Problem Based Learning Model in Natural Science Learning in Elementary Schools: Systematic Literature Review & Bibliometric Analysis
Problem-Based Learning is a teaching method or model that involves using situations or problems as the starting point for learning. To ensure optimal learning outcomes, an effective approach is to apply a learning model that supports the learning process, one of which is the Problem-Based Learning model. This study aims to identify the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning model in Natural Science education at the elementary school level in improving learning outcomes and 21st-century skills (critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration) by using bibliometric analysis as the analytical approach and Systematic Literature Review with the PRISMA method (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis). The databases used include Publish or Perish and Google Scholar, while bibliometric analysis is conducted using VOSViewer. The Problem-Based Learning model has been proven to enhance critical and creative thinking skills as well as students' learning outcomes
Pengembangan Modul Berbasis Kearifan Lokal "Nyadran" di Kabupaten Lamongan Tema 3 Subtema 1 Kelas V SD Negeri Pangkatrejo
The integration of science learning through experimental activities is crucial in enhancing students' understanding of natural product chemistry. This study explores the antioxidant potential of Centella asiatica (Gotu kola) extract as a contextual learning medium in scientific education. Centella asiatica is a medicinal plant widely used in traditional medicine for its bioactive compounds, including triterpenoids, flavonoids, alkaloids, and saponins, which exhibit significant antioxidant properties. This study aims to evaluate and compare the antioxidant activity of C. asiatica extracts obtained using three different solvents: 70% ethanol, N-hexane, and ethyl acetate, utilizing the DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl) method. Antioxidant activity was assessed based on the ability of the extract to scavenge DPPH radicals, measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 517 nm. The findings revealed that all extracts exhibited antioxidant activity, with the 70% ethanol extract demonstrating the highest potency, achieving an IC50 value of 19.50 µg/ml, compared to N-hexane and ethyl acetate extracts. These results highlight the potential of C. asiatica as a natural antioxidant source, relevant for health product development and scientific experimentation in educational settings. This study underscores the importance of incorporating laboratory-based research into science curricula to enhance students' analytical and experimental skills while fostering an appreciation for the application of natural product research in health sciences.Penelitian dan pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kevalidan, kepraktisan serta keefektifan modul berbasis kearifan lokal “Nyadran” di Kabupaten Lamongan pada materi interaksi sosial. Analisis Kemampuan Membaca Permulaan Pada Siswa Kelas I MI Mahir Ar Riyadl Surabaya
This research aims to determine the influence of visual design on students' interest in learning in elementary schools, especially on the use of colors and shapes in learning materials. Attractive visual designs are believed to increase students' interest and understanding, which in turn can improve their learning outcomes. This research used an experimental design with two groups, namely the experimental class which received visual design treatment and the control class which used conventional learning materials. Data was collected through pretests and posttests given before and after treatment. The results showed that there were significant differences between the experimental class and the control class. In the pretest, the average score of the experimental class was 3.26 points higher with a value of t = 2.584 and p = 0.013, while in the posttest, the difference in the average score increased to 11.12 points with a value of t = 4.215 and p = 0.000. These findings indicate that the use of attractive visual design can improve student learning outcomes, especially in material presented with visual elements such as color and shape. This research supports theories which state that good visual design can increase students' motivation, interest and understanding in the learning process. Development of STEM-Based Science Learning Integrating Local Wisdom through Interactive Pop-Up Book in Elementary Schools
This study aims to develop STEM-based science learning devices integrated with Madurese local wisdom through interactive pop-up book media for elementary school students. The background of this study is the limited use of contextual learning resources and innovative media in elementary science instruction, which affects students’ engagement and conceptual understanding. This research employed a Research and Development (RD) method using the ADDIE model, consisting of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The developed learning devices included teaching modules, interactive pop-up books, student worksheets, and assessment instruments. The validation results from material experts, media experts, and learning experts indicated that the learning devices were highly valid. Student responses showed a very positive perception of the learning process, and learning outcomes improved after the implementation of the developed devices. The integration of STEM principles with Madurese local wisdom—such as coastal ecosystems, salt production, and fishermen’s activities—made science learning more meaningful and contextual. Therefore, the developed STEM-based science learning devices integrated with local wisdom are feasible and effective for use in elementary school science learning
Integration of Cultural Literacy of The Sumenep Palace Museum in Learning Social Sciences in Primary Schools

Advanced Reading Skills Using The Whole Language Approach With Interactive Powerpoint Media in Elementary Schools
This study was motivated by the lack of advanced reading skills among students, which is attributed to two aspects: teacher-related and student-related factors during the learning process. From the teacher’s perspective, there was insufficient attention to students' learning styles, a lack of implementing a 15-minute reading activity before lessons, and a tendency to deliver materials and explanations without utilizing any media during teaching. From the students’ perspective, it was observed that students often played during lessons and found reading less engaging. The aim of this research is to improve advanced reading skills using the whole language approach with interactive PowerPoint media. The research method employed was Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted in two cycles. Data collection techniques included observation, tests, and documentation. The results showed an improvement in advanced reading skills after implementing the whole language approach with interactive PowerPoint media. During the first cycle, the results of advanced reading skills in the Indonesian language subject for Grade IV students at SDN Malangga showed a completion rate of 70% based on assessments conducted over three sessions. In the second cycle, the students' advanced reading skills improved, with the completion rate increasing to 90%. This demonstrates that the use of the whole language approach with interactive PowerPoint media can significantly enhance students' advanced reading skills
