direct compensation and indirect compensation. The work performance of employees in the Bissappu District Office of Bantaeng Regency is classified in the very high category in terms of indicators of work quality, work quantity, level of reliability, and attitude. Hypothesis testing results indicate that there is a significant relationship between compensation for employee performance in the District Office of Bissappu, Bantaeng Regency
Analysis of Genesis Rain in Spring Transition in Makassar
Extreme weather in this case heavy rains is common in the city of Makassar, both of which resulted in a flood or no flood. This type of research is descriptive research that aims to describe the incidence of rain in the transition season in Makassar. The source of data used in obtaining data on research in Makassar is secondary data. His research methods such as analysis method is based on monthly rainfall data to determine the monthly rainfall pattern using the Log Pearson III distribution methods and daily rainfall data duration of 3 hours early to analyze the frequency of rain by using Gumbel distribution methods. Based on the results in a graph of monthly rainfall patterns in the city of Makassar in the year (1985-2014) for 30 years and chart the frequency of daily rainfall duration 3 hours late in the year (2005 to 2014) for 10 years in the transition season in the city of Makassar, we can conclude that monthly rainfall patterns in Makassar is a monsoonal pattern with the second-largest peak intensity of rainfall occurs in January and December and the smallest intensity of rainfall occurs in August
The Development Strategy for the Food and Beverage Service Study Program as One of the Superior Study Programs at the Politeknik Pariwisata Makassar
The interest of students to continue studying at the Politeknik Pariwisata Makassar is very large and increases from year to year.. This study aims to formulate a development strategy for the Food and Beverage Service Management study program as one of the superior study programs at Makassar Tourism Polytechnic. This research uses descriptive quantitative method. Respondents in this study totaled 241 consisting of 140 male respondents and 101 female respondents who were a combination of students, lecturers/staff of the Food and Beverage Service Management study program at Makassar Tourism Polytechnic, hotel/restaurant employees, entrepreneurs, employees of other companies, and that hasn't worked. The data collection techniques used in this study were: questionnaires, interviews, Focus Group Discussion (FGD), and literature study. The data analysis technique was carried out in three stages, namely the input stage, the matching stage and the decision stage. The conclusion of this research is that the analysis results from the IFAS matrix show that the strength factor of the study program is much greater than the weakness factor so that the study program has strengths or advantages that can be developed. Meanwhile, the results of the analysis from the EFAS matrix show that the opportunities the study program has are greater than the threat factors so that the study program has a greater chance of being developed. As for the results of the QSPM matrix analysis, the TAS value that has been listed is that the W-O strategy gets the highest value of 6,354, the W-T strategy is 6,027 then the S-O strategy is 5,976 and finally the S-T strategy is 5,869. That is, the development strategy of the MTH study program is compiled in 14 priority strategies from 20 formulated strategies consisting of the W - O Strategy (5 strategies), the W - T Strategy (4 strategies), the S - O Strategy (3 strategies), and the S - T (2 strategies)
