    This study aimed to examine (1) perception and public response to forest management activities undertaken by companies IUPHHK PT. Suka Jaya Makmur . ( 2 ) The relationship between the public perception of the public response to the activities of the holder IUPHHK PT. Suka Jaya Makmur. Determining the location of the observations were made at random by taking samples at specific locations. Based on the public perception of the value of the public response to the activity obtained IUPHHK holder PT. Suka Jaya Makmur tend to Neutral. Based on the overall perception of value indicators such as employment opportunities, business opportunities, income, social services , TPTJ, an Environmental damage, and the potential for REDD emission reductions of the public perception of the activity obtained IUPHHK holder PT. Hasil research based work opportunities, business opportunities, social services, TPTJ system, as well as REDD emissions reduction by calculating Chi Square X2 hitung > X2 tabel the relationship with the public response to the activities of the holder IUPHHK PT. Suka Jaya Makmur at the significant level of 95%, with provisional estimates received by the results of research that associative hypothesis is accepted, while the level of income and the absence of environmental damage relations with the public response.     KEMAMPUAN TANAMAN Shorea leprosula DALAM MENYERAP CO2 DI PT SUKA JAYA MAKMUR KABUPATEN KETAPANG

    This study aims to look at the content and potential of biomass and carbon stored in forest stumpage meranti, to see the potential of meranti wood plant stand to absorb CO2 from the atmosphere, and to develop allometric equations of potential biomass, carbon stocks and sequestration of CO2 by growth dimensions (diameter) for the relationship between the diameter of the potential of biomass, the relationship between the diameter of the carbon potential, and the relationship between the diameter of the CO2 sequestration potential .. The results showed that the potential of tree biomass (kg / ha) on the plant Shorea leprosula based on 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 and 8 age classes ranging from 1787.39 to 16.74 gr. While the carbon potential crop trees Shorea leprosula ranged from 1046.13 to 10.88 kg. Potential plant Shorea leprosula 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 and 8 year old to absorb CO2 (kg / tonne) from the atmosphere ranges from 4243.7 to 58.97 kg. Allometric equations that manggambarkan-diameter tree biomass relationship is Y = 63.180 D1, 680. Allometric equations that manggambarkan-carbon tree diameter relationship is Y = 33.627 D1, 683.     TOLERANSI SIMPUR AIR (Dillenia suffruticosa) TERHADAP BERBAGAI KONSENTRASI HgCl2 DI MEDIA TAILING

    Research on Dillenia suffruticosa tolerance for Hg in the tailing was conducted in July to August 2012 at Tanjungpura University Pontianak. This research aimed to determine the tolerance of D. suffruticosa to Hg. It used Randomized Completely Design (RCD) with 5 level Hg concentration (0, 10, 20, 30, and 40 ppm) and 3 replications. Data analyzed use Anova test and Duncan test to see D.suffruticosa poisoning symptoms to Hg concentration. The results was that the whole plants showed symptoms of Hg posioned, especially in 30 and 40 ppm. D. suffruticosa can be concidered as phytoremediation agent for Hg contaminated land but less tolerance to high Hg concentration.     The research was conducted at Princess Beach tourist area in the district Serayi South Jawai Sambas district, for 2 (two) weeks from the date field effective December 20, 2012 to complete. This research aims to obtain data on the assessment of the potential attraction located in the District Serayi Princess Beach Tourism South Jawai Sambas district for the development of tourism in the area. The benefit of this study is to provide information about the potential that can be used as a tourist attraction in the area contained Serayi Princess Beach tourist area.     Tayan Downstream is one of the District that is located in Regency Sanggau, West Borneo. In the Tayan Downstream there are several Lakes that each has its own potential, one of which is Lake Bekat. In the Tayan Downstream there are several Lake sthate ach has its own potential,one of which is Lake Bekat. In Lake Bekat there are many types of fishe specially the most prominent is Toman (Orheichepalus micropeltes), Kerandang (Ophiocephalus pleurophthamus) and Biawan (Hellostomata temincki). With the vastexpanse of nature through out the area + 2136.52 Ha and the beautiful scenery around the Lake,Because in the absence of Tayan Downstream nature associated with water attractions (Lake) there should be an assessment of the potential for tourist attraction on Lake Bekat. This study aims to identify andassess the potential attractiveness Lake Bekat to be developed as a tourist attractionand from this study are expected to provide information about the potential value for development Lake Bekat attractions. Thi sresearch uses descriptive methods and techniques of data collection in the field using the method of observation.From theresults of the study obtaineda value of135.98.This value is multiplied by the weighting criteria appeal to the area that is 6so135.98 x 6=815.9 or C.     