An Analysis of the Communication of Provincial Identities in Mascots to Promote Tourism in Thailand
This research analyzed the communication of provincial identities in mascots to promote tourism in Thailand through the conceptual frameworks of semiotic theory and identity concept. It is a qualitative research using an analysis of mascot components, an analysis of provincial identities that appear in the mascots, and in-depth interviews. The tools used consisted of a symbolic component analysis table with provincial identities and in-depth interviews. The sample group consisted of 23 mascots and 5 policymakers and mascot designers. Results of the study revealed that senders use mascots that are cute, friendly, and straightforward. Most of the senders use the encoding of sign in the icon level that looks like or resembles real objects to make them interesting and easy to understand. In addition, there is the encoding of sign in the index level that is reduced from real objects into patterns of costumes and accessories that make the mascots stand out. In terms of provincial identities, it was found that the meanings of the various symbols are transmitted in the dimensions of bringing up the distinctive identities of the province in seven aspects: 1) traditions and beliefs, 2) archaeological sites and antiques, 3) food and products, 4) famous tourist attractions, 5) costumes, 6) art and culture, and 7) other identities

This study explored the trace of Peranakan heritage in the Andaman provincial cluster and presented the Cultural and Historical Trail Map of Peranakan heritage in Andaman provincial cluster. The concept of development communication objectives was used to create a research framework. Research results in the "complement" phase showed 117 traces of Peranakan heritage in the Andaman provincial cluster. As for the "facilitate" phase, 83 sites were qualified. An analysis of the relationship of qualified sites with Peranakan culture revealed five significant connections between each location and culture: 1) Peranakan ancestral monument, 2) Peranakan shrine, 3) Sino-European architectural building, 4) Peranakan residential areas, and 5) Peranakan cultural and historical learning center. Upon completion of the last phase, "extend," 6 tourist maps were created to display 8 cultural sites in Ranong province, 15 sites in Phang Nga province, 33 sites in Phuket province, 8 sites in Krabi province, 14 sites in Trang province, and 4 sites in Satun province, respectively. This study, thus, has produced a visual map in each province which is a catalytic communication tool to promote tourism development at the regional level and national level
Green Open Space Collaborative Governance: a Systematic Literature Review
This research aims to find out the collaborative governance of green open space has been running well but not optimal in its implementation. This study uses systematic literature review as the basic basis to make it easier for researchers /students to be able to review and identify scientific articles systematically with predetermined steps. This study revealed that there were 124 articles selected from 378 articles relevant to the topics discussed The results of the analysis resulted in 3 different clusters in 38 concepts relevant to the collaborative governance study of green open space. Density visualization mode, there is no dominating author in reviewing author data mapping according to the theme of green open space collaborative governance. This Paper, has limited articles to support literature review, total articles obtained through the scopus database not all of them have related topics that will be used to conduct research, so researchers have difficulty in conducting analysis. Researchers\u27 recommendations on further research need to use analysis by adding several articles that have the same relevance in some sources of scientific articles to make it easier to conduct concrete data analysis
DOES TELEVISION PROMOTE DEAGRARIANIZATION? Understanding Rural-Youth Perception Towards the Agricultural-livelihood information on Television
The phenomenon of the high number of rural-youth migration from rural areas need to be studied from the perspective on how the agricultural livelihood is constructed by actors within the village. (3) Perceptions of rural youth on agricultural information representations on television. This research was conducted in Ciasmara village, Pamijahan District, Bogor Regency from March 2020 to August 2020 using quantitative research methods with a descriptive-comparative approach. 120 youth were selected as research samples. This research found that some of rural-youth in Ciasmara village admitted to having watched agricultural programs on television either on the news or in other programs in the last six months. Analysis of Innovation Attributes in The Innovation Adoption of Agricultural Mechanization Technology in Farmers
In the last 4-6 years, the government has provided an agricultural mechanization assistance through the Ministry of Agriculture to Gapoktan, Poktan or the Agricultural Equipment and Machinery Service Business (UPJA). Assistance is provided in order to support increased production and productivity of superior commodities. It is suspected that the use of alsintan has not been optimally utilized. In order to optimize the utilization of this government innovation, the optimization is carried out by analyzing the adoption and the use of alsintan and implementing the optimization of machinery. This study is limited to character analysis of the innovation that affects the speed of adoption of alsintan innovation in farmers in Bogor, Sukabumi and Cianjur districts. The unit of research analysis was individual alsintan user farmers. The samples were determined purposively. There were 158 selected respondents. The descriptive statistical analysis used was Microsoft Excel 2016. The results showed there were some influences of innovation attributes on the adoption of two-wheeled hand tractor and water pump innovations. Farmers can make use of innovation because it reduces production costs, makes work easier, and increases production. Besides, it is easy to use and easy to test; and the results are easy to see. Further research is needed to analyze the environment, organizations and individuals as the driving factors for innovation adoption. In the last 4-6 years, the government has provided an agricultural mechanization assistance through the Ministry of Agriculture to Gapoktan, Poktan or the Agricultural Equipment and Machinery Service Business (UPJA).
