The benefits of Aquilaria malaccensis cause many people do the illegal activities to collect Aquilaria. Illegal logging causes Aquilaria in the endangered category species so that the export trade of this plant is limited. The problem of propagation of aquilaria can be solve with tissue culture techniques. The research objective is to determine the influencce of Naphthalene acetic acid (NAA) and Benzyl amino purine (BAP) on the development of subcultures best aloes. The research was conducted at the Laboratory of Silviculture Faculty of Forestry University Tanjungpura, observations made during eight weeks. The method used in this study is factorial completely randomized design (CRD) with Non-Parametric Kruskal Wallis statistics model, such as ; NAA and BAP as factors with four concentration level and three replicant, as follows NAA (A) : 0 mg/l ; 0.1 mg/l ; 0.2 mg/l ; 0.3 mg/l and BAP (B) : 0 mg/l ; 1.5 mg/l ; 2.0 mg/l ; 2.5 mg/l). The results showed that the interaction between NAA and BAP concentrations has significantly influence to the development of Aquilaria subculture. In this study the best concentration is A2B4 ( 0.1 mg/l NAA and 2,5 mg/l BAP ) where the number of shoots produced as many as 11 buds. Key words : Naphthalene acetic acid, Benzyl amino purine, Growth hormone, Subcultures and Aquilaria malaccensis

Descriptive analysis show the characteristics of societies is different, based on the level income average the respondents included in the high income category 20,15%, medium 61,56%, and low category 17,95%. While, based on the level knowledge there are three categories : high 71,79%, medium 21,80%, and for the low category 6,41% and for the characteristics of the respondents, based on counseling program with 78 respondents, high category 89,74% with 70 respondents, medium 5,13% with 4 respondents, and the low category 5,13% with 4 respondents. And the next category is characteristics respondents. Role of forestry extension the social changes the utilization non timber forest products, having a percentage for the category 91,02% with 71 respondents, for the medium category 5,31% with 4 respondents while for the low category 3,85% with 3 respondents. Inferential analysis results indicate that there is a significant relation between counseling program (33,61) with the role of forestry extension towards social changes and there is no significant relation between the level of income (1,27), knowledge (6,94) with counseling role social forestry in Tunggul Boyok Village. Keyword: Role, forestry extension, social society change, and forest product non-timbe

The research aimed to know the fungus isolated fromtusam seed and utilization of liquid smoke from leban wood with various concentration and pyrolysis temperature to overcome the fungus. This research was conducted in Wood Technology Laboratory of Forestry Faculty Tanjungpura University. The method used at this research contain of two factors. First factor is concentration of Laban liquid smoke, i.e.0 %, 1 %, 2 %, 3%, 4% and 5 %, and second factor is the pyrolysis temperature of Laban liquid smoke, i.e.350oC, 400oC and 450oC. Every treatment had 5 replications. The toxicity testing had done by in vitro methodusing PDA medium mixed with the liquid smoke. The concentration of 5% is anti-fungal and can beconcidered as inhibitor for Aspergillus nigers hyphal growth to 100%, the result of the researeh showed thatconcentration 5% of laban wood liquid smoke is optimum to inhibit A. niger fungus growth. Key word : Aspergillus niger, liquid smoke, labanwood, antifungal, Pinus merkussi

The purpose of this research was to estimate biomass and stored carbon in the forest of Eucalyptus pellita and its potency to adsorb atmospheric CO2. The allometric equation was then developed based on growth dimension and tree volume. Method that utilized is survey's method asosiatif's descriptive by gathers height data and diameter of Eucalyptus pellita one that available at HTI PT. Finnantara Intiga Kabupaten Sintang, 1, 2, 4, and 5 years old. Develop allometric's equation utilizes to methodic regression. The result show that the potential average biomass in stands of Eucalyptus pellita are 69,392 tons C/ha. While the potential of Eucalyptus pellita stands to absorb atmospheric CO2 ranges from 3,783 135,128 tons/ha/years. To estimate relationship betwen diameter and biomass of tree of Eucalyptus pellita, the developed allometric equations is Y=6.622D5,306 , relationship betwen diameter and tree carbon is Y=2.980D5,306, relationship betwen diameter and absorb CO2 (g) is Y=10.940D5,306 with R2=95,2%. While relationship betwen volume and biomass is Y=1,235V0,997, relationship betwen volume and tree carbon is Y=0,556V0,997, and relationship betwen volume and absorb CO2 (g) is Y=2,040V0,997 with R2=99,9%. The aim of this research is to investigate the varios of NaOH immersion treatments and the density of optimal and the best composite board mechanic and physical. Factor of research were the varios of NaOH immersion treatments (control, 2 hour, 4 hour, 6 hour) and varios density ( 0,6 gr/cm3 and 0,7 gr/cm3). The composite board were mixed manually with weight both of polyprophylenes plastic and coir fibres to all of composite board comparison 50 : 50 after were reduced weight of bamboo slats. The composite boards were made with dimension 30 cm 30 cm x 1 cm, where the bamboos were made become face and back of board then both plastic and coir fibres were core board. The recycle polyprophylenes plastic distributed were devided by three parts, those were face layer 15 %, core layer 70 %, and back layer 15 % of plastics weight. The pressure was done with hot press temperature 180 oC for 20 minute with pessure 25 kg/cm. Results of research have showed that physical and mechanical properties oof composite board were increased with the addition of density composite board and reduced of NaOH immersion treatments. Composite board without NaOHs immersion with density 0,7 gr/cm3 is the best and optimum result of composite board. Key words : composite board, coconut fiber, recycled polyprophylene, bamboo layer

The objective of research was to evaluation the effect of application of liquid smoke from Vitex pubescens Vahl wood to rubber wood to inhibit the subterranean termites Coptotermes curvignathus Holmgren attack and to determine the level of concentration and optimum pyrolysis temperature of liquid smoke from Vitex pubescens Vahl wood to rubber wood to inhibit subterranean termites Coptotermes curvignathus Holmgren attack. The parameter of research was retention of liquid smoke to wood, termite mortality and weight loss rubber wood. The results showed that the highest retention of liquid smoke found at a concentration of 15% with a pyrolysis temperature of 400oC i.e. 0.0245 g/cm3. Mortality of termites in concentration of liquid smoke 10% with a pyrolisis temperature of 400oC resulted the highest mortality, i.e. 100% while the lowest weight loss of rubber wood was achieve on concentration of liquid smoke 15% with a pyrolysis temperature of 450oC i.e. 18.69%. Key words : liquid smoke, Vitex pubescens Vahl, rubber wood, Coptotermes curvignathus Holmgre
