The Influence of Survey, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite, and Review (SQ4R) Strategy on Elementary School Students' Sight Reading Skills
The problem in this research is that elementary school students' sight reading skills are still not optimal. The reason is that in skim reading skills, students are less motivated to read the text, students have difficulty understanding the content of the text, and students have difficulty in concluding the content of the text. Students' lack of motivation in sight reading is one of the factors that causes students' sight reading skills to not be optimal. This research aims to determine whether there is an influence of the SQ4R) strategy on students' skim reading skills in elementary schools. This type of research is Quasi Experimental Design with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design research design. The population of this study were elementary school students with the sampling technique being random sampling. Data obtained with the final test were analyzed using the t test. The results of the research using normality and homogeneity tests on both data were normally and homogeneously distributed. Next, a hypothesis test was carried out with the t-test showing tcount= 3.731 and ttable= 1.688 with df= 38 (n1 + n2 – 2 = 19+19-2=36) and a significance level of 5%. Based on testing tcount ttable (3,731 1,688), H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted with the conclusion that there is an influence of the Survey, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite, and Review (SQ4R) strategy on students' short- online reading skills in elementary schools
Patrol Music as an Educational Medium for Exploring History, Cultural Values, and Musical Functions in Primary Schools
Traditional arts hold a vital role in preserving cultural identity and fostering character education in early schooling. Patrol music, a community-based percussive ensemble developed in local traditions, offers rich historical, cultural, and educational values that remain underutilized in formal education. This study investigates the potential of patrol music as a pedagogical medium in elementary school education. This study employs a qualitative approach using the literature review method. Academic journals, books, and institutional reports were analyzed to examine the historical development, cultural significance, and pedagogical relevance of patrol music within the framework of contextual and thematic learning. The findings reveal that patrol music does not only serve as an engaging tool to contextualize subjects (e.g. Social Studies, Civic Education, and Arts), but it is also as a medium to cultivate students’ social-emotional skills, including cooperation, empathy, and cultural pride. Integrating it into the school curriculum could align with character education and local wisdom-based learning emphasized in curriculum policy in Indonesia. To maximize the educational potential of patrol music, some strategic actions are recommended, such as administering teacher training, developing local-based learning resources, and encouraging collaboration with cultural communities. These steps are critical in revitalizing traditional arts education and reinforcing cultural resilience among younger generations
Application of Axiological Values in Character-Based Education Management
Education management is strategically important not only for cognitive transfer but also for cultivating students' moral character, especially in addressing current educational practices that often overlook the axiological dimension (values related to goodness, ethics, and humanity). This study aims (1) to comprehensively describe the form and role of axiological values in character-based education management; (2) to analyze the application of these values in managerial practices, including policy planning, implementation, and evaluation; and (3) to formulate a conceptual model for the sustainable application of axiological values to strengthen character-based education management. This research employed a qualitative method with a descriptive-philosophical approach to profoundly understand the relationship between values, morals, and educational managerial practices. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, documentation study, and literature review. The findings indicate that the application of axiological values encompasses three core domains: the institutional value foundation (e.g., religiosity, honesty, responsibility), managerial implementation (e.g., democratic and humanistic leadership), and the formation of a character-based organizational culture (inclusive and collaborative). Philosophical reflection confirms that these values serve as an ethical compass in managerial decision-making, enhancing individual morality and strengthening institutional effectiveness. In conclusion, the research confirms the strategic importance of integrating axiological values to create a system that is not only functionally effective but also humanistic, moral, and sustainable, contributing a conceptual model for future education development

Development of the Spiritual Dimension in Education
This research analyzes spiritual development in Islamic education through literature studies, examining its philosophical foundations and implementation at various levels of education. The content analysis uncovers key themes, research gaps, and modern challenges such as digitalization, AI, and technological ethical issues. The results show that Islamic education integrates spiritual, moral, and intellectual values through the principles of Tawheed, Tarbiyah, Tazkiyah, and Ta'lim, as well as the framework of Maqasid al-Sharia, with spiritual intelligence playing an important role in the emotional and moral development of students. The integration of spiritual values is effective through a holistic curriculum, regular activities, a supportive environment, and the role of educators. However, technology presents challenges related to privacy, algorithmic bias, and depth of spiritual experience, so digital ethics, pedagogical innovation, and educator competency enhancement are needed. The research emphasizes the need for measurable spiritual implementation models, comprehensive evaluation instruments, and follow-up studies to realize holistic and sustainable Islamic education. This research analyzes spiritual development in Islamic education through literature studies, examining its philosophical foundations and implementation at various levels of education. Development of CTL-Based Teaching Modules to Improve Learning Outcomes of Phase B Elementary Students
This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of phase B elementary school students in the IPAS subject, particularly on the water cycle topic. This study aims to develop a teaching module based on Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) to improve students' learning outcomes. The method used is Design and Development (DD) with the ADDIE model, which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The results show that the CTL-based teaching module is highly feasible to use, with an average validation score of 91.66%. Furthermore, the N-Gain test results indicate an improvement in students' learning outcomes with a score of 0.66, categorized as moderate. This study recommends using CTL-based teaching modules as an alternative approach to enhance understanding and learning outcomes in IPAS subjects