The big companies which are work in the forestry field has been applying the SILIN to solve of decrease the woodsproblem. Shorea leprosulaMiq.is one species is planted by those companies, it usually called as plantation forest of S. leprosula. The aim of this research is to investigate the physical (moisture content, density, water absorption, thickness swelling) and mechanical (MOE,MOR,IB, screw holding strength) properties of three layers particleboard made from S. leprosula from plantation forest,with various density. The density consist of 0.6 gr/cm3; 0.7 gr/cm3 and 0.8 gr/cm3. Three layers particleboard were fulfil the requirement the JIS A 5908-2003, except for MOE and thickness swelling at the density of 0.6 gr/cm3. The results were indicated that the particleboard ofS.leprosula from natural forest better than plantation forest and have different, especially in terms of thickness swelling, water absorbtion and IB. Particleboards from plantation forest with the optimal density has produced with optimum density 0.7 gr/cm3, that aremoisture content7.24% ; density 0.66 gr/cm3; thickness swelling dari 26.31%; water absorption 76.34%; MOE 24781.86 kg/cm2; MOR 227.35 kg/cm2; IB 4.38 kg/cm2 ; and screw holding 77.13 kg. This study was conducted to obtain data on the value of appeal contained in the Red Zone Air Travel for tourism development in particular in the hamlet Kab'Landak Mungguk. The method used was a descriptive analytic, ie with the intention of explaining all potential objects of research that has been observed and analyzed by using standard observation guidelines Raw Size or Standard Assessment and Development of Natural Attraction. Assessment consists of natural beauty, unique natural resources, natural resources stand, the integrity of natural resources, sensitive natural resources, choice of leisure activities, hygiene and local air and space for visitors. This value is multiplied by the weighting criteria appeal to the area that is 6, so the value for the area of ??regional attractiveness criteria Ecotourism Air Merah to 123.15 X 6 = 738.9, as compared with the Classification element Object Development Ecotourism Nature Air, the area Red area has an appeal that is being (D) to be developed into a natural tourist attraction.     Forest benefits especially in national park such as recreation facilities, watersheds, protection of ecological proces, biodiversity, education and research as well as the future of collateral value is valued lower because still many people who dont understand the value of the various benefits of Forest Resources especially the benefits of water. To understand the benefits of Forest Resources will require an assessment of all the resulting benefits.The research objectives are to examine the influence of socioeconomic factors on domestic water and fish cages consumption, calculate the economic value of water for domestic and fish cages as well as examine the contribution of the use of water to communities in the TNDS SPTN Region II Semitau. The method used is descriptive method through a survey form and interview techniques both unstructured and structured observations and direct measurements in the field. Analysis using the method of determination of the demand model "Stepwise Regression" with the software SPSS 16.00.TNDS area provides enormous benefits of water if valued in money. The results show the economic value of water is Rp 13.444.886.086,92 per year for domestic water needs in the research area and Rp 127.641.323.610,00 per year for domestic water needs in the TNDS area. For fish cages water needs in research area economic value of water is Rp 15.044.768.326,15 per period. Water sources in TNDS area contributes in meeting the needs of water, especially for people who are around the area and generally for people who are out of the area for domestic needs, fisheries, and other economic activities.     Aim of the research was to determine of medicinal plants and their utilization of sekabuk village Sadaniang sub district Pontianak regency. Method of the research is descriptive with interview technical , and data was analyzed to obtain plants species, families, parts used, method of processing, form of the herb, dosage, method of use and type of disease that can be treated. The results showed that were 51 species and 37 families of medicinal plants used. From 51 species of medicinal plants 17 species (33.33%) is trees, 41 species (80.39%) is single plants , 22 species (43.14%) used is leaf 25 species (49.02%) used by boiling, 23 species (45.10%) used by drink and 29 species (56.86%) used to treatment of inter diseases.     Plants Sengon (Paraserianthes falcataria (L) Nielsen) is one type of forest plants that are currently popular enough to be cultivated. Due to its rapid growth (fast growing) so that it can meet the market demand for timber. In addition to raw material for paper, timber plants can also be used as raw material container, wallboard, furniture, paper, and other crafts. This study aims to determine the limiting factor for crop suitability peatlands sengon (Paraserianthes falcataria (L) Nielsen) in the village of Kuala Dua Kecamatan Sungai Raya Kabupaten Kubu Raya. The benefits of the research are expected to be used as guidelines for the development sengon plants in the future especially in areas that serve as regional research and also expected to be an appropriate land management information.From the observations made ??in the field and laboratory analysis, and conduct an analysis of the suitability of the land, the land, including the location of the research into the actual land suitability level is not suitable (N) after the improvement of the quality of the actual land being the potential land suitability classes become marginally suitable (S3 ). Overall peatlands have been studied area of ??10 hectares belong to the class is not appropriate (N-ga). Limiting factors that cause incompatibility toughest peatland research the location for the plant is mature sengon fibric peat (g) and soil pH (a) low (3.49).
